We love this place. Our waiter is always super nice. The food is good. The kids love everything. The ambiance is … Ok a bit cheesy, but in a fun way not tacky. My wine is yums. But it’s the whole experience that I like. Cumulative magic.

What a nice find. We had a lovely evening, good pasta dishes, generous portions and no corkage fee. Great place for a good dinner.

This seemingly undiscovered spot serves pretty good Italian fare at reasonable prices. Service is excellent and attentive. My Calzone was good(I asked them to go light on the cheese, which they did) and my wife was very happy with her Chicken Piccata. We went with friends who all enjoyed the meal — we sat around the table talking for a long time after our meal was over. Recommended.

This is a lovely little Italian restaurant. As an east-coast Italian I have had a lot of tomato sauces and their’s is one of the best I’ve had. I’ve had several meals there and I’ve enjoyed all of them. I like how on the entrees you will get deliciously prepared fresh vegetables with your meal. The calzones, the chicken marsala, and the minestrone soup are some of my favorites. The service is wonderful.

I’ve been to Italy, this is not Italian. Sauce was watery and lacked taste. Noodles were not house made, definutely from a box. Sauce was also not uniform. The bread was good and the atmosphere was nice.

To start, the place wasn’t very busy, and parking is terribly inconvenient. A hostess/cashier, and presumably the waiter/server and cook were present. Walking in the door, there’s a very odd smell of bleach, mixed with perhaps mildew/mold, and partially rotted food. That didn’t start things out too well. Once you vacate the entry way, the smell is gone. Immediately greeted, seated, and handed menus. Water took some time to arrive, but only after we were asked if we’d like an alternative beverage first. We had barely sat down to even look at a drink menu, let alone glance at one. The menu is simple(in fact, too simple because it didn’t explain if anything came with entrée’ order until you read the fine print). I’ll come back to «simple» later. We each ordered a glass of their house Chardonnay, which was very good. My Dad ordered a standard meal and a salad with blue cheese dressing. I ordered the«Scarface Pasta,» which consists of grilled chicken breast, mushrooms, and herbs in an Alfredo sauce over Rigatoni and a side bowl of Minestrone soup as a starter. They serve bread and butter with your meal, which was extremely bland. Bread usually will have some kind of flavor, even white, which this was. The butter(served in foil-peel mini-serve plastic dealie-bobs) barely gave it any flavor. While my Dad enjoyed his salad very much(Romaine, neatly chopped in squares, served with his dressing, and three slices each of salame’ and a mild white cheese). However, my Minestrone(a traditional recipe, although lacking beans, a meat stock/broth) was in effect, vegan. Aside from possibly a chili-type spice in the vegetable stock, it was extremely bland. It would definitely have benefited from additional seasonings, salt, or beans and meat. Entrée’s arrive, somewhat timely. My Dad and I both were elated with the entrée’s. They were very flavorful, meats/pasta cooked perfectly. His marinara sauce and my alfredo sauce were outstanding! Unfortunately, we only saw our server one time after dropping our entrée’s. I could’ve used one more glass of wine and his attentiveness was focused on what appeared to be personal friends of his, celebrating their 10-year anniversary of marriage. Although I was somewhat anxious to leave, I decided to exercise patience and order dessert. My Dad ordered Spumoni Ice Cream while I requested the chocolate cake. Having had years of career-related experience in the food service industry, I’m able to spot a «Cash & Carry»(formerly United Grocers) dessert a mile away. I ate it, as they are, in fact, quite good. However, I was expecting something home-made, perhaps… maybe even remotely«special.» At any rate, I come back to «simple» as I summarize my review. I think the owners/staff are trying to hard to be simple. Simple is good, in preparation/technique of cooking. When you’re remaining«simple» in your mindset, apparently for them it’s across the board. Although, the entrée’ I had was awesome, *everything* else about this place is too, too simple. Blandness, unattentiveness, fake smiles, too many«thank yous» and non-genuine, overdone politeness gets a person nowhere with me. Prices are somewhat reasonable, but there is far better value in every category at other places in the valley. I don’t like issuing reviews that are deemed as hurtful to a business, but I personally will not be returning. Dining out is a luxury for all of us, and this place has been open long enough, in my opinion, to get the job done right. Again, positive note *excellent entrée’s* here. But, everything else, simply put, is lack-lustre.

I usually avoid Italian in the Rogue Valley. But Fratellos is a solid choice. I had the«Scarface pasta» for lunch. The alfredo sauce was good. Pasta was cooked properly. Chicken and mushrooms were delicious. All in all a good lunch, for a decent price. I’ll be back.

Loved this little gem. Small lunch menu, but the Scarface pasta was amazing.

Good food. The wait staff was… mostly good. our waiter seemed a bit in his own world but luckily one of the ladies there was paying attention and saved us. She made sure we had waters, that the small little dinner roll plates the guy brought us to share our dishes were replaced with dinner plates. all in all I wouldn ‘t go back, but thats because of the price. The price does not match the quality of food. what we ordered was good, but not $ 165 worth for two people with one glass of wine each.

Went there for lunch and this is our new favorite Italian restaurant. The food was very good, service was excellent. The lunch menu is on the small side, but I looked at a dinner menu which has a lot more choices, and I am anxious to try them for dinner.

Ate there not long after they opened. I ordered Lasagna. Felt that someone in the kitchen got confuse and though tomato soup was tomato sauce. Didn’t feel that by any standards it was«good» Italian food. Won’t be going back

First visit for me and four others during lunch. Heard through the grape vine that this restaurant was very good and I’m here to say they were right. It’s a smaller building off the beaten path, but the staff were very polite, attentive and the food was fresh, lite and well prepared. I will be returning soon.

Wow! This is a gem of a restaurant. It is absolutely fantastic. A secret spot in Medford. Absolutely delicious authentic Italian fair served by excellent waiters. My friend had the cannelloni, my husband had the chicken over spaghetti special and I had the linguine with clams. All superb! And the prices were fantastic — $ 60 for all three of us with two wonderful glasses of Italian Chianti. Come and check this place out — you will not be disappointed!!!

I really wanted to like this place, based on what other reviews said. Came here on a weeknight at around 6:30 and was the only one in the place, and when I left I was still the only one in the place. All day I’d been wanting lasagne, ordered that, and was so disappointed. The food was all«okay.» The lasagne was«okay» and kind of underdone and spice-less and taste-less. The salad was«okay.» The bread was plain white bread and was«okay.» The iced tea was«okay.» The service was very attentive, since I was the only one there, but all in all? I was very disappointed. The place was very clean; the decorating and atmosphere were pleasant. The food was just kind of blah. With Italian food I was not expecting blah. I will not bother going back.

A Greatl Italian restaurant that won’t break the bank. My shrimp salad was great, good home made bread, my wife’s manacotti was almost as good as her home made, and the boy enjoyed the linguine with clams. The service was frendly & good and I’d go back.

Excellent! Had a great meal here. The three brothers who own Fratello’s are warm and very courteous. Great atmosphere for a neighborhood restaurant.

This restaurant was clean and the service was excellent. The food is another story. I felt it was very over priced. The red sauce tasted like it was store bought and almost sour. Nothing had flavor. The homemade bread was standard and comes on every bread based appetizer. We stopped here based on the 5 star rating and I don’t feel it held up the standards. I will not be returning.

Delicious! The staff greeted me at the door and was seated promptly. I had a bottle of the Pyrenees Pinot Noir. Very reasonably priced. Chicken parmigiana the potion was big the pasta was cooked perfect and the vega on the side were so good. The chef visited my table after to make sure everything was good. A pleasure to find this little place in Medford.
