Last night and on a previous visit a earlier this year I noticed the quality of food and service at Bambu has slipped. The cashew vegetable chicken dish had so much sauce covering the bottom of the dish that when rice was added(It comes in a separate bowl.), it soaked up the sauce and fell apart, plus I don’t like sauce-soaked rice. The ½ inch cubes of chicken were VERY firm and the amount wast not generous as compared to the chicken and noodle dish that is covered by moist, tender slices of chicken. None of the staff offered refills of our drinks and we waited a long time for the check.

The food here is awesome! Always easy to set a reservation. Good atmosphere! Definitely the best Pan-Asian food in town!

I love going to Bambu to enjoy a night out or a more casual lunch. The food is on point and the«Specials» are fantastic. It is like the Chef is experimenting new ideas through the specials. I have the Siam beef as often as it is available! My mom always get the salmon in any preparation. Service is good and sitting on the patio is one of my favorites.

What a pleasant«find». On Medford for the weekend and drove into this little plaza, parked right in front and decided to try it. DH had the special, a wonderful light curry filled with different fish and shell fish. He loved it. I had a great Thai lime salad work grilled tofu and chutney. So yummy. Nice little dining patio added to the ambiance. Will be returning!

We stopped here in our way to California. Bathrooms were clean, service was great at first, very pleasant, but sort of lagged as the restaurant became busy. The food was good, but not great. Overall we enjoyed the ambiance and our meal though.

I really wanted to like this place but I ordered the pad Thai and it is not your average pad Thai, this was very sour and there were short rice noodles that did not go well with the ground chicken in the dish. I had the egg rolls and they were pretty soggy too…

Oh my goodness! I have to absolutely rave about this place! I have no complaints about this restaurant other then it’s spendy but so incredibly worth it! You walk in and instantly smell the delicious food, you’re greeted by someone who has great manners. The waitress we had was slammed and was still taking care of everyone with a smile on her face and was incredibly polite. Our food was done perfectly and oh so delicious, pretty good wine selection and they use the correct wine glasses for each type of wine. Which if you’re a wino like me, you appreciate that. We even stayed for dessert and it was nothing short of perfection. Definitely recommend trying this place out!

Food was awesome. Service sucked! Went there with our ailing mother. we ordered while the neighboring table was eating. We watched them finish then leave. Watched the next people at that table order and start eating before we even got our order. The waitress forgot to put our order in. That happens, but we got no acknowledgement or apologies. No complimentary drinks or dessert. Basically they told us «tough shit». We got«Babuzilled»

There are very few times that I would take the time to make a review of a restaurant, however when one has truly the worst experience ever one must speak out. Don’t ever visit Bamboo, We won’t be back! Reservations were made the night before our visit. Reservations for six people! Not a large group six, three couples. We arrived for our visit slightly before our reservation. The mostly confused staff told us our table would be ready in a bit. In the meanwhile they sat 4 – 5 other groups prior to seating us. 30 minutes later we were sat at out table. Another 40 minutes passed before our order was taken. When the food finally arrived it was bland, tasteless and over priced. To top the night off we were charged an automatic 18% gratuity to thank us for this amazingly awful experience. Please save yourself the displeasure.

Just recently found this place! I was amazed by their gluten-free options. The staff is so nice and every plate looks like a work of art. This is my new favorite spot! Everything was delicious. Love the curry and gluten-free Pad Thai. A must try!

Great atmosphere, great service, lousy food. We started with a coconut soup and a special duck egg roll. The soup was more like a dull coconut gravy it was so thick and flavorless. The duck appetizer was mostly fried wrapper and a sliver of tasteless filling. For the main course we had steamed shrimp on sautéed spinach. The spinach was fresh and good but the shrimp was overcooked and mealy. We also had the veggie phad Thai. There was a sprinkle of overcooked veggies and angel hair pasta was ok, but I prefer phad Thai with heartier noodles. Thai food should taste fresh and have layers of favors. Its a shame too waste such a pretty place with mediocre food.

