One of the best experiences I have had with any tour or guide. Amy was our guide and she could not have been more friendly and informative. Not only did my wife and I get to taste some great wines, we learned so much throughout the tour from Amy and some of the winemakers. We wanted to see a winery that was off the beaten path, a rising star, something we could not get in Atlanta and Any did not disappoint. Our first stop was a small operation where we spent 3 hours sampling wine from barrels, and we were able to talk directly to the winemaker the entire time. We were able to get a great feel for his personal style and what would be different from his single vineyard varietals. We were given a behind the scenes look at another winery and had the most amazing lunch. We will definitely be recommending Amy and her husband and you should check them out as well!

I couldn’t have asked for more. The tour guide was awesome. He was very informative about the region and wines. Our group was able to go at our own pace and see boutique wineries, which he picked based on our interests. The van was comfortable, and lunch rocked. I was expecting picnic lunch sandwiches and chips. We got gourmet sandwiches, salads, charcuterie plates. We were even given a ride to diner after the tour. Compared to group tours, private tours are the way to go. In addition, the price is right for this tour. If I taste in Oregon again, this will be the company I use.

For a wine novice such as myself, it was truly a pleasure to be able to spend the day recently with both Jim & Amy, my wife and friends hitting some valley wineries. Being local to the McMinnville/Dundee/Newberg area I’ve been out a number of times to different wineries and enjoyed myself, but this was different. Jim and Amy have such a great and varied background in the wine industry and I learned so much! We talked AVA’s, soil types, fruit types, winemaker histories, winery and vineyard backgrounds, and much more. It was a lot of fun and I wish I could have Jim and Amy along with me every time I go out! I really think their tour would be good for the beginner as well as the experienced. Jim and Amy are very flexible, tailoring tours to specific wants and needs. Although a day of wine tasting is relaxing, it is tiring as well. We made stops at 3 wineries and had the opportunity to drink lots of good wines. We probably could have hit a couple more wineries, but if you ask a lot of questions(like I do) you probably will make it to 3, 4 or 5 if you’re lucky. We were reminded to eat a good breakfast before we went so our stomachs weren’t empty… and pace ourselves. Lunch after a couple of stops is great and Jim and Amy know where to go. Comfortable shoes and a jacket just in case the Valley weather changes is a good idea too. Definitely recommend Winemaker Tours!

We had such a fabulous experience! It was our first time wine tasting and Jim was very knowledgeable and made it a great day. The van they took us in was very comfortable and luxurious. We went to beautiful wineries and saw amazing views. We went to «Ruby» vineyards(our daughter’s name– very special!), as well as visiting Amy at Eyrie, where she was able to pour wine for us and tour the facility. We had a ball, and will definitely be back! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a beautiful day wine tasting!
