Kids Kool Cuts

We got my son’s hair cut (sadly) for probably the last time as they are closing at the end of January. The gal cutting my son’s hair (really nice, have had her before and she does a great job and is really good with my 2.5 yr old) said the whole Meadow Glenn mall is closing with the exception of Marshalls and Kohls. A Wegmans is going in there. She said their biz is relocating, but not sure where yet. Bummer, this was a really great place. :)

My Husband and I took our 16-​month old to this location for his first haircut. The stylist, Omayra, was so great! She gave us a little bag with a few locks of my son’s hair as a keepsake, worked quickly while he was occupied watching Mickey Mouse Club House, and was super patient when our little guy got squirmy and fussy at the end. We decided to end the haircut a little early because our son didn’t like the clippers, but he still wound up with really cute cut! We’ll definitely go back.

My son dislikes having his haircut and the hairdresser was so calm and patient with him… She understood he has special needs she made us and him feel at ease… I would recommend this place to everyone!!!

I brought my one-​year-​old here this morning for his first haircut. It was super clean and organized and the woman who helped us was lovely! She was very patient with my toddler and made the experience very enjoyable. Will definitely be coming back here in the future!

I really wanted to like this place as I’ve been searching for a child-​friendly place for my boys. It is very cute inside and the stylist was able to accommodate us right away. Unfortunately she was terrible. Granted my toddler was uncooperative but she was soooooo slow! It was painful for everyone. She started randomly cutting his hair with scissors then asked if I minded if she could use the electric razor. I said fine and she zipped it up the back of his head taking a huge chunk of hair off. Then she took 2 phone calls while cutting his hair! It was so awful. I finally had to put an end to it and we walked out of there with the worst hair cut. Seriously, it was so bad it was cute! It took weeks and a trip to a different stylist to fix. Buyer be ware!

We’ve been to a bunch of kids’ haircut places, but will return here for sure for both of my girls.
Jolene cut my 4 and later my 3 yo’s hair this evening, and was awesome. She was great with my daughters, she kept her smiling and happy, and entertained also with a big screen tv connected to NetFlix shows. Great shampoo, cut, and blow dry. I have never seen their hair straight before!
The facility is CLEAN, large, full of fun things to do if you had to wait (which we didn’t). I also saw the party room, and it was very cool, any child’s dream. I appreciated the natural nail polish for sale (no dangerous chemicals, and even a glow in the dark one!) and a huge assortment of toys for sale including many for $ 4.95.
I feel like the price is definitely on-​par for children’s haircuts, and I love that we were seen immediately. I encourage you to go there! Also I am VERY impressed with the cost of manicure/​pedicure being under $ 10 for each. I will return to give them a very special treat, no question about it.
*Parking tip: By the way, this is on the left side of the mall, so don’t park by Kohl’s. I’d suggest parking to the left by Marshall’s or Old Country Buffet for the shortest walk.
*Seasonal Tip: It’s November, but I’ll mention here too: Santa is there in the mall, towards the center! He’s wonderful. Very kind & soft spoken, looks handsome as he ever has, and was happy to listen to my lo on his knee and chat for a bit, before giving her some nice small free gifts. Photos are a nice option, but not necessary, and I did not feel pressured to purchase a photo when he spoke to my l.o.
Only way to improve: a super cheap free toy for a good job. Even a 10 cent barrette goes a long way, especially for a child used to a salon that gives a tiny treasure.
Thanks again to KKC and Jolene for a great haircut. :) My other daughter was irate that I didn’t awaken her from her nap to join us, so I wound up going twice that night.
