Grills Riverside Seafood Deck & Tiki Bar

We moved to Merritt Island a year ago and making our way around to all the Resturant in the area but this is the BEST we’ve found. Had dinner with close friends and enjoyed everything about our evening. Food was great, service was better and we all really enjoyed our selfs. This is now our favorite place to go. Very special.

The tiki bar seats 14 people. I’ve been here several times (had to sit inside mostly) but once I actually got one of the coveted spots at the tiki bar. The bartender was nice, but the regulars are very territorial. I think I was in one of their «spots» because I got a lot of weird looks and the atmosphere quickly let me know that I was not a regular and was taking up space. Not the classiest looking folks either. A shame really, because the shark kabobs were excellent!

Food was average service was poor sat inside. look like outside was fun but extremely loud would not go there for dinner again

Love this place! The rock shrimp is amazing, i can eat a full plate by myself. My favorite is definitely the bacon wrapped shrimp! Great service too :)

A restaurant whose cooks are unable to distinguish between rare, medium rare, and we’ll done is off my list.
It’s nice to eat outside on a cool breezy day. No bar inside. You can eat at the outside bar. Food is marginal to good, depending on what you order. They can’t get the tuna right IMO. Been there. Done that.

Ok so this place was recommended to us. We are from out of town and was told great things about this place. So we decided to try it out and it was super close to where we were staying. We were celebrating a birthday and had about 8 people in our party. I called a day before to make the reservations and they said to call back on the day of. I called first thing they opened up and was told that they already had filled up the reservation spots for that day!!! I guess others had the same idea as we did.
I was told to call back an hour before we would arrive and see if anyone had called to cancel. I did and was told the same thing that there were no spots. I then was told that I could just «show up» and see if any spots in the back by the water were open. I then asked when would be a good time to get there since I had 8 people showing up, to just get a table to accommodate and they said «Now, since it’s not super busy yet». This was 430pm.
So we rushed over there got there by 5ish and was able to grab 2 tables thanks to 2 of the waiters, I am sorry that I forgot their names. Great guys tho!
Overall, good food, a lot to chose from, great views of the water. Def a place we would come back to next time we are in town!

Great service and extensive menu! The fish is grilled to perfection. I love their tsunami shrimp. Fish tacos are great too. Shark kabobs are moist and unexpectedly delicious. This place is always packed so come early and plan ahead.

Their parking lot is always packed, they must have excellent food! Not really, it was actually pretty disappointing. This place lacks any enthusiasm from staff. It’s fine, no one was rude or anything, but it was just a boring experience. I had a fish sandwich (Mahi) and it was dull. It just lacked any flavor. They serve everything with potato chips. Would’ve been okay if they weren’t all crumbs! Seems like this place makes it more than obvious they are serving low quality, boring food at a high price. We sat inside, atmosphere was blah– no music playing or anything. There was a band outside, probably should’ve sat out there!

We love this place! My family and I have eaten here about 10 times in the last 4 months, and we keep going back. The wings are awesome, most other food is good for the price. Atmosphere is awesome (though I have only sat outside). I love sitting on the water. I love that this place sells lion fish and they sell a lot of it. Great place to just grab a beer after work or to get dinner with a big family (we had a table with 9 once).

Just had an excellent dinner and experience at Grills. The outside bartender was very friendly and extremely attentive. We split the kabob combo which was fantastic. Shrimp, steak & chicken. Service was quick, food was good adm the atmosphere great. What more can you ask for. We will be back whenever we are in that area.

Eh, not super impressed. I came to try the shark kabobs based on a recommendation and they were out. I struggled to find something else that really appealed to me and out of hunger settled on fish tacos… I am a pretty big taco fan of every variety so I figured this was a safe bet. They were alright, I had blackened yellow fin tuna which was pretty good, but there toppings were minimal and just blah.

