Way overpriced for the portion sizes without delivering on taste. The burger tasted like charcoal. When the woman at the window gave me my food, I said«thank you,» she said nothing except giving me a rude smirk and a snide«mm hmm …» Won’t be going back.

Tried the turkey burger which was DELICIOUS. Sure wish more eateries had that option. There are two: the wild and the classic. Fast service and electronic self registers made for a quick in-n-out experience. Give this place a go!

No sense of urgency going on around this joint. Particularly at 630 near closing time. Bianca saw me from behind the counter and took her sweet time getting to the cash register, then stood there waiting for my order, no smile or a hello or anything. I ordered the chicken tender combo. She rang it up, said $ 8.18. I paid and waited. And waited. Guess they had to go slaughter the chicken too. Finally, I see the lady on the fryer slap my tenders in a box, close it up, and throw the box on the top of the metal shelf. She scoops up my fries. The other young lady throws it all in a bag and hands it to me. No thank you, no have a good flight, nothing. I ask for ketchup. She points to where the drinks are, still saying nothing. Well hey, at least the chicken tenders are good. The fries… not so great.

Yes, they serve breakfast, and yes, the line looks short, but I promise you are better off standing in that ridiculously long line at Lenny’s or Starbuck’s. It will go faster. I know, I know, that seems impossible. But I literally waited 15 minutes for my burger… fast food indeed.

Starting with frozen patties mostly cooked before they are ordered, stored in a holding bin then reheated once ordered. Yummy!

Food is average and fries were soggy. Don’t expect a lot from airport fast food. Pretty pricey even by airport standards. Burger was pretty good but as expected from BYB.

I like that there’s an option for a turkey burger = 1 star My food(for airport food) was pretty good and not at all expensive = 1 star So the food is good and it’s cheap but the service is almost comically bad. You order at a touch screen kiosk which I’m fine with, but the kiosks don’t work all that well. Options selected don’t always come through meaning you may need to reenter your order more than once. My simple burger took 10+ minutes and it most certainly wasn’t grilled to order. There were no less than 6 employees standing around doing literally nothing. One was sitting on a bucket(!) staring vacantly into space. The rest were idly chatting or getting some quality text time in. Good thing they’ve got those kiosks to spare these clearly overworked individuals the pain of having to take an order once in awhile. If you’ve got a ton of time to kill, by all means stop by and see just how long it can take to fill a simple order when employees really apply themselves to being lazy.

I actually really like Back Yard Burger so when I had a tight connection in Memphis, I ran to grab something quick, or so I thought. After placing my order at the self-ordering kiosk I waited at the counter anticipating that something was going to happen. But, it didn’t. When I turned around to look at the seating area, three BYB employees were sitting there having a leisurely lunch while I waited at a deserted counter. One of the employees seemed to yell something to someone behind the counter, come to find out that all along there was an employee relaxing in a chair on her cell phone. I assumed that she was supposed to be working. When she caught my eye, without getting off of her phone she whispered to me that I needed to pay to complete the order. When I waved the receipt in the air, she got off of the phone, put on gloves and started making my burger. Meanwhile, one of the employees had finished eating her meal and she offered me a drink for my wait, which I appreciated. While the burger was decent, if I’m in a rush again I probably won’t stop at this place. The experience was very strange and unlike any other that I’ve had at other Back Yard Burgers in Memphis. Perhaps it was just an off day at the airport location… at least I hope that was the case.

Very cool self-order-kiosks. Disappointing burger and very disappointing fries; especially for the price.

Only eat hear if you are desperately hungry. The hamburger was definitely filling like a thick piece of cardboard — and check your toppings… I didn’t get what I ordered. But all of us on the diverted flight were stuck. And no longer starving.

$ 11.00 for a decent burger, fries and a hotdog at Memphis airport. I paid $ 10 for a single sad turkey sandwich at LAX! Neverheard of Backyard Burgers but I guess this a chain found throughout Tennessee and neighboring states. We ordered and paid at a kiosk and food was ready within 10.

After waiting 5 minutes for two burgers, they just gave me one! Then I asked where is the other one. A woman throw it to me. When we begin eat, we found the burger was not the one we ordered. After changed it, that woman even not say a sorry! This store should closed. The food are bad too.

yesss I love not having to relay my order to a cashier. I don’t like talking to people, especially not in an airport where I’m already frazzled, so this was perfect. My burger was okay, nothing special, and fries tasted like the kind you get in the deli of a grocer’s– thick, greasy, and tasty.

This only got an extra star because this place had electronic ordering machines where you could order and pay(which means, I know I put in my order right). I was disappointed in my burger. My burger was barely even warm, like someone didn’t turn on the heat lamp. My problem may have been that I was only one of two customers there. The bun was stale on the outside and the mayonnaise was almost non existent. The only reason I gave two stars is because of the cool ordering system and and the veggies on my burger was fresh. Eat somewhere else if you have the time.

best fast food for a cheesburger! the burgers taste like they are straight from the grill! Also, the seasoned fries are delicious. The salads here are great for a fast food restaraunt really tasty!

I had a layover in Memphis on my trip back from New Orleans. The first thing I saw when I exited the gate was an Elvis store. Not surprised. But then! What did my nose smell? Only the best barbecue sauce one could ever hope to lay their hands on. I followed my nose around the corner to a barbecue place, pasta place and burger joint. I looked at the line for the barbecue place — too long. My layover was only about 45 minutes; plus the menu catered to the red meat eatin’ folk. So I opted for the burger joint because I knew they, too, would have barbecue sauce which was what my mouth was watering for. Now, as a girl who has had fast food maybe 3 times in the past 6 years or so(2 of which were also at an airport) because of my general distaste for it, I could not have been more surprised at how excited I was to eat this service line food. The woman at the counter was the first good sign. She could have been a terrible person for all I know, but that accent just killed me. It was great. I ordered my number 8(grilled chicken sandwich, fries, medium soda — I never drink soda… without alcohol) for about $ 10, which I thought was asking a bit much. I realize it was an airport, but I was down south after all — aren’t things cheaper down there? I asked for barbecue sauce on the side which was no problemo. I sit down to devour my food and I could hardly be more pleased. Well, they skimped a little on the lettuce and tomato, but this is fast food. The chicken was delectable, the fries were amazing — thick and fried to perfection, and that barbecue sauce did not disappoint, let me tell you. Even the soda tasted better than I remember! The Northeast does not know how to do fast food right. I would gain 20 lbs if I lived down there. So, the moral of the story is that this place was good enough for me to add a new business for it and to write this really long review.
