Yeah, I’m in love. As in, filled-up-my-husband’s-truck-bed in love! And their prices were quite reasonable as well, I thought. Great unique items, upcycles, shabby chic, etc. This woman has some serious creativity, and it shows. And I LOVE her staging. Along with the rest of the vendors in the antique mall, it’s the perfect place to while away a Sunday afternoon.

Love this place! A friend recommended this place and although it is a little distance from my house, it was well worth it! Pam, the owner, was very friendly and easy to talk to. In fact, everyone I encountered were friendly! I bought a great light fixture for a very reasonable price and painted it and put in my kitchen! Looks great! Also, bought a glass top table made from a wash basin that is so cute! The place is pretty big with many vendors and a variety of stuff. Everything from shabby chic to DIY! Can’t wait to go back, but will definitely bring my SUV!

I LOVETHISPLACE. I’ve found many items here for our new house like my daughter’s shabby chic bedroom set. Make sure you attend on of their holiday open houses. Amazing! They really know how to decorate and I love all the handmade details. The owner and staff are knowledgeable and oh so friendly. And… The prices are just right.

This is a very cute, shabby chic shop. It’s the perfect place to pick up white distressed furniture. They decorate the whole shop for every holiday, and have open houses. Make sure you stop into the shop when it’s decorated for Christmas — it’s stunning. The shop stocks items for several vendors, and some of them will have sales or specials occasionally. This place isn’t super-cheap, but I definitely think you can find a good steal in here. I bought a wonderful white dresser/buffet that’s awesome quality. I definitely recommend checking this place out.

If you like shabby chic(emphasis on shabby), painted furniture, and yard-sale cast offs, this is the place for you. This place used to be great and I could always find a few things. However, it’s now 50% painted furniture and the upstairs is best described as dismal. I generally try to be charitable with my comments but this shop has truly lost it’s way and will not survive long unless they focus on quality again.

I stumbled upon this antique shop after a visit to Class and Trash didn’t yield any purchases. I was still feeling the antique/DIY bug, so I turned to my trusty iPhone to tell me what else was in the area. Sure, it was 8 miles away but I was already north of the city, so I figured why not check this place out. What I found was a massive oasis of refinished furniture that made my DIY side turn green with envy. Like many antique malls, this place is filled with multiple vendors(I want to say around 60) who rent space and sell their items. From furniture to blanket racks to trinkets and everything in between, this place is big enough to make your head spin. But in a good way, of course. I didn’t even know where to begin when I entered, since I wanted to take in as much as possible. So I did what any«overwhelmed with desire to purchase something everywhere I turned» person would do and started on the far right side. Then I walked towards the back, all the while scheming about how I could a) afford to stretch my budget to accommodate some of these amazing pieces and b) create some of these pieces on my own. Then I came back to the front and made my way left, through antique chests, refinished dressers, adorable side tables. Nautical, romantic, distressed. You name it, I found it. Walking upstairs only increased my curiosity, but also made me think I might get lost… I didn’t have time to explore the entire shop, but from what I saw this is definitely more of a place filled with«ready to put in your home» pieces than a place to score your next DIY project. I saw amazing items that had already been given tender loving care, and I left with the desire to outfit an entire room(if not more) with someone else’s refinished furniture. I love a good DIY project myself, but Through The Garden Gate had so many beautiful pieces for which I would happily shell out cash in a heartbeat.
