I. K. Catering

It has taken me over 6 months to get the courage to write this review but I have finally decided that I do not want anyone else to go through what I did, especially on what is supposed to be the most important day of their life. When I first met with Brian, the owner of I.K. Catering I thought it was the perfect choice. The food at the tasting was amazing, the price was great and he assured me that he would take care of everything. Over the next year the majority of our communication occurred through text message and there were many issues regarding the communication, or lack there of. Three days before my wedding Brian text messaged me to tell me that he had a family emergency and would not be on site the day of my wedding. I was upset at the way in which he provided this information but he assured me that everything would be taken care of. IT WAS NOT. to say the least, the service was sub par (the bartender took money from my guests to that they could get alcohol before the ceremony started), things were forgotten and worst of all the food was COLD. I will honestly say that I truly believe that if he had been onsite I would have not have had any issues because he was in charge and knew what should have been going on. Unfortunately he was not able to be there and it showed.
I tried for several months after the wedding to resolve the issue with Brian with no luck, because I refused to sign a non-​disclosure agreement. After 5 months we final went to court in which I was awarded a judgement against him. He has continued to ignore requests from me for the payment of this and I am not having to once again deal with lawyers to get my money. If you want «catering with class» you are looking in the wrong place.

So very disappointed in IK. This place comes highly recommended. We were looking into having them cater our wedding reception. We spent almost an hour, on our initial visit, going over menus and bar options. We were told they would have some proposals to us within a week. Got nothing. After 2 weeks, I emailed them. Never got a response.
Upon discussing this with other friends and the venue, we discovered that is the norm for Italian Kitchen.
A complete waste of our time. I would never recommend this place for anything.
