I had such an amazing experience at Bridal Sophisticate. My consultant’s name was Nancy and she knows her stuff! The first dress she pulled for me I said«Nope, no way, dont like it» My sister and Nancy both suggested I try it since I was going to be trying things on anyway. I told myself going in that I would keep an open mind, so I said yes I will try it on. Weeeell that was the dress I ended up picking, so when I say Nancy knows her stuff, SHEKNOWSHERSTUFF! I am so thrilled that I found a dress that is right for my shape, that I love and I am glad I was willing to keep an open mind. Nancy helped us stay within our budget too, and did not pull things that were above without asking first. THANKYOU, THANKYOU, THANKYOU!!!

I got my wedding dress at Bridal Sophisticate and I am so glad I did! Nancy was wonderful, friendly and patient as I tried on several dresses. I felt very comfortable with her and ended up leaving with the most beautiful dress I could find and in my price range. I would recommend bridal sophisticate to anyone looking for a wedding gown. Thank you Nancy!

I came here my first day looking for wedding dresses. My MOH, got her dress here so I knew they had great quality. I didn’t even bring a credit card because, I knew I wasn’t going to buy a dress that day. I’m very indecisive so I knew I would not get a dress. There was no way. Then I walked in, my friends were already there and the owner hugged me as I walked in and I got super excited! I was the only one there when I get there. My friends already picked out a few dresses for me. I looked at a few and found this one dress and decided to try that on. As the sales associate was tying up the dress I picked out, I started dancing and getting really excited. It actually looked good on me. I really thought I wouldn’t like wedding dresses on me so that was an awesome surprise. As I walked out, my mom started crying and all my friends gasped. It was the most beautiful dress. The owner, and I had some awesome moments together. I did try on a few others but, the first dress was gorgeous! I ended up getting my first dress I ever tired on, a vail, and a beautiful hair clip. The only problem I had was with the hair clip. I called months after ordering my hair clip to make sure that it was at the store. Well somehow they didn’t have it and it would take 6 weeks for it to arrive. I was okay with that since my wedding was over a year away anyway. They also DON’T have a alteration person there. They give you contacts of people they recommend but, it kinda ruins the feel a little. However, on the other side, I saved a lot of money by not having an alteration person there. So you can look at it this way too. The whole experience here was amazing. Susan is amazing as well. They were generally really happy for me and I loved seeing them whenever I stopped by. Thank you ladies for being a family environment for me! It was literally the best experience of a lifetime!

Monarieh is the absolute best! I have always dreamed of going to a small boutique to order an exclusive and unique dress. This was the first shop I went to and the sample size fit me perfectly, which enabled me to order that dress without waiting for it to be made(not to mention receive an extra discount on the dress)! I took time to make my decision even though I really loved the dress and Monarieh was so very helpful in the process even with all the different options I requested. I valued her opinion and I felt she gave great suggestions. While the dresses there are not the cheapest you can find, this definitely is a place to receive individual attention, find unique and well made dresses and walk away feeling excited about the wedding experience.

I called Bridal Sophisticate asking if they could accommodate me for a same-day appointment. I left a message when they were closed at first but got impatient and called again a few hours later once they had opened and spoke with someone right away. They gave me an appointment for that night after work. When I arrived, I found the store charming. I was the only customer there. The consultant, Jackie, gave me all of her attention. When another bride walked in without an appointment, the consultant asked who I would call the receptionist(but seemed to be a consultant-in-training) to assist them. The fitting rooms are incredibly small — think fitting rooms at the mall — but because we were alone I didn’t mind getting changed in the middle of the room, which made things a lot easier. Jackie did a pretty nice job of pulling dresses for me that fit the brief description of what I told her I was looking for, and they were reasonably priced. I really liked the second one I put on, and at the end of the appointment she asked if i wanted to try it on again so I could leave with that image, which I found so nice! Since my wedding is in July(when my appt was) and I was there around 5 pm(ceremony time), Jackie took me onto the covered porch to get an idea of how the dress would catch the sunlight. Talk about thoughtful! Overall I thought the selection was somewhat sparse for my lower-budget but the service was very impressive.

