Big Rip OFF from GW Pumps. The female tech started removing sections of 1 ½″ PVC from the inside of the irrigation pump house, and outside saying that we had to make sure there were not «leaks» in the PVC. What really was needed was a check valve, so it took her 3 hours to re-​assemble everything, and a $ 100 per hour hourly rate! That is more than a auto mechanic! I CAN NOT recommend GW Pump and Purification, at 1712 Bunche St Melbourne, FL. Their web site is
They charged me $ 500.00.
Update. I spent $ 500 for re-​piping back in June 2014 by a female tech from GW Pump. What was actually wrong was the pump was wore out! I had to replace the pump (NOT with GW Pump!) GW Pump needs to be investigated for criminal activity!
There was no reason for the tech from GW Pumps to get out of the vehicle and IMMEDIATELY start sawing off the PVC pipe from the pump house. She did no testing, just sawing.

Beware — if you want to write about YOUR experience be prepared for the owner to harass you! I’ve been contacted multiple times by e-​mail and even given another unsolicited lecture about how they are still right and I am wrong and then asked to change my review because negative reviews impact their livelihood! Seriously? Paying over $ 300 for nothing impacted us. Just reinforces what we experienced and I wrote about in my original review — the company and its employees see things one way — theirs, and no other perspective or experience receives even the briefest consideration.
