I am a former Great Clips manager, from a very busy salon in another state. I have recently moved here and wanted to get the lay of the land at a few local Great Clips. They are franchised and have different owners, who may run their business’ quite differently from Great Clips standards. As I pulled up, the stylists were standing in the front of the salon smoking. I walked in and was greeted politely, but without the«Hi, Welcome to Great Clips.» that I expect. No big deal right… There was not a soul in sight so I was seated right away. after a short consultation. I was sprayed down vigorously with firehose proficiency and had to wipe the excess water from my face. I received a mediocre haircut, quite unevenly layered, but at least the ends were the same length. She did not cross check the layers, nor check to see if both sides were even. I was never given a hand mirror, nor even asked if I liked it, or if it was short enough. I was taken up to the counter to pay, still dripping wet, with no idea what my new haircut looked like. I was asked if I wanted a receipt, but not given one(I said no thank you) I was not told about a satisfaction guarantee, or the coupon that is often on the bottom of the receipt. I was not invited back. So I don’t think I’ll go back.

I felt my hair weighing down on my head. I knew it was that time. Time was of the essence. I was starting to be mistaken for Justin Beiber. Typically I go to the other Great Clips but figured I was closer to this one. Let me first just say I wish I would have taken the time to go to the other store. I told the woman I just needed a trim and some weight taken off. I didn’t realize that she was preparing me to go into the military with my cut. You know the kind of haircut I am talking about. The kind that even a hat doesn’t make it any better. It’s completely uneven which I am not sure how that can happen since it is so short but it happened. So now I am just telling myself in 3 weeks my hair will have grown back and I can start again. I just got to hold onto hope for 3 weeks.

Won’t be coming back. I asked for a Caesar Cut, specified longer in the front than in the back and asked for slight unevenness in the front. What I got was a single length buzz cut. I thought she finished quickly. Since I have bad vision I couldn’t tell what was going on until it was too late. Put my glasses back on and got a shock. Imam giving 2 stasrs because I did actually receive a haircut. I did not receive the one I asked for.

I recommend both Rustle [this is the correct spelling] and Shiloh [only works Sundays]. Both do a «#1 fade» extremely well. Coupons are sometimes printed on the bottom of the receipts.
