Thanks to management at Little Italy for so quickly addressing my ‘complaint’ about phone service and delivery policies. I wrote up my experience on Unilocal and was contacted by the restaurant within the hour with a formal apology.(My 13-yr-old read my review and described it as «a little harsh» because I ‘d reduced my Unilocal stars downwards from 5 although nothing had changed about their pizza. Little Italy was and is the best pizza in memphis.) Thank you, Giovanni.

This is the spot for really good pizza, calzones, stromboli, and other Italian foods. Authentic! Delicious food prepared by nice people who go out of their way to make excellent food. I really like sausage and cheese calzone. This is greasy, is it messy, it is delicious! I also like the Italian Sausage Calzone. This is not greasy, with a couple different types of cheese and sliced Italian sausage. It is bigger, yet lighter. My friend loves the chicken Parmesan sandwich, which is pretty good too. They also have pinwheels(excellent) and garlic knots, stuffed pizza, and salads. They have become my go to place for Italian food at lunch time. I just get my orders to go or use their delivery, as even though they have seating… I find sometimes it can get a little crowded and smokey in there.

Let me start off by saying that I’m a pizza lover so finding a perfect place to fix that craving is very important to me. Little Italy has definitely been a great place to satisfy my pizza cravings! They deliver my hot fresh pizza to my door when I call and the delivery driver is such a nice guy! I’ll only order my pizzas from here from now on !

Meatball parmigiana pizza, what a disappointment. The calzones are great. Neat, clean little place. Myself and a few friends stopped in for the first time. They got either calzones or Strombolis and they were great. They were also huge! That’s what I should have gotten because they looked so good. I didn’t. I ordered the meatball parmigiana pizza. Because it just sounded good. They have no right calling it meatball parmigiana. There were no meatballs on it. By definition, a meatball is rolled into a small ball. Not a circle, but a ball. This was like they made cookies and cut them out with a circular cutter. Maybe it was a meat roll and was sliced like pepperonis. Maybe they were meatloaf slices. Whatever it was, it wasn’t meatballs. I count 11 slices of meat(some aren’t complete) served on 6 slices of pizza. I expected more. Next is the issue of what parmigiana is. Well, there’s Parmesan cheese and eggplant. There were neither of these on the meatball parmigiana pizza. Their menu description says it is topped with ricotta and marinara. Unless I’m seriously missing something, I don’t see any ricotta on this pizza. The sauce was more of a pizza sauce to me than marinara. Just everything about it is wrong. It’s really just a cheese pizza with some meat toppings on it so just call it that and I wouldn’t have been tricked into buying it. On the bright side, there so called«meatballs» were really good. The flavor was spot on. The sauce really stood out in a good way. The dough was delicious. It was a perfect example of thin without too crispy or soft. The cheese wasn’t bad, but it really wasn’t very good. It reminded me of frozen pizza cheese. It isn’t thick and chewy and it didn’t brown like a good quality cheese does. If I do come back, it’ll be for a calzone. This did not make it to my list of favorite pizza. The owner contacted me within 20 minutes and explained that mine was made wrong. I think the flavor was there and I will give it another chance. The reviews are too good here to blow it off so quickly. I agreed to the price when I paid for it and agreed to pay for it when I ate it. I appreciate the gesture but don’t feel like I am owed anything. Thanks again. Those spinach rolls looked awesome too!

Pepperoni pinwheels are so addictive! I get at least one pinwheel everytime I’m close.

My wife and I stopped by here while on our way to the zoo. Their pizza is really special. I hope to make it back real soon. One of the best pizza pies I’ve eaten.

This is my favorite pizza in Memphis(or maybe Aldo’s? Hmm.). Classic New York style thin big pizza done right. Even the cheese pizza is flavorful. Get the garlic rolls too, they’re awesome and great to share(or not). I keep coming back again and again. Specials on Mondays and Tuesdays. Every week. Be careful.

Wow! First timers and I was super impressed. My husband and I have been meaning to stop for some time. Upon arrival the staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. My husband ordered a large pizza and I the special of the night, the spaghetti carbonara. Our food came and immediately I was impressed with the serving size. You could tell everything was house made and that makes a huge difference in taste. The pizza was thin crust and huge. I am NOT a pizza fan and let me tell you, it was the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life. The sauce is absolutely amazing. It’s flavorful and robust, yet very little is actually put on the pizza. The slices are huge. I ordered a canoli for dessert but I will eat it tomorrow. I’m too full tonight. My husband’s one gripe was that the crust wasn’t quite crispy enough for him. Wont stop us from coming back though!

