I’m rating Diamond Brokers two stars after the way my engagement ring turned out and my interaction with management to address my concerns. My ring is an oval stone — my fiancé’s late grandma’s — in a new halo setting, and there are noticeable gaps on the left and right sides(the long sides) between the stone and the halo. When I went to Diamond Brokers to ask if it could be fixed, they said it could, but for hundreds of dollars. I asked how this error could’ve happened, and was told that they do their best to measure the stone and then have the setting maker(ours was in Singapore) create a halo to fit the measurements. I was still confused(and still am): if you had the original stone, loose(out of its original setting), how would a professional measure it incorrectly? Diamond Brokers then insinuated that if it had been one of their stones, or if I had been a larger stone, this might not have happened. Those words stung, as I’m extremely honored to wear this family heirloom. TL; DR: might not be the best place to get a halo engagement ring.

Being a guy, I struggle with finding gifts for my girlfriend. She worked here for a bit and always raved about the prices and the owner, Stephan. I came in one day when I knew she would not be there and met with Stephan. I gave him a budget and a date I needed it by. He pretty much took care of the rest and it turned out better than I ever expected. My girlfriend wears the necklace every day. The whole experience was painless and I will never shop anywhere else for jewelry. The store is located next to TCBY at the corner of Poplar and Brookhaven. The owner/jeweler is easy to talk to. He does a lot of hunting which makes him relatable to most men.
