The circumstances(cancer) leading me to Hematology Oncology Associates are unfortunate, however I feel so lucky and grateful that we have the quality of care and excellent service in our community. From the reception desk, to the phlebotomists(who after 6 blood draws so far have yet to hurt me!), to infusion staff, to the oncologists(mine is Dr. Sander, who is phenomenal), you can feel the genuine concern and compassion from all working there. Thank you for making this as positive an experience as possible. We’re very fortunate to have this level of healthcare in our region.

This review is especially for Dr. David E. Greene at the Hematology/Oncology office in Medford, Oregon. The thought of bone marrow testing was as scary to me as giving birth, but my Dr. suggested it was best and so I went forth scared to death. Out of all the doctors I have seen over the years Dr. David E. Greene renewed my faith in the fact that there is one doctor left who does not count you as a number, as a proceedure, as the almighty buck. Dr. David Greene, actually talked with me before the proceedure as if I were a family member of his, soothed me, comforted me and even held my hand. Dr. Greene talked to me during the proceedure and afterwards. Unheard of these days. His demeaner, his kindness, his genuine warmth and care is something that I shall never ever forget. The proceedure wasn’t all that bad, I know, in great part due to Dr. Greene’s love for his patients and the sincere care for what he does in the medical field. He truly cares. Blessed are those that experience this man during tough times in their lives. Thank you so much Dr. Greene. You are a beautiful being. Sincerely, Cristine Ramirez Cox

I’ve visited HOA at least three dozen times at their Medford, OR location and at least a dozen times at their Grants Pass, OR location over the past three months since my friend completed their course of chemotherapy and radiation(treatment). That is when their problems and discomfort really began. After interacting with the staff and physicians at this organization I am much more confident that there is good health care to be found in Southern Oregon. I and my friend have learned more about cancer, its’ treatment and what to expect from said treatment from the nurses here than from any other person or resource available. They treat their patients with a kindness, compassion and consideration that I have never, ever seen before. Truly amazing people treating even more amazing people. The doctors are thorough and professional. They take time to make sure all their patient’s questions are answered(you just have to know what to ask!) Brought to the Asante Health System by OHSU in 1999, it is a regional resource for basic and clinical cancer research into new methods of diagnosis and treatment. It is also the state’s only cancer center designated by National Cancer Institute of the NHI. Humble: The feeling one experiences upon entering Hematology Oncology Associates PC in Medford, OR. Humility: Something one learns when acting as an advocate for a cancer patient. Dignity: Something one sees in the clients at HOA. Strength: See Dignity above. FIVESTARS: All of the Above!
