I was looking for a tasty steak sub. I found the Spot! I walked in a knew it was a friendly laid back spot. I ordered my sub and sat don as I waited. The wait was not long, maybe 10 minutes top as they quickly cooked up the shaved steak. I paid once I got done eating and was pleased with my sub. I will definitely be coming back to try the other variety show of steak subs. Enjoy!

They catered my son’s graduation party and all people could do at the party was rave about the food. It was all top notch and fresh. I was very impressed. Delicious!!!

A great little spot in Mechanicville for an Italian sub abd a very tasty Panini. I forget what it was called but had procutto, mozzarella, roasted red pepper on flavored ciabiatta bread(your choice and I picked the garlic and onion). Friendly service as well just as you would expect from a family owned Italian deli. I just wish I bought one of those yummy looking macaroons.

I returned to my hometown recently and years ago this was about the best in town. I don’t know if they changed ownership but they just have become overpriced, under quality and I was very disappointed in the entire general appearance of the place.

I had the Penne Bolognese tonight. I must say it was fantastic. I have yet to have a bad meal from here. Always quality food. Also Love the vodka sauce and buffalo Mac and cheese.

I must be in the minority here as I read these reviews which puzzles me a bit. Sub’s are good but I believe somewhat overpriced for this area. Take out dinners I found to be average at best but in line with most other places prices. Overall cleanliness of the place could use a good clean up especially the deli and kitchen area which is wide open to see from the deli counter. I found customer service to be poor. My family and I have changed where we buy our lunch or take out to elsewhere locally. I guess perhaps if I pay those prices I hold a place to a higher standard.

This appears to be the place to go in Mechanicville for lunch, dinner(especially take-out), and I understand they do a good breakfast buffet. My experience was actually a sit-down dinner in the back room, organized by a local friend. She claims to have never had a bad meal here. We were a fairly large party and the only ones in the dining room for quite a while, but I think that’s because a lot of the activity is in the front either from take-out or the smaller set of tables. What really impressed me was the service. I don’t think any of us ordered the same thing, a variety of dinners, sandwiches, salads, and sides. The meals all came out reasonably quickly and all at about the same time. The staff was also very willing to accommodate requests for separate checks, gift cards, and reward points for the organizer. We were checked on constantly. My own dinner, one of the specialty sandwiches, came with a garnish of a single olive and a ramekin of what I assume was a pasta salad — refrigerated spaghetti in a light white sauce with a small amount of chopped tomato. Those didn’t really stand out, but the sandwich was an innovative combination of grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, pesto, and sprouts. Several people ordered sides of fries, and they had both regular and steak-cut. The group preference was the regular-cuts. One humorous point to the dinner — they had a different set of music playing on the speakers in the dining room than in the front room at the deli. We could hear both, and they kinda cancelled each other out. I’m always intrigued by a good breakfast buffet. I’m not in the area too often, but I may have to time a visit to try it.

Way too good to bring just one stomach although I haven’t quite figured out how to stuff my pockets without making a mess!

TRYTHEBREAKFASTBUFFET! We had the breakfast buffet today. Delicious coffee, lox and bagels, eggs, fresh fruit, coffee cakes, burritos, bacon, on and on. They put out a lovely assortment of fresh foods and have an omelet station. Go with an appetite!

If you get the chance this is a place you have to eat at. The staff are all very kind and friendly. The New York-ified Philly Cheese Steaks are great. The salads are good, and there are lots of options. Hands down, my favorite thing on the menu is their thin cut fries with cheese and bacon. So amazing! If you have anything there this is what you should have. Unless you’re not into carbs, then maybe the grilled chicken salad. Another big plus is that they have gluten free rolls and buns for all your sandwiches. Just make sure to ask.

