Visiting places like this is never a fun experience, yet alone something to look forward to. However, by coming to these types of places it does paint a picture of what one can expect in old age and I tell you, it is not a pretty picture. I rather enjoy the wonder years.

I noticed my mother in-​laws roommate (two patients per room) had to use the bathroom. The majority of people in this place cannot make it to the bathroom on their own. I understand the staff gets busy, but when I see 4 – 5 people in the hallway and someone needs to be taken to the restroom, it should not take 8 – 10 minutes to be taken, when you gotta go, you gotta… go. On a positive note, there were times when they came within 3 – 5 minutes.
The majority of people here were nice, especially the psychologist, occupational and physical therapists. As with any hospital, it is important to visit family members and be sure they are being treated right. You have responsibilities, as well as they do. Be proactive in your health.