Super disappointed! I had planned to get takeout but the phone experience was so poor I cancelled our order! First time I called, it rang and rang. Second time, a woman answered and then I was hung up on. Third time, a guy answered and took my order. I asked to sub rice noodles for wheat in a noodle dish and when he asked the chef the answer was no, which surprised me, but I went ahead and changed to a rice dish. Then he called back saying they were out of the fish I ordered and a different fish was replacing it. That was when I canceled the order. It’s a shame, because Asian food had sounded so good!

This place is amazing! I found it thanks to a friend that raved about it. I tried it on my last business trip to Medford so I knew where I was going for dinner this time around. The Cantonese salmon is simply amazing. I got it last time and could not risk trying anything else. Super flavorful and seems very healthy since it is served on a bed of steamed spinach and over some delicious broth. Lots of garlic too. I also tried the calamari and it was also, one of the best I’ve ever had. Big portion too, which was bad since I was alone. Service was excellent and the outdoor patio was lovely. Chris took excellent care of me. She was attentive and thoughtful. I will be back on my next trip south!

We were in town for a wedding and decided to look for Thai food in the area opened past 9pm. We love Thai food and have been to dozens of them in the OC/LA area. We decided to order for pick up and eat in our hotel 10 min away. Well, we made the mistake of not asking for the price over the phone nor look at the price online… Which we assume would just be around $ 10-$ 12 dishes like most of the Thai places we have been to. We just paid the bill without a thought because we were hungry and tired from a long 12hour drive… Which is our fault. The food was subpar… We ordered the pad Thai and red curry dishes. The pad Thai noodles were thin which intensified the flavor and made it highly salty, and the curry was okay. Im writing this review after looking closely at the price(again our fault) I’m fine with food that taste okay, nothing against it, but I’m not cool that the price set for it is more expensive than it should be for its taste. $ 16-$ 17 per dish is a bit toooo much! I’ve been to higher end Thai places in la/OC area that charge a few dollars less than that and they make very authentic delicious Thai food that teases your taste buds. If a restaurant is going to charge a high $$, they oughta make sure their food taste delicious and authentic, especially regarding the popular recognized Thai dishes like pad Thai or red curry. Lesson learned: ask for price and read reviews more thoroughly.

When the food is great it’s amazing! When the food sucks it’s very disappointing I think it’s for a lack of trying on the chefs part maybe they’re getting burnt out! I wish it was always good because I’d eat there a lot more!

My friend recommended this place and I finally went because my favorite restaurant was closed. I travel for business. The only reason I’m giving this restaurant two stars is because it has some charm in the décor. Otherwise I’m really not sure why there’s a line out the door for this place on a Monday night. First of all the service was awful I came in with no reservation but say at the bar, nobody could figure out who would serve me Ffinally, I had a waiter who came over and gave me a huge list of specials. This made me question the place right off the bat. I chose the arugula salad special with mango and the green beans with TOFu. I got the salad probably within 10 to 12 minutes which is fine. And then had to wait for my meal for 25 minutes and when it came it was not what I ordered it came with chicken. Let’s talk about the food briefly, The salad was doused in dressing and sliced mangoes the green beans were drowned in a curry sauce. It looked like somebody just boiled the beans and dumped them in a bowl of curry sauce that’s pre– prepared and then put some dry chicken breast pieces into it and then sprinkled the top with some crushed peanuts. Wow, chicken was under seasoned and in need of salt, but boy if I had to ask for salt, I may have been here until tomorrow, it took them 25 minutes to bring me the check after I asked for the first time was 15 and then 10 minutes when I asked for the second time. Sorry it’s just really disappointing when your expectations are really high and when the restaurant is this pretentious to be high-class. I won’t be coming back.

Decent but not authentic Thai food. Small portion. Good service. The mango cheese cake was superb, which changed my rating from 3 stars to 4.

First the good stuff: excellent service, pleasantly decorated and easy parking. Bad stuff: very expensive for just okay food. The spring rolls get 3 stars, pad thai was weird tasting, with unusual pad thai noodles with an odd flavor: 2 stars and the country red curry with prawns 3 stars, but not worth $ 17.50. The prawns were not super fresh tasting and were meh. I would rather have authentic low brow thai food any day of the week over«Asian fusion» over priced odd tasting under spiced food.
