This is a hole in the wall kind of place. When you walk in, it’s pretty empty with not much decorations but the food is legit! You must try the chicken shwarma wrap or the falafel with the sauces they recommend with it. But if you’re not a big sauce fanatic just get one sauce.(They usually put like 2 or 3 different ones) the wait for the food is kind of long since they only have 1 or 2 people working, but I think it’s worth the wait. I think you get more than what you pay for definitely!

Awesome food! Great seasoning and tastes. Four of us went there and we all ordered something different and we all loved what we had. The only thing I would tell the owners is… you should cut down your fries servings… save yourself some money. I could not even finish them or my wrap. The amount of food you get for the price is perfect too. WE loved it.

Went there for a quick lunch after reading all the amazing reviews. Went there with a friend. We ordered a falafel sandwich combo with fries and split the meal. Even after splitting, it was so much for us. The wraps are huge, really huge. It was pretty flavorful. Jiji used tahini and tzaziki with loads of veggies and pretty moist and crisp falafels. It was good value for the money. I ve heard their chicken wraps are pretty good, I ll try those and update the review. The interior and décor were how u expect for a hole in the wall. Though I liked the veggie wrap, it was not the best I ve had. May be after having the chicken wrap, I ll change my view.

Bottom line. Valuable lesson for cooks about flash frying frozen food. Outside cooks but inside will still be raw. I Love Middle Eastern Food and was really excited to read the reviews on this place. It should be noted this place has a very Spartan feel to it, soda is 12oz or 20 oz cans & bottles, menu was focused on Gyros, Shawarma & Falafels with lamb, chicken & veggie. I ordered Lamb Gyro, wife got the Chicken Shawarma 3 year old got chicken strips… only the strips were raw. The Store seemed to be having a bad day. The woman in front of me had her take out order made wrong also. My Gyro Wrap was good, & I like the wrap concept, but having to explain to a hungry 3 year old why she has to give up her food is not fun… for anyone. I’d be interested in giving them a second try, & hope next time is a better day.

The wraps here are HUGE for the price. The place doesn’t look too great from the outside and is very bare inside, but the food is great and cheap. The seasoned fries are also a must.

LOVEDEVERYTHING… except the décor(and also my wrap wasn’t exactly skillfully or aesthetically put together, extremely delicious though) Do you ever get mad at yourself because of something stupid you did perchance? Thats how I feel, stupid for not having tried it until they are weeks from closing, as far as I know. I being a fatty got two wraps thinking I could polish them off and also thinking the fries aren’t too special so I didn’t get them, but as so many people are raving I may have to make another trip to try them soon. Anyway, spicy chicken and falafel. Have I talked about how huge these things were and now I’m sitting in basically stupor just waiting for that coma to come? Seriously chipotle, swankys, moes, blue coas… well not blue coast as its gone now but whatever, they can go eat their hearts out because this place has everything you’ve been cutting into.(quality, price point, quantity — scored two extra falafels) If you haven’t been get it while its still good because seriously Woohoo! As good as it gets! And on a little side… or more like very very off topic and perhaps offensive note? I just want to say that jiji(I’m assuming) is mad bad. just utterly gorgeous.

My first visit was a good experience. The staff was very nice and altered my wrap to my spice liking. I will be back soon.

Omg, my girlfriend and I went here and we are stuffed! Make sure to get the combo with seasoned fries! The pricing of the food is such a deal for how big of a portion you get! The restaurant is homely, simple, and very clean. The owner is very nice and she always greets with a soft smile. Tip well, please, and help keep the business alive!

I just went to Jijis and I can say I will definitely be back the next time I am in Memphis! I had the Felafel Wrap and it was HUGE! The people were extremely nice and helpful! The place is not what you would expect from the looks of it but, trust me, you need to try it!

Hell yessssssssss!!! That about sums up the entirety of my feelings on this subject. The Spicy Ethiopian Chicken wrap? Just do it. And make it a combo with seasoned fries because you won’t regret it — at all. I couldn’t believe how big it was either… as big as my head! Heck, it even split when she was wrapping it up because it was so large. This place is pretty nondescript and bare bones when you walk in… truth be told, I thought they were closed. But thank heavens they weren’t. When you go to the counter, you order your food and then she comes back out with your cooked meat and meets you at the salad bar where you tell her what all you want on your magical meal. I got a combo that came with a wrap, seasoned fries(enough for both of us), and a canned drink plus my boyfriend’s wrap for just $ 15 and some change! I tipped well, of course, so I walked out of there with a baller meal for two of us for about $ 20! Unbelievable how good of a meal this was… and you know I’m always yapping on and on about getting bang for your buck, and well, I did I did.

