Still haven’t received my security deposit

I rented from Philip Green & Son for one year — from March 2013 to March 2014. Very positive experience. All the employees I dealt with are very pleasant and helpful. Sue, the office manager I was in contact with most, could not have been more accessible and responsive anytime I needed her help. In the year I lived there my unit needed a new refrigerator, I told Sue there was a problem and had a new fridge delivered free of charge within days. The property I rented was in a very old building, so there were a couple little issues over the year like the fridge, but nothing major and everything was taken care of by the property management in a timely fashion. They returned my security deposit in less than a month! If you’ve rented any property before, you know that is a major plus! The only reason I’m not giving them 5 stars is because based on what I pay each month at my new apartment less than a mile away, Philip Green & Son was a little on the expensive side for the amenities offered, but a great company to work with nonetheless.

I would not recommend renting from these people. I have had multiple experiences with them and none if them have ever been great. The first time I meet them was when I was looking for my first apartment in media. They came off as very fake, clearly just wanted to make some money. When they showed me their availible apartments I was astonished. It did not seem as if any of there apartments were well taken care of or clean. If something was clearly wrong, dirty or broken there was always an excuse. When I was done looking at the apartments I just didn’t feel comfortable with these people who seemed really fake. I never did rent an apartment from them but this wasn’t the last I saw the greens. They can been seen around town alot (considering the own alot of buildings in town) but they never seem pleasant, especially the one son. Recently my friend was renting an apartment from them and they had nothing but trouble. The place was poorly maintained and rarely did fixes get made when needed. I also experienced the one son being very unprofessional and rude towards my friend. We were hanging out when we were rudely interrupted by the son with a real nasty attitude. There was a disagreement with my friends place and instead if talking about it or even asking questions the Green son barged in throwing a fit. My friend had young nieces there too who had to experience this. At the end of his hisey fit the Green son stormed out the door saying don’t f*** with me. My friend didn’t give him any attitude and the grown man acted like a spoiled child throwing a temper tantrum. The experience was the icing on the cake. I knew I didn’t like these people and know now that I would never, ever rent anything from them. Their properties are poorly maintained, over priced and ran by a nasty family. I would never recommend renting from Philip green and son
