Had work done by Landon but all the artists are very good. Laid back but professional atmosphere, very clean as well. I would recommend these folks to anyone looking to get work done in Central PA. Plan to head back again this summer. Keep up the great work Black Thorn !

Black Thorn Gallery is, by far, the best tattoo shop in central PA. Both the work and the shop itself are super clean, and everyone I’ve encountered working there is chill and kind. I have two tattoos done by Landon, and they rival the traditional work I’ve seen at shops like Smith Street in Brooklyn. People always ask me where I got them done, and I never hesitate to recommend Landon and Black Thorn Gallery in general.

Best tattoo shop in the area. It’s very clean, comfortable and welcoming. They specialize in custom artwork, taking your ideas and turning them into an amazing tattoo.

I moved to Harrisburg, PA in late 2008 and needed to find somewhere to tattoo me. After visiting some of the SCUMMIEST tattoo shops in Harrisburg I came across Black Thorn Gallery. I was pleasantly surprised to find a group of legitimate artists residing in the town of Mechanicsburg, PA. The men and women at Black Thorn have given me some of the best work I could have asked for and have always done right by me. I will forever recommend Black Thorn Gallery to anyone that is asking where to get tattooed, regardless of how far away I am from Mechanicsburg. I’ve been tattooed by Landon, Ryan, and Angel and I would recommend any of them over and over again.

Ryan is my artist, but I’ve also seen amazing work from Landon and Tim. This is not only a clean, sterile environment — its also a great art gallery. The best art I’ve seen in the Harrisburg area.
BTW — once a year is Sailor Jerry day. Old school Sailor Jerry tattoos, at old school prices. Its an event that should not be missed.
