If you’re looking for a good all – around tackle shop that doesn’t carry minnows, along with a family-friendly environment, then Andy’s Tackle is where you want to be. The owner is friendly and knowledgable, and not afraid to give his opinion. Their tackle selection is above and beyond the standard mom and pop shops. They carry everything for fishmerman who want to do DIY. Andy’s has a wide selection of fishing lines, from mono filament/superbraided. The shop also carries beginner to expert selection of rods, and the same goes with the wheels… Their bait lures are comparable to Bass Pro and Cabella’s. Pricing is fair. Highly recommend going in before hitting the river! Also free literature near the counter/exit for you to grab on your way out. Great family owned business!

Local tackle box specializing in Pure Michigan. Yes, everything and anything sold here is pretty much what you will need and be needing if you are an avid angler. Uh-huh, beginner, intermediate or advanced, you’ll find everything you will need here. There’s a lot of things here for the angler and the enthusiasts. From live baits to synthetic lures, swivels to braided lines, and all of the above. This is the spot for you to find your fishing needs. Don’t know what you need and what to use. Guy behind the counter is extremely knowledgeable with all the good stuff. We came in for reels and lines, asked him which would be a good all around reel and what line would be good for it. He recommended us a good reel and a good line, even spooled it in for us. These guys are really good, if you’re looking for a local tackle and bait shop. This is where you wanna be. Life is awesome Follow me on instagram @rodtorres3 Weeeeeeeeeee!

This local independant tackle store is my absolute favorite. While it may not have the hottest Strike King crankbaits or every rapala lure out there, it does have a little bit of nearly anything you can use to fish. Their is reason they don’t have everything your modern tournament bass fisherman would need though. They very much cater to the needs of the local demographic. So if have the ever so popular michigan stand of Walleye fever you won’t leave this store disappointed. There soft plastic section is pretty decent enough(while a little light on the tubes), as is their crankbaits and stickbaits. They may not have your specific lure, but they will have one that’s close enough. Jigs, Rigs, Spoons, jitterbugs, and old school wood poppers are plentiful and varied. Their rod and reel selection is medium sized with everything from cheap shakespear reels to the beautiful quantum exo. Andy’s does lack live minnows. They do have crawlers and waxie’s though. Another area of the store that leaves much to be desired is the spinnerbait and bass jig area. As mentioned earlier they cater to their crowd and they seem to only like the bland northland spinnerbaits. They do stock alot of the boo-yah buzzbait line though. So if your a spinner bait/buzzbait junkie you’d be better off at gander mountain, basspro, or cabelas. One area of product Andy’s really excels at though is lure making. This place has everything for a DIYer. Jig and sinker molds, lead bars, blades, hooks, wires, blank bodys line about ¼ of the store, much of which is geared towards the fly tyer. The very best part of Andy’s though is that the facts, opinions, and local knowledge are all free. The store is ran by anglers and shopped by anglers, both of which will be willing to share what they know with you. I have learned much about the art from listening to anglers go at it about the techniques. Tight lines