Love their New York style pizza. We order mostly delivery. They’re always on time, professional and deliver the best pizza in town.

I only ever order delivery, but this is the closest to NY pizza I have found in Tennessee! Delivery is usually prompt, and always friendly!

The garlic knots are the stuff of dreams– and at the stunning price of 6/$ 2.00! I love to come here with friends and order a medium«fresh mozzarella» pizza! It’s a traditionally thin, delicious medley of basil, mozzarella and scrumptious fluffy crust. They deliver for free and the service is always great! The only thing I’m not partial to is the cheesecake.

I had the pasta, appetizer, and salad with desert delivered, so cannot speak to their pizza. Lasagna was awful, tasted like it was old, definitely not freshly made. No flavor. This came with a hard, dry piece of garlic bread wrapped in clearly reused aluminum foil. Salad was sad covered with olives, which I had asked not be present, so I couldn’t even eat this. The mozzarella sticks were bland and cold– obviously like something you’d find in your grocers freezer section. Best thing was this tiny piece of chocolate mouse cake, likely store bought, so luckily they couldn’t screw that up. Not good.

So, it’s time for an update! They have corrected all of my gripes except the paper plates and plastic ware. I can’t let that stand in the way of giving this place 5 stars! It’s still«divey» and I love it. I’ll give you a short list of some of the improvements… New paint New ceiling New oven New hoods(coming) Windows are spotless Brand new flooring.(This week) Each table now has its own condiments Still, the best pizza I have had. Hands down! I won’t say the best in Memphis because I’m sure others will argue(stupid people, that is [was that out loud?]). I will say I honestly haven’t had a better pizza. I mean anywhere! Chicago included(haven’t been to New York) Especially when you get a whole pie. It’s just divine. Crust is buttery and slightly crunchy. Sauce is just, well, perfect. Toppings are real, fresh, and delicious! Cheese is made from cows that actually live in heaven. That’s right, cows from heaven. Frankly, I hope you don’t listen to me because parking is a bitch most of the time.

Ordered in after new years day parade. Good on delivery time. Ordered deluxe pizza minus the bell pepper. Good. Garlic knots were good too. And decent cannoli.

Love that we could each order the kind of pizza we each prefer by the slice. Big slices that didnt fit on the paper plates. This is a good old fashioned mom and pop place. The locals come here for good pizza. I enjoyed the a slice of deluxe. Hubby got 2 of the stuffed double meat. He liked it. He really appreciated the southern sweet tea too. Amazing that in the northern states«sweet tea is just cold unsweet tea served with sugar on the side. The sugar doesn’t melt so it is really still unsweetened tea with sugar st the bottom. Our tab for the 3 slices and 2 Reg drinks was less than $ 20. They seem to have a good delivery business too.

This is one of my favorite lunchtime getaways. My standard order is a slice of pepperoni pizza and garlic knots. The pizza is the perfect mix of greasy and cheesy, while the garlic knots are pipping hot and potent. The Stromboli is also a solid choice, but be sure you brought your appetite or a to-go box will be needed. Best of all, a slice of pie, an order of garlic knots and a drink will set you back less than $ 10.

Ordered delivery at a friends. Food came on a reasonable time and was hot. Delivery guy was good. Pizza was not bad. Pretty good crust but light on the toppings. Wish I had remembered to take some pictures. Late night after the Cooper young festival soo… The meatball sub was not good. Did not seem to be home made meatballs and they were cut in half to fill up the bun. Pass on that big time. If you think it’s good try the sub at Elwood’s Shack and you won’t any more. Seemed overpriced also. $ 50 plus for two pizzas and a sub par sub. My last experience with the place wasn’t anything to write home about either. Don’t think I’ll rush back.

Friendly service and the reviews don’t lie about the pie. It’s pretty good. Especially for the prices, very reasonable. I enjoyed mine pretty fast, and had some extra for the morning. They have seating in store, atmosphere is nice, not over the top at all. I would definitely stop in to have a bite.

First off: Don’t go here if you’re on a diet(true of any Italian restaurant)! Now that we have that out of the way, this place is NOTHING like I expected. For some reason I always thought this place was a fancier sit-down joint. I mean, the food is good, but fine dining with wait service it is not… at all. When I suggested this place for lunch, I thought it was the perfect place for a business meeting… but it is more of a college hang out or run-n-go type place than somewhere to take a client. Oopsies. Fortunately, the pizza was yummy and made up for my lil faux pas. This place is just a good old fashioned pizza place and there’s nothing wrong with that. I wish it was a little cleaner(the floors were pretty sticky…) but the medium pizza was ginormous and delicious.
