Will not be back too bad i had hoped it would be good knowing it was a buffet i still had hope well there are way too many great places to eat then to spend your money here. Overall bad experience!

The food is okay but it is not that great where they can harass you for a tip. They will stand right in front of you and wait until you tip them and don’t care if you’re finish eating or not. I am a person who tips but I didn’t leave one that day due to they’re actions. I was highly offended and will be eating at this restaurant again.

Both ladies and mens restroom where filthy! The chicken was so salty, it gave my husband a headache. Both of us become sick after eating there! Won’t be back there again. It was a big waste of money!

The food is good for a buffet. The service is very tacky. I’ve been here several times with my family and they will stand there and watch you write the tip. One time the server returned the check and demanded a larger tip. We discussed this issue with a manager, but this problem continues. If you want a tip, that’s fine, but give me some time to write up the gratuity based on what I felt the service deserves. I don’t cheap out on tips usually, but when you’re standing right over me that’s not okay.

The food was fresh, hot and delicious and they kept it replenished and the service was great. I will certainly go back. Great variety of food. The fried catfish and shrimp were awesome. All the Chinese dishes were wonderful too. I did a carry out of hibachi chicken it was so good. Tables were cleared quickly and they would constantly keep things wiped up.

Amazing buffet and sushi. The food was fresh and stayed filled the entire duration of our time at the restaurant. The staff was friendly and made the experience great. The sushi was fresh and tasted great. Top notch buffet in Bartlett!

I am giving you four stars out of the kindness of my heart. I think I two stars is more accurate, and five stars is out of the question. This has been a favorite place for me to go my whole life. It was Ryan’s steakhouse, and a country buffet, and maybe ten years ago, the grand Pacific. I’ve had many a good memory here and plenty of special occasions, and that may have made me become blind sighted to how bad it really is. Since becoming grand Pacific, I’ve eaten here at least twenty times with lots of different people. At ten bucks a head, we’ve probably done $ 500 – 750 here over the years. I haven’t been since becoming a Unilocaler, and pulled it up and found a lot of negative reviews, and from people who I trust that are usually spot on. Are they all wrong, or is it me? Sometimes I’m super critical of places everybody else loves, so how can we be so far apart? So I just had to go try it again to see if the service declined or if I’ve become delusional. I’ve really enjoyed the sushi. This is definitely not the best sushi in town, not by a long shot. The problem with sushi is that it’s expensive. I can spend $ 50 on lunch for what I consider good sushi. So for what you get here for $ 10, I’m happy. There is definitely value here. Also other buffets that serve sushi tend to do it without the fish. What I call cheap sushi. This is in between and the best value I know of. The selection across the entire buffet has remained consistent over the years, and I’ve never been disappointed that they were out of something or no longer serving it. I also like how the spread is arranged together with other food. In other words, it is organized to make it easy to find what you want. There is plenty of salad and fruit, and even a Mongolian bar they will cook your food at. I usually prefer buffets for lunch at eleven o’clock. I will go as late as twelve thirty, but no later. That’s any buffet. I also realize that buffet food is mass produced and doesn’t get the attention a cook gives an individual dish, but I’ve never had a bad meal here. I can’t understand why people are hating on my place! Well, I read what they said, and checked it out and it’s confirmed. I pulled up and gave a good look at the building. It looks run down. It’s an eyesore. They did a complete renovation inside ten years ago which still looks great, but the outside is horrible. I forgot to mention all the separate party rooms. It’s a big place. I got my first plate, and it was still the same good food I’m used to. I can’t figure out whats wrong with everybody. So, I started taste testing everything. That’s when things got interesting. That’s when I realized I’ve been eating the same dishes every time, and not been bold enough to venture. Yep, it turns out the Unilocalers ARE right! Thanks a lot Unilocalers, you’ve broken me from my spell. I’ve been coming here for sushi and nostalgia! The calamari is usually good, but it was super, super salted. Like five different people salted it. The chicken wings, both kinds I tried were just gross. The Chinese dishes were bland and tasteless. That stuffed shrimp you see on my plate had the worst tasting shrimp ever in it. The food really is bad. It all seems like big boxes of thaw it out and warm it food. I’m sure it all goes in the walk in at night to wait for tomorrow. If I didn’t like sushi, I don’t know what I would eat. I don’t eat American food at Chinese buffets. Just don’t do it. The Mac and cheese was surprisingly good. The wings suck. How do you screw up chicken wings this bad. That’s all I tried from this bar. I skipped the fruit and salad bar. I usually do. I usually get the peel and eat shrimp, and they’ve been ok, but skipped that today too. I eat dessert about once a month, and finally tried that today just for you Unilocalers. The cookies were the only thing edible. It all looked like pre bought crap that you just thaw and serve. That Brown cake tasted like some high powered coffee, the red cake was just, well weird. There were these weird coconut things that aren’t good, and these weird things with seeds all over them. I tried ten times to get a picture of it, but it was so weird, my camera just refused to focus on it. I tried a bite of soft serve ice cream and it was all right, but I stay away from soft serve. Soft serve machines can be a breeding ground for bacteria and can be dangerous if not cleaned properly. It is a big job to clean them properly and it has to be done daily. I just don’t trust that they are.(disclaimer: this applies to all restaurants and does not imply that this one is endangering your health). So why four stars? This is based on twenty meals, not just one. If it were my first meal, you’d have 2. If I didn’t eat sushi, you’d have one. That sushi is your only saving grace! My review is too long to continue. I added some tips.

