After driving by this place for years, we finally dared to try it out. This Chinese spot is nestled way back from the street, dominated by a massive empty parking lot in front. It was just as deserted inside as out which at first incited minor internal panic that we’d made a big mistake. Still, we were determined to plow on ahead. We were seated immediately in a large dining room with high beamed ceilings. It was very drafty and cold inside so I wore my coat the entire time. Service was quick and excellent. We were the only ones there at noon on a Thursday. The menu, in my opinion, was extremely limited. This place does not offer a lot of variety– it’s heavy on chow mein-style dishes and not much else. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken combo meal with egg roll and fried rice. I ordered it as spicy as they can make it; given this is a Chinese place, it arrived with zero spice. Can’t blame a girl for always trying to make my Chinese food turn into Thai food. I also can’t fault the place for it since it’s not their cuisine style to make stuff spicy. That being said, the chicken was sorely overcooked– tough little meat pellets. After a few bites, I moved all of the chicken to the side and didn’t touch it again. The fried rice was very nice and the egg roll decent. I think this place is worth trying in this valley as we sorely lack decent Chinese food so it’s not like there is much better out there. This place ain’t great by any means, but it isn’t certainly terrible either. The interior is surprisingly attractive, and there is this awesome bar on the other side with pool tables that screams out to us that we need to return to play pool all night without anyone else hovering over us to hurry up– a big benefit to an empty place. This appears to be a family place and they seem to be kind, hardworking folks who take pride in their enormous, kinda-surreal place.

We had an early dinner here… new to Medford and on a quest to find good Chinese food. We were the only ones for dinner it appeared, so not busy. The restaurant was clean. We were greeted and seated in a timely manner, the waitress was prompt and friendly with menus, drinks and to take our order. We ordered pot stickers, chicken fried rice, broccoli beef and sweet and sour chicken. The potstickers were tasty. All the food was fresh. The chicken fried rice wasn’t as flavorful as we’re used to, it was simply fried rice and chicken, no egg, carrots, green onion or peas. The broccoli and beef as well as the sweet n sour chicken also wasn’t as flavorful. Everything was ok/good but just seemed to be missing something. Since I’m pretty clueless as to how to cook Chinese, I couldn’t tell you what was missing. I’m giving this restaurant a 4 because it was clean and service was great. Prices were also reasonable. Unfortunately, we thought the food was just Ok. We would however return to give it another shot and try other menu items.

Stopped in for a quick lunch, and was greeted by a very gracious waitress. Dining room was uncrowded, plain but appeared clean. Had most EXCELLENT potstickers, and chicken noodle soup. Lots of tender, boneless chicken. Broth could have been more flavorful, but I supposed I could have asked for sricha and oyster sauce like for a phở. Will definitely return!

I thought of giving this review 4 stars irrespective of geographical location. I’m giving it 5 stars localized within Jackson county. I moved here from out of state, where good Chinese restaurants were plentiful, and found to my consternation that most Chinese places here serve«Chinese and American food». Any restaurant so billed serves Chinese food that, at best is bland and flavorless, and at worst is almost inedible. I have tried 5 or 6(reviews forthcoming), one of which I would consider returning to if nothing better was to be found. Then I tried King Bo based on reviewers who said it was authentic Chinese, but they preferred Americanized Chinese. I figured that there was a good chance that if they didn’t like it, I would. Such is the case. I had despaired of finding good pot stickers locally. King Bo does a good job with them. The filling is flavorful, the wrappers are semi-chewy and not too thick. This is always a good sign. I liked them enough to get a double order on the return visit. Hunan Chicken is very good, so is the Mongolian Beef. BBQ Pork Chow Mein is good also. I very much liked the BBQ Pork Fried Rice. I am looking forward to trying other dishes. The price is reasonable, the portion sizes are very good, and the staff is friendly. I have done take out only. I’m thrilled to find a Chinese restaurant that I want to patronize on a frequent basis. Anyone who has a low opinion of most Chinese places in this county who has not tried King Bo, give it a shot.

Best chow mien from an actual Chinese restaurant! Service was great & the owner was super nice! & I love the fact that it’s a family owned business! I’m very glad that I didn’t let other reviews or ratings change my mind about going there. Very pleased & I will be back!

My daughter and I frequent this place as often as we can. The food is great, fresh, huge portions(her & I share & still have leftovers) and the prices are very reasonable. The place is always clean, her & her family are always pleasant & friendly. It is usually empty in there but I think it’s because they’re tucked away off of the road so it’s hard to see, which is a shame. I just happened to see the sign one day & we decided to stop. I’m glad we did. I’d eat here over Silver Dragon, China Hut or any of the other places here in town. I hope they’re able to get more exposure somehow, it’s a great place that can accommodate anyone from a small group to a large party. I’d hate to see this place go under.

Lady was a bit rude over the phone. Rushed & seemed like she wanted to get off the phone. I asked for a pick up order: Mongolian beef, really spicy & it was simply $ 8.75 okay bye! Didnt ask for name or phone number or tell how long the wait was. When I picked up the food, the parking lot seemed rather really big & empty. The restaurant was really big & empty as well. I had a little trouble opening the giant doors & finding the front desk to pay & pick up. But the lady seemed nice in person. The food however, looked pale. It had little flavor, it had no spice at all like how it said it was spicy on the menu(ESP when I asked for it to be really spicy). It was rather bland & didn’t taste like Mongolian beef at all. Price was however cheap, came with a side of rice, but I would never order that dish again or go back… Sorry.

The service was great and very friendly, but this is not my kind of Chinese food. It is fairly authentic, which you’d think is a good thing… but I like more Americanized Chinese food. I ordered Kung Pao chicken and there were only a couple pieces of meat and the rest was veggies, but mostly cabbage. I do not like cabbage THAT much, so it was kind of gross. There’s also a lounge attached to the restaurant, which seemed a little sketchy, but I can’t really comment on that because I didn’t go inside.
