I love this popular Media location’s hours. A late night rock show in Philly and some hunger pangs on our way home brought us here for a drink at the bar while we waited for a takeout order. My lady had a nothing special house Chardonnay and I had a delicious Stouts Carnival Kolsh draft. Pinocchio’s stepped up big time in the craft beer revolution years ago and their beer game is the strongest around(sorry 320 but as good as you are these guys beat you in beer). Our pie was ready quickly so we settled up with the now pizzy waitress because her tab was just 2 drinks. Once home, we tried the pie. It reminded us of the pizza you ate in college minus the cheap price. That pizza tastes good only because you are too zonked to really taste it(it’s why Taco Smell does such good business when bars close). The sauce is sweet which is a MAJORFAIL. Sugar does not belong in a pizza sauce. The best pizza let San Marranzo tomatoes speak for themselves. The crust wasn’t crispy. The cheese was no way just mozzarella. Again, the best pizza in Delco is Ravenessi in Glen Mills and Gaetanos.

While I love delivery from here, I ate here the other night and had hands down the worst service I’ve ever had at any restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. I’m usually pretty understanding of servers since I was one for a long time, but the way my family was treated was inexcusable. I was eating with some family members that I rarely see and my three small nephews. Our server consistently gave us dirty looks, ignored my nephews, and didn’t check on us after we were given food. We were in a room by ourselves and my two year old nephew was playing with the napkin holders. One of the bussers came in and rudely took the napkin holders away from my nephew without saying a word. Who does that to a small child? I was horrified by the service and would strongly discourage anyone to ever go here. The server and busser we had should be ashamed of themselves not only for doing their job poorly but for being awful humans.

Awesome food, always reliable I’m in the Media area 6 – 7 times a year and pinochios is my go-to for grinders an hoagies. Rolls are always fresh, built well an grinders not over toasted. My wife’s favorite is chicken cheesesteak. Hard to go wrong. Also, if you are thirsty, the wide roaring selection from the beer garden great. Staff us always friendly and efficient.

Have never eaten here but takeout is always good. I like the wraps and Strombolis. Really like the wings — big, crispy yet juicy. Go for the bbq which have a little kick as well.

This review is for the beer garden only. Living in Media, this place should be a great resource for craft beers. I cannot fault their selection, or the knowledge of their staff as they are both excellent. However, this place just is not worth going to if you are trying to go anytime that might be considered peak hours. The building is long and narrow and if it is busy, everyone crowds in and makes it near impossible to actually buy anything from the cases that line the walls. It would be phenomenal if they could move to a location that could house their devout customers as their current space is just too small. If you come on an off time, then the rotating taps and the vast selection is really worth your time and money. Just avoid this place like the plague if you are looking for a drink around 4 – 7 or on a Saturday.

I love this place. For starters the staff is always friendly and most have been here for years, I mean 20 or so. If they love working here the management must know how to treat them which I like because it only enhances the experience when people are happy and friendly. The food is pizza place charming. All good and daily dinner specials run the gamut from Italian to Meat loaf. Re décor is pizza place not been updated. A little sad really. An update to their century instead of 1967 when they opens would let me take a date hear early in the dating cycle instead of when we know each other’s kinks(non-physical I mean) Huge menu. If you can’t find something here you must be pregnant. I love the Strombolian they are done right, stuffed full in a tube of dough, not rolled. Not burnt, delish. Draft beer list is all crafts and somehow the owner gets limited release and hard to find beers. The staff know a decent amount about beer but can’t always make a recommendation other than«people like it». I have never been to the beer garden because the tap list leave me pretty well satisfied whenever I am here. The list they provide is nice. It gives descriptions of beers to help me select and let’s you know what is coming up on draft for your next visit. The only complaint here is that they cross out the kicked taps and you can’t read them. sometimes I like to know what I missed out on for next time when I see it I will know. They can fixe that easily by just not using a black marker, people will get the point. Over all great relaxed pizza place with a surprisingly great beer selection.