Bridal Sophisticate was the last place I went to try on dresses, and the experience was only ok. If you aren’t the first appointment, the dressing room was TINY. As in, the consultant couldn’t even fit in there with me to help me get into the dress, which meant the curtain was open as she helped me in and anyone walking by could see me in my underwear. Finally, the first people there finished up and we were able to move into the back room to continue trying on dresses, but it was only a little better. There was lots more room, but my guests were in the room with me as I got changed. I preferred having a minute to myself with the dresses before anyone else saw me in them, but I didn’t really have that option — when I was in the tiny dressing room, I couldn’t even see myself in the mirror, and when I was in the big dressing room, I had an audience. Also, the consultant seemed more concerned with what my guests(my mom and my future mother-in-law) thought than with what I thought. In a few instances, the sample dress was too small for me, and instead of putting it on me anyway and just leaving it unzipped(as every other store I went to did), she just held it up in front of me and asked my guests what they thought. 1. How am I supposed to decide if I like the dress if you don’t even put it on me, and 2. It’s MY opinion that matters, not my guests. On the plus side, there was a decent variety of dresses, and while I wasn’t super thrilled with my consultant, she was very nice and had good intentions. Just compared to all the other stores I went to where I had great experiences, this place was only so-so.

I would not recommend Bridal Sophisticate. I emailed them a head of time to make sure they had some dresses in my price range. I really didn’t want to spend more that 1,000 on a gown(NOT including alterations, veil, shoes. etc) They told me that would not be a problem, but when I got to the store it was a different story. When I told the woman my budget again, she started pulling gowns that were 1,300 or 1,500. I had to tell her again that I really didn’t want to go over 1,000. She then told me in that case I could only afford dresses off the rack. Which I had no problem with until I tried them on, they were ripped, stained with lipstick, and the beads on them were yellow, and falling off. They were really beat up. Also, I went shopping here in the beginning of January and my wedding is in August. So there was roughly about 8 months time until my wedding. When I walked into the store the older woman behind the desk asked me when my wedding was. When I told her she gave me the cockiest look and said«August THISYEAR?» That ruined the whole experience for me. She made me feel like I was sooo late in finding a gown which just made me want to cry right there on the spot. I later went to Frank Bernards in Willington, DE(where I got my gown, and I highly recommend!) and they said 8 months is plenty, and that the woman was probably just trying to freak me out to get the sale. I’m giving this place 2 starts because the woman that helped me try on the dresses was sweet and seemed to know just want I wanted in terms of style when I told her. It wasn’t her fault the dresses off the rack were in such bad shape. Also, they did have a lot of nice dresses if you want to spend the money. But over all experience was bad. They made me feel like I was some poor person, who should have gotten her dress months ago.

I have had an amazing experience picking out my wedding dress here. I picked a dress that Monireh chose for me and i fit me perfectly! She knows what looks good on a person, and is not afraid to give her opinion. The dress that I chose was plain but Monireh is going to «glam» it up a bit by adding her own personal touch. The workers there are helpful and aim to please. They go above and beyond the call of duty! I felt like I was a part of a family there. I have been to 2 other shops, and had a much worse experience. I would recommend Bridal Sophisticate to anyone. My mother even went back to purchase her mother of the bride dress!

awful… awful…and more awful. first of all, the place is hard to get a hold of. I had to leave a bunch of different messages just to get an appt. I finally confirmed an appt. for a Sunday at noon. I walk in to have the only girl that was working tell me that the other woman who was supposed to be working, hasn’t shown up yet. The sales woman told me she would be hopping back and forth with me and another bride that was already there… ok? So i picked out some gowns I wanted to try only to find that the sales woman was giving my picks to the other bride! grrr! The dressing rooms and so small… im petite and they were still a pain in the ass! Thankfully I had my cousin there with me to help me in and out of dresses. Finally when the other sales woman showed up, I still was brushed aside b/c another girl came in for her appt. I can’t say enough about how awful this place was. Worst. WORST!!! don’t waste your time!

When I found my wedding dress here, I was SO excited! Monireh(owner) was very nice and I was able to negotiate a reasonable price for my dress. My salesperson was Fran and she was also quite helpful, but then seemed kind of pushy when I was making my final decision. All this was OK, though, I was just so thrilled to have found THE dress. The problems came later. I had four fittings and, on my wedding day, my dress still did not fit properly. I kind of think they ordered my dress a size too big so that I required a lot of alterations(I hear this is not uncommon with wedding dress shops). I was told I’d only need two fittings, but I ended up having four because the straps kept falling down. I am quite tall(5’10′) and the seamstress Gemma was really, really short. So when I told her repeatedly that the top was still not fitting correctly, I think she really just couldn’t even see what I meant.(Sorry if that sounds terrible, but I can’t come up with any other explanation.) I also didn’t love the cups they sewed in to the dress. Other than the difficulty with the fittings, they were nice and reliable, but on your wedding day you want everything to be perfect, and my dress certainly wasn’t.