I have not had anything quite like this meal in Memphis. I got the chicken shawarma wrap and it was so tasty. The vegetables were fresh and the sauce was very flavorful. The price was great too. I definitely will want to go back and try some of the other menu items. 5 stars!

Next time I’m in Memphis, I’ll definitely go back to Jiji’s. This was my type I place; incredible food with a great portion for a great price. Some may be turned off by the location and the view of the place from outside, but you’ll be making a big mistake if you don’t go inside! I had a simple Gyro and was very impressed with the quality of the food as well as the portion.

I will return to Jiji’s. I was impressed with my meal, and the overall cost was nice. But something was missing. I can’t put my finger on it. I need to try it one more time, before I dole out that 5th star. I had the spicy Ethiopian chicken wrap while there. I also took a gyro to go. The meat was prepared well. I will have to ask for less sauce next time.

I absolutely love this place. The food is so good. It’s just what we needed here in Memphis. Something different and something with flavor.

Little price, BIGFLAVOR and a heck of alot of food! I’m so glad that I found this little tucked away gem. Do yourself a favor and visit. We had the Spicy Ethiopian Chicken wrap and the tilapia wrap. Each came with a ton of fries or chips and a drink. The flavors were literally an explosion from the first bite. Come hungry or you won’t be able to finish the nine inch long, three and some change inches wide wrap stuffed with meat, veggies and a light sauce!!! I truly want another right now!

Very good falafel, fresh, great seasoning/sauce on the wrap, and huge. Philly cheese steak a friend had was good add well, seasoned well. Friendly place, great prices.

This place is amazing! Some of the best falafel I have had. The veggie platter is so flavorful and full of unique spices. There are hardly any vegan friendly restaurants in town, and this one is just delicious, so that is also a plus. But if you are not vegan you should still try these two dishes, you WILLNOT miss the meat. This place is a must if you’re in or live in Memphis.

Very simple, very delicious, very cheap! Nice service from the gentleman up front who took my order quickly and let me know that they had a college student discount – flash your ID for a buck or so off. Much appreciated! I got the Spicy Ethiopian wrap like many other Unilocalers and could not believe the size of it when it came out. They stuffed it chock full of all the fresh veggies, but the meat itself was still the star along with the interesting spicy-cool(I don’t know how else to describe it) sauce. You could easily have two people split one of these wraps and still have leftovers. You could possibly feed a family on just one combo, if you didn’t want to keep the deliciousness just for yourself. My stomach said stop several times throughout the meal, but my tastebuds kept calling for more. I got 2⁄3 of the way through before I admitted defeat and went on to sample the generous side of fries that came with it. The fries weren’t bad. I liked the seasoning, though I would’ve appreciated a bit more ketchup. Parking wasn’t bad at all and there looked to be a number of other affordable and interesting options on the menu. Note though that since it seems like they fresh-cook everything, it does take a few minutes for the food to come out.

Jiji’s Wraps occupies the old Pita Café location on Park Ave. I was hesitant to stop in due to a couple of unsavory visits to Pita Café. Don’t make this mistake. It may be the same location and similar menu to Pita Café but that is where the comparison ends. The first thing I checked was the familiar condiment bar. At Pita Café I saw wilted lettuce, dry tomatoes etc. At Jiji’s everything on the bar was very fresh and appealing to the eye. This is a Mom and Pop establishment although a very young Mom and Pop. Jiji,(I presume) greeted me at the counter and was as charming as anyone could possible be. Her husband offered a smile and a friendly wave from the kitchen. I opted for the Spicy Ethiopian Chicken wrap. I was offered a slight warning about the spice which only intrigued me. I watched her pile on my choice of toppings from the fresh condiments and add the«Secret Sauce» and garlic sauce to this colossal wrap plus the spicy chicken her husband had prepared in the kitchen. At home I unwrap my wrap to be amazed at the size, the freshness of the ingredients but most of all, the wonderful flavors inside that Pita. Spicy indeed, and so full of flavor. Everything I’ve had was top notch and the service is a match.

More diversity in food options… YEA! They have the best felafel I have eaten in town with some authentic competition. They have their«special sauce» that is probably not as bad as the sauce from McDonald’s Big Mac in calories, but you sure feel real good when it drips down the side of your arm. I think I cracked the flavor profile accurately, but I would never take the«jam from their doughnut» by divulging it. :) Yes, folks. The sauce drippage and bountiful veggies make this place a «number one stunner!» I cannot help but yearn to support our local, diverse cuisine culture that is slowly-but-surely proliferating our city.
