The Gypsy Blues

You could totally score coke, meth or heron there, & the crowds a mix of hipster, alternative, and druggies. The bar tenders are kind enough and sell a strong drink but not my cup of tea.

we really enjoy coming here during the week… drink some beers, play some pool, and eat some good food! I love the fries and nachos!

One of my favorite places, great selection of beers, and great bartenders, clean environment, and an all around wonderful experience every time I go.

This hidden gem is probably the coolest bar in Medford, maybe even Ashland too. The staff here are authentic, salt of the earth, friendly people with a punk leaning, which I’m down with 100%.
This edgy little penny-​topped bar has a deep rotating tap list, an extensive, decent food menu for a bar, and throbbing music playing anytime this joint is open. I like any bar with a pool table and this one is a classic «4 quarters per game» which is sweet news for this billiards-​loving gal.
I recommend this bar with hesitation only because I like that it’s not so crowded that the pool table is usually free so go check it out but not when I’m there. Ha ha ha! Just kidding. Go eat, drink, lose your hearing here and be merry!

Only gave a four star because I haven’t tried all their food yet. The BLT and turkey wrap were awesome. Slicer fries were wonderful. Taking half the wrap home because there was so much food. Huge selection of on tap beers. Three taps on nitro. Clay and Jen took great care of us. Highly recommended.

Favorite bar to hang out in so far in Medford. Pool table, juke box with some abnormal tracks, cheap drinks, dim lighting, and there is usually some cannabis related literature laying around somewhere.
This place isn’t trying to be anything but a comfy bar, and I’ll take that over all of the other businesses trying way too hard and making you pay for it.
They even have vegan food, which I haven’t tried yet, but they won me with that!

Nothing but good things to say! Everyone that works here is amazing, drinks are great, food is amazing and always a great place to hang out with friends and get a drink!

Love this place. Black cherry Jell-​O shots. Karaōke. Tons of beers in tap. What more can you ask for?

Tons of beer on tap and really great atmosphere. Not BS and reminds me of Charlie’s in Missoula.

The Gypsy has been a long time favorite of mine. The staff here really are great and work their asses off to get the job done. There is a healthy selection of tap brews (30?) as well as bottles (to go even!) to choose from which are generally as cheap or cheaper than going to the market. The food is really well done with large portions and they have some healthy options and vegan items. Pool table, lottery and a rotating selection of pinball games. In the middle of one booth is even an old school pacman game that is a table. Jukebox, karaōke and live music which are all great.
This bar caters to more of the alt crowd and during the day is a great place to meet up with friends or just relax with the tenders and friends. People feel right at home here and is a regular social space for many.

First time visit and the all the reviews ate true. Great beet selection and the lasagna bite are awesome. They made me feel like a local. Two huge thumbs up.

Most beers on tap in Southern Oregon, several on nitro. Friendly owners, bartenders and regulars. Excellent bar food that’s reasonably priced!

The hardest thing about moving to a new town is finding a new bar. Seriously – bars are so difficult to get right and as anti-​bar as I am these days (since the non-​smoking thing happened), It’s been a long time since I’ve been happy with one. Especially here in Medford.
I’m happy to announce that The Gypsy Blues has made it’s way into my heart. Thanks to fellows Unilocalers the old man and I stopped in last night because of the supposed beer selection.
Robin was bartending and she was very cool. She suggested the best beer for me (Longboard Lager) and guided us on the best appetizers, along with the best dipping sauces. I have to say that the lasagna bites ARE out of this world. The corn nibblets and fried green beans were great too-​although not homemade. We also tried the fried mac and chili dog, which my hubby gobbled up in no time.
The vibe is laid back and Robin was even sure to let me know her name as we were departing. The next time we get a chance, we’ll be back!!!

Home made lagasina bites are amazing. Def a must get. Employees and owners are amazing! Great selection of beer if u like beer this is the place to be. Make sure to try their beer the gypsy!

Update: the stripper sandwich is amazing great bread great ranch dressing all around great sandwich. The hotdogs are also amazing!

The only bar we frequent, the gypsy blue is quaint with a slightly sexy ambiance and good beers on tap. We moved here from Portland, so finding a bar that wasn’t full of video poker (granted, gypsy blue DOES have video poker, it isn’t overwhelming) and old alcoholics crowding the bar, was a challenge. The scene is mid 20s-​30s and laid back. We come here for karaōke nights, appetizers and beers or just to play pinball on a boring Tuesday night.
For sure my favorite bar in Medford.

Comfortable, casual, good crowd, friendly service, clean atmosphere…
This place feels more like a coffee shop than a bar to me but of course, with booze! :)