I stay away from buffets and this is another example why… I only went because coworkers were going, but I was ready to rid myself of my buffet bias and this didn’t do it for me. The sushi was surprisingly okay. I was probably the«best» thing I had there. The quality of the food is poor and the flavors kind of meld together. I tried many items and found one item besides the sushi that I could eat, which was the jalapeño chicken. Also the price for lunch Chinese buffet was ridiculous — $ 9 with tax.

The buffet is huge. Not just Asian. There’s an American bar always stocked with fried chicken. Mac n cheese, Lima beans and peas, a roast beef to slice away at, chilled shrimp, a fruit bar, a salad bar, a sushi bar. The variety here is the big deal. The downside is that they are often busy with not enough staff to keep drinks filled. The other downside side is that it’s always the same. I wish they would rotate out a few of the dishes. It gets a bit dull after a few trips so I don’t go as often as I might. If you’re a people-watcher though, grab a seat close to the front with a view of the buffet bars and prepare to feast on views and the food.

Going to Grand Pacific is like the upgraded version of going to Grand Buffet, more food, better service. They are both owned by the same people, as I was told, but you should go to this one. Before I should begin my review, I should say, it was… Grand. Seating. Never takes too long. The longest that we’ve waited was about seven minutes on a busy night. The booths are nice to be seated at and the hostess was very kind. she sat us at a nice booth that was sanitary and lived up to my expectations of what restaurant seating should always be. Sanitation. The bathrooms were okay in sanitation, running low on toilet paper almost every time I go. The booths were great in sanitation as well. One of the cleaner restaurants that I’ve actually been to. There was an absence of crumbs everywhere, and that was nice. There were no stains of any kind, nor were there any leftovers lying on the tables. The janitors and cleaners do their job accordingly to what the customers beg for from other eating establishments, subtracting itself from its less sanitary companion. Service. The service was nice and pretty quick. They check on you when you needed a refill, which was not too often, they checked on you, just in general to see if they had catered to your needs. i was satisfied with the service. Food. Pretty good. It has some great rice and some appetizing shrimp that taste delicious. The desert is phenomenal, and the vegetables… some are decent or okay, nothing too great about them. Overall, Grand Buffet would make it on the top 5 list for buffets, probably around 2. Ryans will always have a place in my heart for greatest buffet. But i would still recommend this to geat an inexpensive(Sorta) bite to eat. It has lovely scenery, but their is an issue, not with the actual restaurant themselves, but with the constant flaw in the game machines, like to get watered stick on tattoos and gumballs. They never really work. Other than that, it was great.

This is a popular lunch spot for me and a few coworkers, and seemingly lots of other professionals during the work week. There are always lots of people here during lunch time so fresh food is constantly being brought out. The sushi bar is beautiful! At least 10 different roll options and seaweed salad(yum!). If sushi isn’t your thing, there is plenty of Chinese food like wontons and general Taos chicken to choose from as well as American food like fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and such. There is also a nice seafood selection that includes baked mussels, cold peel shrimp, and oysters. There’s a salad bar, soup, and a dessert bar as well. This buffet has a really good variety of food and it’s definitely fresh during lunchtime. My only compliant is that when waiters ask you if you need a refill on your drink, they don’t bring a pitcher to the table. Instead, they pick up everyone’s cup would said yes for a refill– 2 or 3 glasses that look the same and could easily get returned to the wrong owner :( Overall, I recommend Grand Pacific to anyone that loves a buffet where you can get your fill of sushi and Chinese food.

