Tried this place for lunch only, not pastries. First off, it is worth noting that you are screwed in Silver Lake if you are looking for a quality restaurant to dine at as there are 2 shady, VFW looking, diners, a take out chicken place that happens to be your only sit down alcohol option, a pizza place in a gas station, and this place. Ordered a cheese pizza not expecting anything to write home about but this place made me do just that– for all the wrong reasons. First off, the place is equipped with two rooms of patio furniture for tables that are filthy as the staff would rather chit chat than wipe a table down or clear them of trash. Place is FILTHY. While we were there, my friend and I wanted to use the restroom after driving for two and a half hours to see Silver Lake, yet during our whole visit, three teens who were not customers were allowed to use the restroom as they alternated three times «taking turns» in the one, individual bathroom. Use your imagination on what they could have been doing, but when I asked the staff if there was another restroom option because three kids who were not customers were occupying it for 25 minutes, they simply said «no, sorry» and didn’t do a thing about three kids loitering. The pizza was the worst pizza I have ever had by far and I started trying to cook pizzas when I was seven at home, and those sucked! lol. It wasn’t cooked at all and the cheese was some extremely cheap synthetic Mozzarella. Within an hour, we were both sick after eating one slice each. I wasn’t expecting California Pizza Kitchen, but pizza is hard to screw up, and these guys managed to find a way to do so while maintaining a filthy dive of a «sit down» restaurant. If you are heading to Silver Lake, plan ahead to eat elsewhere before you get into town.
