Went there for dinner and the food was good… service was great. We ate in and I do agree that the place is more suited for take out… prices are a little high, but they do serve bigger portions… We will be back

The first time I ordered calamari with marinara sauce to go. After I got home, I realized they forgot the marinara sauce. My second call was to order the Greek lasagna, which I was then told they only served on weekends. They didn’t mention that on the menu. Food is very over priced anyway so I will not be ordering from them again. Besides that, they are extremely loud and inconsiderate of their neighbors!

In an area of Delaware County surrounded by closing business(see Granite Run Mall, Pathmark/Kmart on 352, etc.), Niko’s take a bold step to draw people in from one of the toughest locations off of Rte. 1. Their fusion restaurant that’s a mix of Greek food and brick oven pizza seems quirky, but I was happy to report that the stop in is worth it. Just next time it might be for carryout. Atmosphere — The location is a tough one, but once you get inside, Niko’s is very plain. A few tables with both high and low seating and some TV’s are the main things my eyes went to. It seems like the layout here is very quirky. Our table was right by the door, so every time someone came in on a crisp fall night, we felt a bit of a draft. They sell beer here and the beer coolers are in the back of the restaurant, meaning you need to walk by everyone dining if you want to eat. Add in the beer signs from the window, and I wasn’t sure if this was more of a bar, an indoor dining place, or a carryout option. Waitstaff — Our teenaged waitress was very nice and friendly. They used some team service to bring out our food, as well as help us make some orders. But if you’re dining in, there’s no beer list. We were invited to go to the cooler and pick out what we wanted. Again, seemed more like I should carryout the food, so as not to worry about a tip. Food — Okay, so maybe I didn’t go the Greek route. My diner and I did try some of the hummus with pita. I’m not a huge fan in general, but my diner said it was okay. Nothing to rave about, but a pretty decent attempt. I went with wings as my appetizer, and these are more of the ‘naked’ style with a watery sauce. Again, decent, but nothing really to write home about. We split a brick oven pizza and I have to say I was very surprised. The crust was chewy, which I’ve never had when dining with a brick oven style. No crunch. Sauce and cheese were good, and sausage topping was thick and meaty so good there. Add in a generous cooler with some of my favorite beers on tap, and again, think this might be a better ‘grab and go’ location. Intangibles — If you’ve ever driven past the hospital, you know how tough the area where Rte.1 and 352 meet with traffic is dicey. Now add in a sharp right turn with a blink and you’ll miss it stop and you can get the idea. I also think the food here was a bit pricey, $ 10 for wings was a pretty steep amount, and a 12″ pizza for $ 13 was also a bit steep. Some of the other food options may be worth it, but, eh… I’d have to give them a try for a totally honest review. Overall — Well, I’ll give them another shot and update the review, but my first visit was underwhelming. Really not sure if I’ll be dining in, so maybe a carryout experience will be better. If you’re going, plan on finding a first come/first serve table and think pizza shop more then in house dining restaurant. I appreciate the effort of opening a new place in the area, but the concept seems to need some work going forward.

I was soooo excited to see a Greek place had opened right down the road from me so I had to check it out. No, I didn’t try the pizza. I did, however, have a gyro and it was delicious. The tzatziki was PERFECT. I definitely could have used a little more though. I was pretty disappointed in the saganaki, although it is by no means the fault of the establishment. Saganaki can be made with a variety of different cheeses, this one just so happened to not be one of my favorites but I would absolutely recommend trying it if you are a fan of goat cheese as it reminded me of that kind of taste(tangier). The staff was very attentive and huge plus that they stock a good selection of craft beers(AND Crispin– woohooo!!) As other reviewers have commented, it is a little more pricey than other pizza joints but keep in mind that not all ingredients are created equal. My $ 8 gyro was a steal for the amount of chicken that was on it and everything was fresh. Did I mention delicious? I will definitely be back to try some more offerings. I hope these guys do well!

I stopped here to pick up lunch. It was around 2:00PM. I ordered a Greek pizza to go and grabbed a beer(Dirt Wolf) while I waited. The place is spotless… but they are new so I guess anything less would be reprehensible. They only have 12″ pizzas, which are cooked in a gas fired brick oven. The pizza is a thin crisp and delicious pizza. They have some tables but are clearly more set up for take out. The pizza was delicious and perfect for a lunch for two. We will be back to try their others offerings.

I give it a 4 for the food and a 3 for the price. The Margherita pizza was delicious but so small for the price, I felt like i get a bigger pie for about the same price as Bertucci’s. The sauce to cheese ratio was perfect and the seasoning was right on. The wings were good and meaty and had just the right amount of kick. The speed of service was even spot on, they told me a half hour, i got there after 10 mins and they just pulled it right out of the oven. They have take out beer(6 packs) and have a few high tops to eat in. I guess I will continue to try other places in the area on my way home from work,

This is a new restaurant, so there is good and there is some bad here. Some of the bad can be attributed to being a start up, some not. First, this is not a restaurant per se. It is a pizza joint with a deli case of lunch meat and salads that you have to look at while dining on high uncomfortable bar style tables. There are only about twelve tables, and they are packed in tight so you will be part of your neigbors conversation whether you want to or not. We had a loud kid behind us, enough said there. In all, it’s not a very appealing atmosphere, its certainly not a relaxing one. It is more like a quick lunch place where you want to sit down and have a meal. When we went on a Wednesday night there were about nine tables in use. We were told to seat ourselves, and then we waited almost ten minutes before we even got menus. We were just on the verge of getting up and walking out when we finally got menus. We decided to stay conservative and order just wings, pizza and soda. The soda is all bottled, no fountain, so no refills. It took a long time to get the food. I think it is a family owner and operated business, and the waitress explained everything is made fresh, so it takes longer to make. Ok, but the pizza came almost ten minutes before the wings. I just don’t get that. So what was good? The pepporoni pizza was delicious. Thin crust, well done with just the right amount of cheese and sauce. Excellent. The wings were like wings I can get at a million other places. We were told the chicken was fresh, not frozen, but I didn’t see why that made a difference when you cover them with standard wings sauce, it makes them just like every body else’s frozen wings. Another big plus is they sell beer here. Overall, i think once they get through the start up problems, the service will improve, but the atmosphere is too cramped, too bright, too deli like, and too uncomfortable to make this a regular stop for us. I think I would rather order a pizza and pick it up and take it home. it’s good enough and different enough for this area to warrant that. I think take out, not dine in, will be their future.

I’ve only been here once, but I must say the pizza is some of the best in the area… it is most certainly not in the«standard Delco pizza» category. It’s a nice new place with fair prices and a polite staff, and I hope this place does well. On a side note, I couldn’t help but notice the person who gave this place a 1-star review. Looking at his profile, that seems to be all he gives, for everything. What a great personality trait!