SO I love Grills. I have been eating here since they only had the location at Port Canaveral. I however, like this new location better. It is obviously newer and just seems cleaner to me and removed from the bustle of the port.
I have my go-to’s here and that seems to always be the Fish Sandwich (I always get the Mahi Blackened) and the clam chowder. I know people that do not like the clam chowder, but I would have to say it is one of my favorite places for chowder.
The Mahi-​Mahi Sandwich. don’t even get me started. This for me is the best Mahi sand which I have ever had. Partly is the way it is served. The bread is always soft and there are no strong over-​powering flavors of tarter sauce or some other sauce. Just fresh and light. Also, with it’s location you know the fish is always fresh.
The location on the water is always nice and the drinks are pretty good too! I always try to visit Grills when I make a trip to Brevard.

Lion fish! Grouper! Mahi! The list goes on. This place is a must try if you like seafood or want to have a great dining experience on the water. I’ve been here a few times and the food has been exceptional.
Tamika was our server this most recent visit. She was so professional, knowledgable and friendly! I’ve never had bad service here, but she was a rockstar with recommendations and had a great personality. This time she let us know one of the fresh fish of the day was file and we’d never hear dog it, so she described it to us. She told us the «best value» on the menu for lunch was the lunch fish of the day, and it was a great deal. I had the file blackened with Tahiti taters and mixed veggies. I would go back for that again, although there is so much more on the menu I’d still like to try. Go!

The view cannot be matched. Our food was delicious I got the shrimp Cuban and it was amazing. We did not venture to try to lion fish but a table near us got it and said it was excellent. Our waitress has handled her tables like a boss! Such an awesome place we will certainly be back! By the way her name was Allison! Kudos to Allison!

My Husband Tony and I had a great lunch sitting out on the deck enjoying the beautiful Indian River!
Can’t wait for the weather to warm up so when we take the boat out we can pull up to their dock and have a fabulous lunch or dinner!

Let’s go right for the food… the paradise burger is no joke amazing! The classic and shrimp Rueben delicious. Tuna poke and grilled tuna in seaweed salad sooooo gooood… Island girl approved flavors.
The place is awesome. The staff definitely makes you want to come right back.
The inside was nice, but we took the seating right out to the Buoy Deck and they kept the drinks flowing. We will definitely be back. Rock on Grills!

Great view (but this is to be expected at most establishments in the area). Amazing deck. Probably a good place for drink and apps on the deck. Service is fine, food is mediocre. Last time I was here I ordered the Poke and if you are from Hawaii or have had Poke before this was not very authentic — well I guess it was kinda sorta authentic. The main thing was the obnoxiously sweet rice it was served over. It was sweetened with coconut milk, more like Thai rice (which is very good, but no so much with Poke. I suppose they are catering to new clientele). I would have been happier with just the Poke, but the rice probably made it look like a bigger appetizer (pupu). Went again a few nights later and it was an hour and a half wait. We did not wait… went down the road (south) and across the street to the Pineda Crossing. So much better.

Great outdoor seating. Staff was very accommodating when we brought a cake in to celebrate a graduation.
The food portions were a little disappointing. Fries are an upcharge.
My fish tacos were not the best I’ve ever had but they were ok. The fish was nice and fresh though.
Overall, nice environment but everything else was average.

We all had different meals and all were excellent. I had the large lion fish dinner with potatoes and vegetables and it was very good. Figured I could eat a large and I did, but very stuffed now.
My wife had the wings with voodoo sauce and she said they were awesome.
Son had the Cuban we wished he would have omitted the mustard but said he loved it. The others in our party had the chicken tenders and the spicy shrimp Cuban, both said that they were excellent too.
The service was great, brought drinks and food very quickly. Prices seem cheap for the quality and quantity of food. Would go back again and again.
One of the top places we have eaten so far in Cocoa Beach/​Melbourn/​Port area.
There was live music playing outside, but with a 20+ mph winds we decided to stay indoors.

Cold beer, outside deck right on the bay, and live music make a great place to relax and chill with friends.
I have only eaten here for breakfast and the food was very good. Breakfast burrito and pizza omelette are definitely something I would order again.
Prices are very reasonable and the service was great!