While passing through Mechanicville one Sunday, I decided that I wanted to pick up a deli sandwich for dinner, so I decided to drop into Faldoni’s. After scanning their menu items, I decided to order a roast beef wrap, with my choice of toppings and even my choice of wrap. It was fresh, tasty and huge! They also had a small pastry cooler with cannolis, so I decided to order two mini cannolis as well, which were also delicious. I had also spotted a cooler with various deli salads and whatnot, but decided to hold off on that for another day.

Not always easy to find a parking spot really close but well worth driving around the block a couple … or many more … times. I’ve never been disappointed, not even a little. Everything … from the deli or the kitchen … is always fresh & delicious. The boneless wings and their version of Philly cheese steak(sub) are my personal favorites. Phillies are always a little different wherever you go. Their’s rocks! We always call in for to-go orders but I often have second thoughts as I pass the«specials board» on the way in. There’s always something on it that I’d like to try. One of these days I’ll remember to check the website first. We(2) usually spend $ 18 — $ 25 each time and we consider it a real bargain. So, I guess that’s between the high end of $ and the low end of $$ per person, depending on your menu choices.

I come here quite often because faldoni’s is the only place in Mechanicville that carries boar’s head deli meat. They also do their own turkey and roast beef here. I have tried their house turkey it is good but I still prefer the boars head oven gold turkey. The philly subs here are excellent, I have had both the steak and chicken. All their soups are homemade and really good. I pretty much have sampled all their dinner too. One of my favs is their alfredo I have them add chicken and extra garlic, really good stuff. My wife loves their chicken parm so that’s pretty much all she orders when we order here and she is never once has been lent down. I love all their cookies and desserts, and they make everyone one of them in house. They are currently doing a brunch buffet on Sunday’s now, something new so I am definitely going to have to check that out soon. Another new thing they are doing is Monday night pasta night, all you can eat! Have to hit that up too. You have to grab some of their Italian sausage, hot or sweet, both are TOP notch if you plan on making homemade sauce. It is the only sausage I cook with. If you are looking for a cater I would recommend these guys. So if you are in the area and looking for a Italian deli stop by and check it out, believe me you will not be disappointed.

I don’t get the chance to go here as much as I’d like but when I do it’s always a reliable, good experience. The sandwiches are consistently excellent, and generally on the hefty side. While there are some places to sit inside, there’s not a lot of seating so if it’s busy, expect to take your food to go. Also of note is that Faldoni’s does catering, and it’s phenomenal. They aren’t the cheapest option around, but I’d rather pay more for higher quality. That is exactly the quality that you’re going to get from this deli.

I love Faldoni’s! It’s the only deli I will go to. Since moving to Upstate NY I’ve been on the search for a decent Italian sub. This area is so big into the franchise crap, like Subway. After finding Faldoni’s, I won’t go anywhere else. I’ve tried many of the subs and paninis and deli salads, too. I’ve never tried their entrees, but I’m sure they are delicious. They sure look it when I see them come out of the kitchen. They recently expanded their weekend hours which is a plus. Sometimes, you just want something fresh and quick and it’s a gigantic step up from fast food.

I really enjoy having great deli sandwiches even if I have to pay a little more. Faldoni’s Delicatessen is the real deal! They make a good variety of signature sandwiches and subs using Boar’s Head meats cut to order. They also make South Phiily Cheese Steaks(beef & chicken), paninis, cold salads, breakfast items, salads, deli salads, soups, pasta and dinner entrees(individual & family sizes). There’s also a freezer section with take home dinners. The prices here are slightly higher than the typical sandwich/sub shops in the area, but it’s about the quality. See the menu and latest specials at I grabbed some lunch at Faldoni’s Delicatessan very recently. The place has the atmosphere of a Italian deli which is order at the counter with seating inside and outside(seasonal). The food is made to order. I got a previous Sandwich Special($ 6.95) which was home roasted turkey with lettuce, tomato, sprouts, Swiss cheese, & Russian dressing on a fresh baked multi grain ciabatta roll with a small bag of Herrs Potato Chips. The sandwich was awesome and very tasty. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft and chewy inside. I’ll definitely have to get a Phiily Cheese Steak next time!