We order and eat-in here a lot. Their beer selection is very good, for one, so there is a plus. On every occasion I have ordered a personal sized pizza, it has been a thin, soggy, uncooked mess… but every time I order something OTHER than pizza(Pretzel roll sandwich, cheese steaks, etc), it’s pretty good. I’ve just given up on the pizzas.

One of my favorite places. Food is good and very family friendly. They give pizza dough for the kids to play with and they have GREAT beer selections for the best beer snob like my hubby! Definitely a great stop!

By far one of my favorite places in media. Their food is awesome. Cheesesteaks are delicous and the pizza is addicting. The cheese steak eggrolls are like crack! They have a sit down bar inside, a take out side and a beer garden. Their tap list is enormous and they are always getting new rare beers on tap. At times you may be lucky to see things like pliny the elder or hill farmstead on tap but it goes quick as regulars stalk these selections. Their beer garden has a very large assortment of craft beers and are always getting new seasonal beers in. You can drink in the beer garden from either bottle or tap and also get food. If your looking for some good beer and good food this is the best place you can go in Delco!

Place is dirty Bathroom reminds me of the subway Food makes you poop Service is horrendous Owner is an ogre — per his employees Other than that — beer prices are ridiculous and guys serving beers are pretentious, rude, and most of the time half drunk. Stay away — or take you Imodium with you

Utterly amazing! I’ve been here at least 10 times and I’ve never had a problem. The sandwiches are thick and huuuge! Their meatball sub is fantastic! So is their chicken parm sub(made with house made chicken cutlet!). They have amazing homemade onion rings too! Their pizza is fantastic with fresh made dough and a good sauce. Personally i like their Sicilian the best. A small Sicilian can feed 3 to 4 people! Their beer selection is very on point with at least 30 beers on tap, with cask specialties and nitro. I especially like their barleywine selection.

This has been a staple of my childhood and I have really enjoyed keeping tabs on how it has evolved over the years in my eyes: Child: The first thing the waitstaff always did was give us pizza dough to the play with at the table. Then crayons magically appeared and pizza was cut into tiny slices. Customer friendly. Teenager: Enough seating to fit my family(4 — 6 at any given time) and table space to fit our food. I started to notice the décor was not fancy or updated — ever — but the food always hit the spot. It wasn’t anything original but consistent. They could do more to appeal to the vegetarians though(I went through the anti-meat thing in my late teens/early 20s). Adult: Beer flights? Yes please! They have tons of craft beers. One thing I wish they would do is have more beers from the local area, or create a flight specific for those beers. I can forgive the décor never being updated because that is part of the restaurant’s charm. The pizza dust, the locals at the bar, the kids running around is what make this place comfortable. I can’t forgive the bathrooms though. I think they should be updated pronto. Menu highlights: buffalo chicken pizza(personal pan can feed 2 people). Every time I visit my family back home this one of the places I request to eat at and I don’t think that will be changing anytime soon.

This place is an absolute joke. My BF and I have been wanting to stop by for a while now and boy are we sorry we finally did. If your not familiar with the restaurant, you walk in past the bar and stand and wait… And wait… For someone to seat you. After finally being seated we waited and waited again for our server(I believe her name was Colleen?) to come over. She gave us the old«whaddya want??» Told her our food and drink order and off she went. Little did we know the theme of this meal would be WAITINGANDWAITING. Beers arrived(beer selection is the only upside to this place) then a bit later came the two pizzas we ordered. A veggie and a tomato pie, which were good. Nothing to write home about. I had also saw other tables getting breadsticks which I assumed were complimentary and asked for an order because we were never offered them. After delivering our food, our server proceeded to go out to the front of the restaurant and have a leisurely smoke with a friend. We were sitting near the window so could see her out there for 10 minutes or so. We sat with empty beer glasses hoping someone would take notice and offer to get us another beverage since our server seemed to have better things to do. At this point I’m getting pretty fed up and wondering where a manager is. Not one person of any authority seemed to be present. After watching our server come in from her smoke break, not even wash her hands, and start working again I was ready to go. We waited another 20 minutes. Finally a bus boy came over to clear our plates and I asked him to ask for a box and the check. Paid our bill and got the heck out of there. We will NEVER return and if anyone ever asks about Pinocchio’s I’ll certainly tell them of our experience. I don’t know how they’ve held it together for 60 years… Maybe many leisurely and unsanitary smoke breaks.

