Mister Hats is the culprit behind my current crush: hats.
There aren’t many stores around specialized in hats. I used to buy hats from department stores and Mister Hats was the first hat store I’ve ever been to. I was looking for a certain kind of hat (yes, it was the damn beret) the first time and Mr. Lansky helped me find the one rather quickly. It cost much less than I expected. After a brief survey of the shop, I knew I had to come back with the hubby.
As a previous reviewer has pointed out, Mister Hats has a much larger selections of men’s hats (as well as other men’s accessories like belts, socks) than women’s, but guess who ended up buying more hats between the two of us? All I can say is that some hats are pretty gender neutral.
In the age of online shopping, hats remain one of the few things that you’d better buy in store in person and Mister Hats makes it practically hassle free.

This shop epitomizes a great local business. Long-​time owners Alvin and Beth Lansky and their employees provide attentive, knowledgeable customer service. I went in there today looking for a straw fedora (out of season!) for an upcoming vacation, and they were more than willing to dig out their summer selections from storage for me to peruse. They gave great advice on what type of hat suited me best, and provided lots of varieties to choose from. A place like Mr. Hat really is a rare gem – they provide better product and quality of service than any department store or big box store. If they carried a greater selection of women’s sizes and styles, I’d give them 5 stars for sure!

This place has a huge selection of all kinds of hats and (most importantly for me) larger sizes.
Along with hats, they feature belts, ties and other accessories.
Wish I could remember the guy’s name who helped me out, but he was super cool and gave an honest opinion of what he thought looked good on my head as well as what did not.

Mr. Hats is a hat emporium. If Mr. Hat doesn’t have the particular hat you are looking for it either a) isn’t a hat option or b) come back in a couple weeks and see if he has it now.
Other reviewers have listed the hat brands you can find here, and I won’t list them all again cuz that’s just silliness. I did try on a few. I find that I look quite dapper myself in a cowboy hat or two. Perhaps I will have to purchase one in the near future.
Mr Hat also has bow ties, belts, socks and suspenders. My favorite Mister Hat find? The Dr. House canes. I so wanted the alligator handled one. How fancy would I be in a top hat and alligator cane? Fancy!

This is a pretty cool place for hat lovers. I love to stop in every now and again just to see if there is anything new.
You’ll find a hat for almost any genre or walk of life, from newsboy caps and fedoras in various colors and plaids to cowboy hats, top hats and trendy caps in brands like Kangol, Borsalino, Stetson and more. You can even walk out with a feather in your cap!
The staff is friendly and will assist you in choosing the best hat for the season or event. Once you’ve found your fave, turn your attention to the many accessories offered like belts, ties and suspenders.

Amazing selection of hats — I popped in here on a whim to see what was in stock. Apparently everything for a dapper gentleman. The store has been in business for over twenty years and carries the ever-​popular Kangol caps, fedoras from Italy (Borsalino), ‘Gamblers’, a kind of hybrid Crocodile Dundee/​cowboy hat, top hats, as well as belts, canes, socks, suspenders, and ties. They also offer hat-​cleaning services for those who’d like to refurbish their look.
