Circle Laundry & Dry Cleaning

I called Circle laundry to schedule a pick up on a Friday, they said that it is done and good though they’ll get back to me about my credit info.
I call in again to doublecheck, they say it is on the books. Meanwhile 4 days later, it is still unpicked up, getting musty, and I am behind on laundry.
Very unimpressed that they say they can do it, don’t, and don’t even get back to me.

My boyfriend has been going to Cicle laundry for at least two years now to have his suits dry cleaned, and has never had a bad experience. Their prices are so reasonable, that alone keeps us going back. Not to mention the gentleman who I believe either owns or manages the place is so friendly and remembers me each time I walk in to pick up my boyfriend’s dry cleaning — all just after the first 3 times I went in on his behalf! Not too long ago I took one of his suit jackets in to see if he could steam out or iron down an area that seemed to look like it was warping from possibly over steaming or something odd… I was informed that it was a manufacturer’s default with the inner bonding of materials, and although they could attempt to fix it, it wouldn’t work and he didn’t want me wasting my money. He said he’s seen it with $ 600+ suite jackets down to $ 50 suit jackets, and that it’s not a matter of quality of fabric, but rather a default in the product, and recommended we contact the manufacturer and see if we can get a replacement. I really appreciated the honesty, his knowledge and experience, and the great customer service.
I myself went in recently to have a few things altered and was very pleased with the price (WAY cheaper than anywhere in Boston, Sommerville or Newton) and the results. She’s an elderly lady, but she get’s it when you say you want your dress to fit tight and for a top to be taken in so it flatters your figure (I am a late-20’s petite figured female). She also fixed a pair of shorts for me, a strap of one top that had come undone — all of these items for $ 44! I was stunned! I just took two pair of jeans in for her to hem and they were only $ 30 — she is wonderful.
Circle is wonderful. Some other people’s reviews state that they don’t like that they do a lot of commercial laundry services or that there are a lot of Italian’s in there on a daily basis. Well, guess what — (1) they do a lot of commercial business with restaurants, catering companies, wedding venues, etc. because they are good at what they do and in producing quality services, and (2) because of their high demand on the commercial side of the business it enables them to stay extremely competitive with lower dry cleaning prices than anyone else in the area (including Boston, Sommerville and Medgord), while providing a speedy turn-​around time and great quality work, and lastly (3) they are a family business that has been around for years — am Italian family who also does business with a few Italian resturants — and a large group of Italian friends who love to socialize at the café next door. They don’t cause any trouble — they’re just Italian and love to shoot the crap. :) No frets with that — just mind your own business and they leave you be!

Fine for laundry, but always a group of older Italian guys from the café next door coming in and out, and being very loud.

I have done laundry on and off here for years when I could drive there conveniently. The machines are good and reasonable. The counter staff is formally professional if you are not a regular.
Two caveats: (1) They do a lot of commercial wash-​fold laundry. So, daytimes during the week are uncomfortable and crowded. (2) No air conditioning. And the seating in front of the place is often occupied by the customers/​staff from the next-​door café, who are not particularly friendly if they don’t know you. Reminded me of the North End twenty years ago.

Went there for a year while living in Medford. Great service and no complaints with the dry cleaning — took my dress shirts, suits, and dress pants there. All came out fine and at a reasonable price.

I went to the dry cleaners for the first time ever when my beloved pale pink dress, which I’d previously thought was ruined forever due to a drunken lipgloss staining of the bodice during a wedding reception, was called again into service for a friend’s fancy cocktail-​themed birthday party. Circle Laundry is right down the street from my apartment, which makes it super convenient. I showed the person at the counter where the stains were, and he assured me that my dress would be ready in 2 days. Come Tuesday, I pick it up. Beautiful, my dress has been saved! The spots are gone and I’m only out $ 11. Economical, friendly, fast, and professional – what’s not to like?