We find this as our perfect spot for dinner with the kids when in the mood(which is often), for pizza. Pinocchio’s is celebrating 60 years in business and definitely still possesses that vintage feel. Once inside you will find a small bar counter that seats approximately 15, a good amount of larger size booths as well as some tables mixed in. There is also a large window that allows visibility into the pizza shop. This feature serves as a great attraction for the kids, especially if there should be a wait(i.e. Friday nights). We love their pizza, wings and cheese fries. My wife will sometimes audible out and go for the chicken finger salad. All are great and also relatively inexpensive. The kids are also provided with dough balls to play with while waiting for dinner. Who isn’t up for the challenge to try to construct the perfect snowman out of pizza dough. P’s also has beer garden with an applethera of offerings both in bottle and on draught. An issue I find with many restaurants that offer a wide selection of crafts beers is that they usually do a poor job of communicating to their patrons their expansive offerings including descriptions as well as updating once rotations have been made. P’s on the other hand, recently added flat screen monitors that display up to the minute availability of their brews w brief description. We love this place. The food and service are always on par here. P’s has something for everyone!

Very kid friendly. Rowdy and messy kids will barely be noticed here in the casual atmosphere, which is sometimes what you want as a parent of young ones. Good beer list, too.

They are coming up on their 60th anniversary have a week of specials plan for everyone. On Tuesday May 12th many their prices are going to go back to 60 cents. On Wednesday may 13th its back to the fifties celebration with a DJ from Wmmr are here. On Thursday May 14th is my favorite called give back Thursday. They will donate 15 percent of your bill to one of four media charities. Friday is a family night special for $ 20 not sure what it is but it sounds interesting. Saturday May 15 is Family fun day they celebrate 60 years with free slices of pizza, live music and tons of fun for everyone 12 to 5. They have revamp the menu and the food is definitely gotten better its worth another try.

A local institution that has totally lost whatever former excellence it may have once had. Ordered a jumbo with pepperoni and sausage. The crust was dry and completely without flavor. The sauce and cheese were sparse and the sausage was some sort of generic pseudo-meat that didn’t even taste like sausage! The pepperoni was fine. So, if you like expensive, flavorless pizza, hurry in!

Hands down the best wing sauce I’ve eve had. Great beer selection, family restaurant without feeling like you can’t say a few curse words in casual conversation. Sweet beer garden. Modern concepts with traditional pizza dining. Keep up the good work!

If I didn’t have good experiences here before this would be one star. I’ll break this into two parts one part pizza place and the other part beer garden. The beer garden was great when it first opened but I feel after the last 9 – 10 months they have had the same selection. Every time I’m there. I find myself looking for something different but it’s always the same. God forbid you go in there during a peak hour, there is no room and the people hoarding around the counter by the cash register won’t give you the space you need to look in the cooler behind them. The restaurant used to have a decent pizza. I remember in college going here on Wednesdays for all you can eat pizza but I don’t know what happened between then and now. Me and some friends were hungry so we headed here tonight me and another friend wanted to split a plain upside down pizza. I kid you not they must have cooked the bread and cheese in the oven then dumped sauce on it after. When it was brought to the table the lake of sauce was steaming but was not hot or bubbling which gave me the impression it was added after. Please look at my picture and you will see this massive abundance of sauce just pouring off the pizza after removing a slice. It was a mess. I would have expected this type of pizza from a teenager mad at home. This is sad.
