Delta Groove Yoga

Delta Groove is my second home. Meredith is great for people beginning their journey with Kundalini yoga. The energy that fills this place is sure to have you hooked. There are people of all types here. Every teacher is fantastic. If you’re looking for an uplifting workout for your soul and body give Delta Groove a shot. Another perk is they have the most reasonable monthly unlimited yoga rates in town. Namaste.

Delta Groove Yoga is the best. I love all the positive energy I feel when I walk through the door. I have been taking Olivia’s Kundalini Yoga class. I had never taken or heard of Kundalini before, but I am learning so much. Olivia is a great teacher! She’s so passionate!
I have also had a lot of interaction with Diana. I haven’t had a chance to take one of her classes yet, but she has answered a ton of my questions. She’s like Wikipedia!!!
DGY has so many different classes and workshops. There is something for everyone!

Diana is the jam. I absolutely adore her class so if you’re wondering which class to pick first, I suggest you start there.
Delta Groove Yoga is such a cute yoga studio in Overton Square… THE place to be in Memphis. They have a storefront full of yoga goodies as well as juices and bites from Cosmic Coconut. Check out their website for the full schedule but there are PLENTY of options to choose from!

Thanks to Unilocal I got to try out Delta Groove Yoga. I’m still new to yoga, but the instructor was really helpful. The whole experience was very relaxing. I enjoyed the neck massage with china gel and poem reading when class was ending. They offer different types of yoga classes, as well as other services like reiki and acupuncture. A big plus for me is the grab n go juices from Cosmic Coconut they sell.

I’m so glad I got to try this place out thanks to Unilocal and the offer from Delta Groove for One Free Class! Everyone here is so friendly. Our instructor, Diana, made a point to come by before class and introduce herself. She made me feel comfortable and gave pointers to those who were trying yoga for the first time.
The studio was open and inviting with tall ceilings and windows. In the back of the room they provide an assortment of tools for class and extra mats. And for those that may have forgotten a water bottle, they have two water fountains in class.
I really enjoyed this class! I certainly don’t have a ton of yoga poses in my repertoire, but was surprised to learn some new (challenging) ones. And some deep stretches I had never used before. Diana ended the class with some relaxation exercises while going around and massaging this amazing gel onto our necks and guiding us through meditation tips. She closed the session by reading us a poem.
I’d like to come back sometime and try the smoothies and other menu items they have up front. They sound delicious and refreshing if I’m ever in midtown and want a healthy snack on the go.

I adore this space! In my opinion, they really harness what it means to actually be a «yogi». They have crystals along a few of their walls, and the ambiance is really unlike any other studio I have been to. I could really see myself transforming here mind and body :)!
If you want to be immersed in the more spiritual side of yoga, I think this is definitely the place to be! They even read a poem at the end of each practice… LOVE that! I also love they have healthy food/​drink items, and even sage!
The only downside is parking, but they don’t really have control over how poppin’ midtown has become. I definitely can’t wait to go back!

This was a beautiful space! The floor is amazing. The studio mats are better than mine that I forgot to bring and the atmosphere was laid back and relaxing. Everyone was kind, accommodating and encouraging.
I really enjoyed Delta Groove. It’s an experience to remember. My neck is still tingling from China gel!
This is definitely a scene to visit again!

This is by far my favorite yoga studio! The energy is amazing & the instructors are great! They also have a wonderful gift shop with awesome candles, trinkets, and clothing. The floors & mats are always very nice & clean, as well! Don’t wait any longer to come try out this fascinating studio, full of different classes. There’s something for everyone!

Charlene Gaffney is an awesome instructor and gifted massage therapist. Whether you opt for Ashiatsu foot massage or Thai, you will not be disappointed! I can also heartily recommend Aaron’s intro Kundalini yoga class — I loved it!

I took the intro to Kundalini class on 1÷13÷15 and fell in love with the calmness of the studio. Once class starts it is a mix of a calming atmosphere and a fun yoga class. The instructor encourages people to focus on their practice and having fun. I left the class feeling energized and the next day was extremely sore and I’ve been doing kickboxing for over a year!

When you are ready for an experience that delivers on the promise of what a massage should do, it may be time to head towards the way of Thailand. Both Charlene Rhea Gaffney’s and Neil Pope’s Ashiatsu Deep Tissue Massage gets the job done. Whether you have knots to work through on the table or you just need the full yoga experience (without doing all of the work), I highly recommend both. I’ve had literally hundreds of massages over the years and the crew here is as good as any I know;

I was so ecstatic that I wouldn’t have to trek out to East Memphis for fresh organic smoothies. I couldn’t wait to visit once I saw the advert. When I arrived at Delta Groove today, I was disappointed to see they only had ONE juice in the fridge, and it wasn’t the combo I was wanting anyhow. I purchased it anyway. But, holy smokes! The 5 oz. or so drink rang up $ 9+ with tax! I know organic is expensive, but this price was astronomical given the amount of juice you get. You can get the same green juice at a local competitor’s (unnamed for politeness) for $ 3.50.
For what it’s worth, the yoga studio space looks gorgeous and I’m sure the classes are fine — but this review is not based on that aspect.
