I want to give them a higher rating because I liked the girl taking my order, but the food was of the«meh, I’ve had better variety.» I can cook better Chinese food myself and I’ve never been to China. The food was bland and in desperate need of some«Five Spice Powder.» Even some packages of «Duck Sauce» didn’t help the flavor. On the plus side, it’s cheap and they give you large portions. I’ll come back if they let me go back in the kitchen and give the cook some tips.

I hadn’t been here in quite a while because the quality of the food had gotten very bad. It got to the point I was throwing away more than I was eating. I know it’s just cheap fast Chinese food but other places near by have proven you can still do quality and be reasonably priced. That being said I was very busy at work and needed something quick and close so off to Bamboo Garden I went with fingers crossed it would be edible. First thing I noticed after I entered was the lady that had always been there was no longer running the place. It looks like new owners but I haven’t been here in well over a year so I have no idea how long it’s been since the ownership changed. I ordered the General Cho’s Chicken and headed back to the office hoping everything was good. I opened the bag and the box and was surprised to see so much food. The chicken was mostly white meat and not over cooked and the sauce was very good although they had drown the chicken in it. In the past the chicken was tough and hard to chew so hats off to much improvement. The rice is o.k. but it could be so much better with the addition of some vegetables. I will eat here again but more than likely will drive out to Dexter to China Wok if I want some really good General Cho’s Chicken for a bargain price.

It’s cheap Chinese. Cheap ingredients = cheap prices. Sure 85% of the dish is MSG but who cares?! We’re not there for the gourmet factor! We’re there for the bust your gut, food coma inducing poo-poo platter.(or insert your own favorite dish…) You’ll be hard pressed to spend more than $ 10 here and you’ll get stuffed spending $ 7.50. Don’t plan on doing any hard work afterwards because the only thing you’ll be able to do is sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep… zZzZzZz

Their General Tso Chicken was horrible. It was not very tasty; it was like they added some sauce to some nuggets, microwaved it, and called it General Tso Chicken. Also, their fried rice had way too much soy sauce, as the rice was a very dark brown; the taste of it was very bland, too.

This is a very small Chinese restaurant located on the outskirts of Memphis, near Bartlett. The prices are lower than some Chinese restaurants, and the quality demonstrates that. However, the food is still much more than just edible, and makes for a nice take-out idea. Eating in, I wouldn’t really recommend, as it’s such a small space. The chicken with broccoli with white rice(large serving for $ 7.50) was decent — the chicken wasn’t over or under-cooked, and, overall, I got what I paid for. I’d go there again. The menu is extensive, with good deals and the usual, egg food young, fried rice, lo mein, pork, seafood, beef, vegetables, and chicken, as well as hot wings(gotta jump on the bandwagon!) available in ‘hot’ and ‘spicy’. You can get a family pack for $ 19.99, which includes fries or fried rice, and four drinks.
