Went to Modells new location on Boylston and after looking at the reviews on this location they seem to be all the same. Walked in on Sunday with a manager and about 5 staff members standing in the front of the store and behind the register having a conversation and just hanging around. Not ONE person said hi or moved to asked if we needed help. Went back to the shoe area and 5 minutes later someone in the back of the store asked if we needed help. We decided it was just time to leave. Again, walked out and not one response from the staff. Probably won’t last long on Boylston St.

Located in the Medford stripmall, Modell’s offers a limited selection for sportswear. There aren’t many steals and deals at at Modells. Most things are still at retail price. I just know that there has to be other places where you can find a better price on just regular sportswear. Sorry, I don’t need a $ 40 sports bra.

Went in there looking for something specific for a kid. Knee hockey hockey sticks. Found a very helpful staff member to bring me all the way across the store to show me where they were. Good customer service. This is my Go To sporting goods store because A. it’s close to my house and B. they tend to have what I need. The last 4 sports shirts I’ve bought was from Modells. I have that discount program keychain thingy that eventually adds up to a gift certificate. And if I can’t find sneakers then I go next door to Off Broadway Shoes. My next review: p

Was praying I would find some flip flops on clearance so I ran into Modells today only to scoop up some fantastic deals on some great quality winter gear~! I walked out of Modells with 12 articles of fantastic quality turtlenecks, sweats, running gear and only paid $ 90.00. To add to my superb experience the cashier was extremely helpful and willing to check stock for an item I was looking for earlier.
Super Store with a local feel! Great Job! I will be back!

Agreed on the grumpy staff, but wow, a lot cheaper than Sports Authority or City Sports. I got a Nike bathing suit here for $ 25 and then saw the same suit at Sports Authority for $ 70. Craziness. Well stocked and reasonably priced.

Modells is great whether you’re looking for some new fitness equipment or the latest Red Sox fan gear. They have very reasonable prices and a fantastic selection. I buy everything Red Sox related from them. Minus one star because the staff always seems grumpy.
