Small Shop but interesting collection of good quality antiques. A bit pricey but they have good sales. I bought a lampshade at an awesome price and it was a perfect addition to my room.

The Treasure Shop, situated in the heart of McLean, is an eclectic mix of antiques, art, vintage items, jewellry, silver, kitchen goods, books, home décor and childrens items. Today I admired an American Indian breast decoration, a set of spurs, English riding boots with stretchers, Asian antique statues, Rosenthal glassware, sterling silver candelabras, Holiday decorations and a vintage spinning top. I like the fact that it also doesn’t have used clothing, other than the odd vintage item, as there’s a weird smell that seems to go hand in hand with them. After the initial 30 days the items begin discounting. The items are sold on consignment from clients throughout the Metro DC area. Its got a great mix for both the collectors and what I call the«cheap and cheerful«crowd(like myself lol!). I dont find the prices unreasonable but maybe thats just me and I’m always mindful that a portion of my purchase is going to an excellent cause. If its after the 30 day mark, I usually can get a great deal. Its great for browsing with friends as the inventory turns over rapidly and changes every week. and there’s a Starbucks just steps from the door! The shop is currently managed by Vinson Hall Staff but staffed by very cheerful volunteers. I’ve managed to buy amazing Holiday gifts for most of my friends here and can’t go in there without finding something perfect for myself. I’ll upload photos to give an idea of the range of items you can find there.

I just wanted to comment on Emily B’s post. I volunteer there and know the manager. She is genuinely concerned about people getting injured because there is so much stuffed crammed into the shop! I’m sure she didn’t mean to sound sarcastic. I hope you come by again, because there is an ever changing array of treasures! And most of the fun comes from hunting them down.

This place gradually won me over on my first visit, but the owner came off as rude my second time when she sarcastically told me «Don’t hurt yourself» when I accidentally bumped a painting, apologizing and doing no damage. An aged but interesting collection of home furnishings, decorations, trinkets, and a few women’s accessories. Prices are on the high end for a thrift store, but may be reasonable for collectors etc. Items are half off after 30 days if the original price is under $ 50.(belts, purses, kitchenwares, trinkets, etc.). Found a genuine leather Coach belt for 4.50!