Literally the worst food I’ve ever eaten in my life. Shame on you fellow Unilocalers for leading me astray. I was excited to eat here. For the first time in my young life, I was afraid to eat the food at a restaurant. I went through 3 full plates, trying every single thing they had available. And absolutely nothing was edible, or even felt edible. It didn’t feel like anything was actually food. There’s no way anything was fresh. Not one thing tasted remotely similar to any other experience I’ve had with that food. The sushi was edible I guess. That’s the only thing I could eat without wanting to puke. I can’t really put into words my experience and how disappointing it was. Just don’t go there, please. I’d rather you chow down 3 Big Macs than go to this place. And if you do decide to go, stick to the soup and sushi. The entire establishment is a disgrace to food.

I love the sushi. It’s good. It’s a buffet, so there’s plenty. They have regular Chinese food on the buffet as well as some soul food ish food. The restaurant seemed clean and service was attentive. I also enjoyed the peel and eat shrimp. The raw oysters were just ok. I was unimpressed with the fried chicken. It was a Sunday and there were a lot of people there, so I’m sure that helped to keep the food fresh. I debated giving it 4 stars. I think if I had only gotten the sushi that I may have done a 4.

It was okay. They had plenty of options, but the only thing that was really any good was the Chinese food. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you just want Chinese.

For being first timers, my family and I were hesitant to eat here by just looking at the building. Once we got inside we felt a little better. This buffet is like a diamond in the ruff. Food was fresh and constantly being restocked. Nice size sushi bar. Service was pleasant. Some building maintenance wouldn’t hurt though.

Six buffets not including the sushi buffet keep all the visitors to Grand Pacific happy. Besides being super clean, staff was constantly restocking the buffet. There are traditional Chinese dishes and Southern American dishes; general tso, fried zucchini, fried rice, fried chicken, wonton soup, cabbage. Every child I saw had soft serve ice cream on their lips while adults were going for the sweet biscuits and ice cream too. I had never had sushi with the snow crab mix that seems to be so popular in Memphis as I am from Virginia Beach and was able to finally taste that here. There is even a hibachi grill with meats such as shrimp and chicken.

Yum yum yum. Go for sushi alone! We love sushi but it adds up quick but here you can eat all for like $ 13 and it’s the good rolls! And several varieties. Best time to go is Sunday during church crowd because food will be piping hot fresh and the sushi just rolled.

Very clean inside. Huge buffet with lots to choose from. Sushi is very good. At about 10 bucks a person, it’s pretty hard to beat. They had a tv playing an infomercial for an exercise program. Made me feel great about myself when I was finishing up my second plate.

As others have said, I hesitate on giving a five star rating to a buffet. However, if I ever were to do so, it’d be this place. The restaurant itself is very nice and clean. I went on a Saturday evening and even then, with as crowded as it was, there weren’t tables of dirty plates or food on the floor. Any time I went up to the food, there were always employees wiping down the area and bringing out fresh food. As for the food, what can I say? They have everything. Really, everything. If you don’t even like Chinese food, you’ll still be okay. They have fried chicken, catfish, even mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and more in terms of American food. I’m sure it’s just a weekend offering, but they had seafood out too, like mussels and shrimp. There was also a very large sushi area. Some Chinese buffets I’ve been to do have a sushi section, but it’ll be maybe three popular types and that’s it. Here there’s about everything you’d see at a sushi bar, and it’s included in the regular buffet price. There’s several sushi chefs behind the counter constantly preparing new ones, so there isn’t even a question of them being fresh. Moving on to the more traditional fare at a Chinese buffet, they have it all. There’s the typical sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken, lo mein, multiple soups. There was also something called salt and pepper shrimp… it was so good. Lightly battered and great seasoning. There was chicken broccoli, even just a tray of vegetables. And the lo mein? It’s one of the best ones I’ve ever had, even at actual sit-down, order off a menu Chinese places. It’s not at all oily or greasy like it is at other places. All these offerings mean even if you’re a vegetarian, you’ll have plenty to choose from. There’s also a generous section for desserts, from the typical Jell-O to cream puffs. And no buffet would be complete without ice cream. They have an actual soft serve machine so you can get your ice cream on demand, including a cone. The price is not bad, either. The dinner buffet is $ 10.99 plus drink. Given all that’s offered, the value is tremendous. The quality of the food is great too, everything tasted great and fresh. Nothing tasted funny or like it’d been sitting under a lamp for hours. There are so many Chinese buffets around town it can be hard to find a good one, but this one definitely is.

This was a very nice, clean and well decorated Asian/Southern American buffet styled restaurant. They catered to pallets with southern fried, seafood, desert, fruits and salads and my favorite SUSHIBAR! There was a great variety of sushi and cooks in the back to stir fry your choice of meats. And ALLYOUCANEAT for ONLY $ 10.00. The hostess were very attentive and accommodating for our party of 8. The food buffets stayed full and fresh. I will be back!
