Best day spa in DC area. Full service — sauna/steam room/pool/hot tub/relaxation room. The best providers and products. You can’t go wrong coming here for pure relaxation.

Yesterday my mother and I spent an afternoon out and we truly enjoyed ourselves. It was costly, but no more than other spas, and it was a really nice to use the steam room and sauna. We got our nails done, then I had a facial. Afterwards, we were so relaxed we decided to order some lunch, which we ate by the pool. My mom is older and needs extra care and I really can’t tell you how wonderful the staff was to us. From the receptionists to the lady in the locker room who went out of her way to help my mother. And her nail tech was so gentle and so kind, I was impressed. When we told them we wanted to order food, they said it would be about 30 minutes, so they went and got my mom some snacks until lunch came. We ate out by the pool, and some of the kids were loud, but other than that it was a nice day.

Massage was great but receptionist attitude sucks. They force you to add 20% gratuity for the service in a mean way, so beware lol I would give 20% regardless so why would they hassle anyways?!

Don’t waste your money here for an extra special spa experience My hot stone massage was wonderful but the rest of the experience was not The treatment rooms are very loud .one is even located in the locker room which means you hear everyone as they blow dry their hair, shower, talk to friends, flush the toilet, and more . The other treatment rooms are just as loud. The relaxation room has only 4 seats which means if it’s crowded there is no place to sit and«relax» If you are larger than a size 12 they give you a robe that is different from everyone else… a great way to make someone self conscious Save your money and don’t waste it thinking you are treating yourself

I had a pedicure here and had to comment because I had the same experience as the woman believe. I was asked if I wanted callous removal. It’s a pedicure so of course I do. I was shocked when I saw $ 20 charged on my bill for the callous treatment. It consisted of a liquid being applied to the bottom of my feet. That was it. And it saved a ton of time because my feet were then barely scrubbed. Last time I went, they used parrafin, and I was charged for it too. I think if you do the«express» pedicure they find a way to increase the price to the regular one by adding extras.

I just walked out of an Express Pedicure about an hour ago. I can say that I’m underwhelmed by their service and the overall experience was disappointing. I should have realized this was going downhill when I checked in for my appointment. Vicky at the front desk had me for the right time, but for the wrong day! She was able to squeeze me in for a later time today, which I took. I figured it would just be a 30 min wait where I can just read and relax. Their relaxation room is suuuuper tiny! I was surprised to find that this is what they offer to their customers. My bedroom is bigger! Oh, and did I mention the lack of service and no wifi availability? So onto the pedicure… «meh» pedicure, nothing special. They only have OPI polishes here, in case you’re wondering. The technician did scrub my feet like crazy, and now I have a part of my foot which actually stings. :(Not to mention she forgot to put lotion on my feet before adding polish! At least it was a very clean and quiet facility. All in all, I’ll only be returning to maximize my gift card. If you’re coming here to spend your own $$, I would say go find somewhere else.

I took my assistant for a spa day at the Rtiz last week, where i have been a longtime customer. My assistant had never been to a spa(it was for Admin Professionals Day) and the exoerience was unsatisfactory and, frankly, embarrassing. A couple of highlights(or lowlights): There was no one on duty when we arrived at 10 am. There was construction equipment and workmen in the hall working on something. Finally found a young man who was relieved that he did not have to show me the ladies locker room. No slippers, finally located 2 pairs of mens large which we slopped around in all day. No air on and it was about 80 degrees the entire time. Massage and facial were fine, lunch was mediocre at best, but as we weerr preparing for our manicure/pedicures, I was told that my attendany had called in sick and there was no substitute. The fact that I was not told until I was literally ready to sit down was annoying and the fact that I thne had to wait around for two hours whie my assistant had her manicure and pedicure was ridiculous. The woman at the deak assured nme that her manager would reach out to me and apologize. Never heard from them. In fairness, I did not have to pay for the services I received(although i did tip the therapists), but I would much rather hvae paid and enjoyed what should have been a great experience. Last time I will go there. To bad, it used to be great.

Honestly I was a bit disappointed with this splurge on my part. I am a student and yeah, maybe spending $ 300+ on myself in the middle of the school year wasn’t so smart… but I’m stressed out! I also sort of got this vibe that I wasn’t good enough to be there… sorry I don’t appear to be your usual rich elite clientele(I’m not, I drive a beat up Accord and cry into tissues, not money, but don’t look down on me because of it!) I really wanted to treat myself and figured that this would be the place to do it. I ended up getting the Invigorate Package which includes a spa pedi, mani, petite facial, and 50 minute massage. The nail technician was really nice, but maybe a bit too chatty and I’m really not good at telling people to be quiet. She did an excellent job on my feet, but my mani felt a bit rushed because we were behind schedule. The facial was so worth it! I was totally relaxed and my skin felt awesome afterwards. I would definitely recommend this and go back. The esthetician talked to me about what products to use which was great. I think the best part was when she put the warm towel over my neck and face and it felt like a super cozy cocoon… just go, seriously you’ll see what I mean. The massage would have been really great, but they put me in the room right next to the locker room. I’m sorry guys, but when I can hear the sound of blowdryers over the calming music, it’s not relaxing or therapeutic… it makes me irritated. The masseuse did a great job, but this totally ruined my night. I guess I’m just bummed that I spent what is a lot of money for me, but ended up feeling rushed and unsatisfied about the noise during the massage. However, I might be back for that facial when I am employed.

I so hate to do this because I love the Ritz Carlton but the spa room where I had my treatment was in the changing room, beside the bathroom. I could hear the toilet flushing throughout my entire massage which is so very distracting and un-relaxing. I had the 80 min massage so with the automatic gratuity, it was about $ 250 which is steep for a massage in my opinion that was in the bathroom. They have lots of amenities, pool, gym, sauna, steam room, and of course, the Ritz Carlton staff. I still have money left on my gift card so Im going to give it another chance but tell them I cant do the bathroom.

One of the worst pedicures I’ve ever had. The nail tech asked me if I wanted her to work on my calluses– I said of course. Every pedicure I’ve ever had included exfoliation and work on foot calluses, that’s why you get a pedicure. When I checked out they charged me an extra 20 $ for«special callus removal» 90 $ for a pedicure– you’re better off in strip mall nail salon.

My husband and I decided to get anniversary massages here. I arrived early to use the gym(so nice and had it all to myself) and then used their facities to shower. Had an amazing massage and continued on to the sauna and steam room(which they have seperate for men and women). I was then able to shower right there. All facilities are clean and luxurious. Everyone was kind and it was an extremely enjoyable experience. It was definitely a little pricey but using all the facilities gave me a few hours out of the experience and made it worth it for me. The only thing I wish was that the indoor pool and jacuzzi were also open. They have wacky hours during the week and I wasn’t able to use them while I was there.
