The charging port on my Samsung Galaxy S5 went bad so I asked these folks to repair it. When I got it back, it charged but then it could not stay connected on a phone call. Ever. I took it back and they tried to fix it again. Still unable to make phone calls. They then said it was probably a bad mother board. I paid $ 95 to get a broken phone back from them. That’s what I gave them. So, I took the phone to iFixandRepair in the mall and they replaced the antenna. The phone now works perfectly. That place only charged me the $ 26 diagnostic fee because I’d been ripped off on the other repair, and the fix should have been obvious to anybody. So… given a choice, I would not return to Space Coast iRepaid.

I made the mistake of trying to replace my own screen because friends have done it and they told me it was easy. Went to this place because I obviously messed up and they said that my digitizer was damaged in the process. Of course, they had to throw in a scolding remark about how«professionals» should do it. If their advice holds true, that means seeing a professional entails going to the Apple store, right? Anyway… they quoted me for the digitizer and screen replacement, which was very fair. They said it may take longer than usual because the ipad mini screen they had in the back didn’t work for another customer’s ipad so they might have to order a new one. A day later, I got a call that it was ready… I guess that screen was suitable to use for my ipad(??) I picked it up and asked«what if I go home and find out it’s not responding as well or something?» to which they responded«it came in damaged so there’s not much we can do but we will work with you». Saying you’ll work with the customer means it will come at a cost so I didn’t have much confidence. It’s been a few weeks and my ipad mini is slower than it was before, especially delayed when scrolling and selecting something. The wifi reception is terrible(weird because my iphone and fire will be right next to it with more bars and never had a problem before). The side of the screen isn’t properly sealed and I received the ipad with residual glue on the edges. The biggest peeve is that the home button misaligned and partially stuck so I have to press harder. I noticed this when I picked it up but thought it was because the screen was«new». Aside from these setbacks, my screen is not cracked so they did what they were supposed to do, right?
