I loved this little market. Good selection of early fall veggies, meats and fruits! There was a food truck serving snacks. Not to forget– a man playing an accordion to seal the deal. I would recommend this to my friends. Can’t wait to come back for more!

The Botanic Garden Farmers Market is not in my neighborhood, but I am very into buying fresh veggies and planning dinners around that. Since I had not made it to another market recently I trekked to the Botanic Garden to stock up on cute little baby carrots(tops still attached), a small watermelon(perfect for smoothies) and zucchini(will you take 4 for a dollar?) which will be incorporated into my white veggie lasagna. I was very tempted by the gorgeous flowers, but stuck to my veggies

I love @memphisbotanic sooooooo I am SUPER embarrassed to say that I am a life long Memphian(minus 4 years) and have never been to this farmers market. This place is awesome and I feel pretty stupid for never having gone… especially since I’ve been a member here forever and support pretty much everything they do. Farmers markets and the Botanic Gardens… perfect merging of two of my favorite things. Now that I have THAT out of the way, let me tell you that I am pretty mad at myself for having no idea I could be spending my Wednesday afternoons this way. OK, I guess **now** I’m done ranting. Anyways, you need to pop by here. If you love shopping and eating local this will be right up your alley. And don’t forget to stop by Mama D’s Italian Shaved Ice stand by the entrance. That stuff is GOOD! I’m obsessed with the salted caramel and can’t believe it was only $ 3. My mom, a master gardener, once told me that her favorite people are plant people because they have to be good people to nurture plants. At the time I thought she was high(totally kidding, my mom most definitely doesn’t do drugs), but now… I have to agree with her. The more time I spend talking to farmers the more I realize that these people are the good ones — loved the banter I had today. Plus you can’t beat the fresh, organic goodness they are selling. And the prices are extremely reasonable! My only problem is that I came with $ 40 cash and spent it all in 10 minutes. Too much good stuff!
