Do not b.s. someone who knows anything about technology. If you are an employee you should NOT lie to your customers. Basically my mother needed to replace her Verizon phone. I looked up replacement options and it clearly stated that you cannot use the prepaid phones to replace a phone on a plan unless it is used on the prepaid plan for 6 months. I mentioned that when explaining why I was there and what I needed. Employee said that the prepaid phones can be activated on lines right away and handed a training employee the stores landline phone to activate with Verizon. Training employee handed me the phone after Verizon hung up on her. After being given the run around the Verizon employee said that infact you needed to wait 6 months to use a prepaid phone on a family plan. Had to wait another 10 minutes to return the phone. Just very frustrating to spend an hour in the store over a 20 dollar phone. Thank goodness we stayed to call Verizon so it wouldn’t of been a haul back to return. No apologies were given and I’m definitely not returning to the store that would push to sell a 20 dollar flip phone that wouldn’t of worked. Ugh. Sad to know that even of you are a customer doing your research before buying that you’ll get treated badly. UPDATE: So today it is now two days later and the money still has not been returned on the debit card even though the return should have been done with cash. Called to speak to MOD and apparently the higher ranked employee was infact the«assistant manager». Told me to go to back to the store so he could call corporate… When this whole mess was caused by him not listening and knowing Verizons policies. This is a complete nightmare. UPDATE2: Five full business days have passed and have yet to receive the refund. Customer Service Specialist quoted 2 – 3 days and another quoted 7 – 10 days…
