Solid and intersting Thai food. Pineapple chicken is fantastic. Get any of the fish dishes as well. We go here at least once a month and the food is always great. The services is adequate and it’s priced to reflect the freshness of the ingredients!

Very good but also so so expensive(the prices for their main soups are outrageous). The iced tea has a nutty taste(which I love, but others don’t). Definitely order the pad Thai, the drunken noodles(pad Ke Mao), the crispy chicken basil(probably the best but is so hit or miss) and the mango sticky rice. The eggplant chicken salad isn’t bad either. Know that substitutions or add-ons can easily make your $ 10 noodle dish into a $ 20 dish. 4 stars instead of 5 because it’s a bit over priced and dishes are hit of miss in terms of crispness, spiciness, etc.

Awesome place! the food is delicious and the ice tea is great! I sometimes pass by just to get the Thai ice tea :) Pad Thai was good, I also tried the tofu, chicken panang… very good, and pineapple chicken the sauce is delicious; and finally the dessert sticky mango rice is really good to end your meal with.

the portions are so small! we ordered the rockfish & a seafood plate. rockfish was a fillet(no where on the menu did it say fillet, most thai places serve rockfish as a whole, especially for $ 25, a fillet is the size of your hand! the seafood dish consist of 2 shrimp &2 scallops, ordered 2 drinks, was still sooooo hungry! spend $ 80, i could have went to Flemings and got 3 course meal for 2 people for $ 80! the previous reviews are correct, there is no food on the plate. Service was fine but to leave a restaurant still hungry after ordering $ 80 dollars worth of food is unacceptable!

I’ve been going here for years, and to be honest, things have truly changed negatively. I remember my first time at Pasa Thai: it was truly a 5 star meal with the best duck rolls I’ve ever had and the largest portion of rockfish I have ever ate, every bite being a true treat. Nowadays I’m disappointed to say things have changed. First off, prices have increased and the portions have decreased, making Pasa Thai one of the most expensive Thai restaurant in the area. Normally I would be willing to pay for it because of the high quality of the food but after tonight’s meal I won’t be coming back for some time. My duck rolls were shrunk down quite a bit and the portion of duck and sauce was less, however the cucumber and scallion portions remained the same, unbalancing the flavor of the roll(the scallion overpowered the duck too much). The rockfish isn’t as big as it used to be, and I was happy to say that today it wasn’t as small as I have seen it, but it’s still smaller than I remember. It was also smothered in sauce, which after the first few bites started to ruin the crispness of the rockfish be causing the fried bits to be soggy. The food all tasted great, but the duck rolls were not worth the 12 bucks(more like 8 based on that size, see the pic). Another issue that I have always seen with Pasa Thai is their seasoning. Sometimes it will be on point but anything that has to do with parsley or anything spicy their chefs tend to go a little overboard, making some of their soups harder to eat because of how the herbs overpower the broth or any of their specials with the hot chili sauce be so spicy that only the most extreme can handle the burn that it can generate in your mouth. One final note is the service. In the beginning it was always decent but now a days you have to usually flag down your waitress to order and you always have to repeat yourself. At least the staff always talks together at the front so you don’t have to look around the restaurant for your server. Overall, I guess Pasa is pretty average now. Shame, because that place used to be one of my hotspots…

We ordered Siam Beef and Tofu Snow Peas. The beef was really good, but seemed a bit pricey at $ 17 and the Tofu Snow Peas well… lacked snow peas(instead a lot of mushrooms and other veggies). Both meals were small portions, but kind of liked that because I normally get too much food. I asked for hot tea and didn’t expect to pay $ 4 for hot tea(normally free at Asian places). Service was a ok, but they had one of their kids at a table playing video games with sound up high enough that it kind of ruined the nice music playing. Overall, a bit pricey, food ok. Maybe there are other really good dishes, but probably won’t come back as there are many options for Thai locally.

Every time I have gone, the owner states his credit card machine isn’t working. I go to the bank to get the money and of course my food is cold by then. He doesn’t want to tell the customer they have a minimum amount they need to charge nor did he tell me over the phone. Never dealt with such an unprofessional place. Absolute Thai has never had these issues and have much better service. I will never go there again.

Disappointed with the food but service was good. Like several Unilocalers pointed out, the portions are very small and they try to fool you by putting the food on a large white and wide plate. The yum talay came with three small shrimps and two squids mixed in what was mostly a pile of onions and carrots. The kee Mao noodles had chicken slices with dried edges– a big sign that they may have reheated chicken that had been cooked before. If I wanted dry chicken I can reheat my leftovers at home.

Five stars because I LOVED everything I ordered. I got in the car and started typing this right away. Appetizers: Chicken satay was great. I loved the peanut sauce that came with it. I’m generally not a fan of peanut sauce, but this had a kick and was really flavorful. The chicken curry puff was really good! Probably not the most healthy thing on the menu but whatever. There was also a really good side dish with a sauce/glaze to go with it. Dinner: Panang Curry(Chicken) was just right. Really tasty and had just enough spice. Thankfully there was enough to eat and take home. Pad See Ew wasn’t the hit of the night. I didn’t order it but my boyfriend did and wasn’t thrilled. I don’t typically like this dish anyway so I’m going to ignore that it wasn’t fantastic. Overall– I can say that I’m upset I hadn’t gone here sooner. Really happy with this choice and we will be back soon.

Crispy beef is our favorite! Penang curry and pad Thai is very good. Tastefully interior. Bar. Great service. Kinda spendy. Average entire cost is $ 18.00.

This was one of the better Thai restaurants in Northern VA. Everything was fresh and tasty. However, it’s little pricey. For lunch we had — an appetizer, a soup, 2 entrees, 2 hot teas and it was $ 56 plus tip.

Went with a friend to this place last night. The food was absolutely delicious. My friend had the chicken cashew and I had the crispy beef with basil. The chicken cashew portion was pretty large and the crispy beef with basil was huge. We both had leftovers to take home. I especially like the crispy beef with basil because some Thai restaurants make the beef too crispy that you couldn’t chew it. There was just enough crisp to the beef to make it crunchy and yet tasty. The hotness was just right not too spicy and not too bland. We had a coupon from one of the restaurant sites and the meal came to $ 9 each including the cost of the(7.50 each) coupon, tax and tip. The meal without the coupon would have been $ 36($ 18 a person). The restaurant was packed on a Friday night and all the dishes looked really good. The waiters would constantly check on us even though they were extremely busy. They were so friendly that I would go back again just to try other dishes!

Food was cold. Rice portions are skimpy and overpriced. Tables are very close to each other, no privacy. Service so bad(take 25 minutes to get a check? Hello!) We are not likely to return. One star for interesting restroom :)

I really enjoyed this place! Decided to go on a whim for dinner and ordered the Pad See Ew which was delicious! The service was very quick and the restaurant is relatively small but cozy and comfortable. The hostess and servers were all extremely friendly, as well. My only complaint is that it is a bit pricey considering the portion size, but overall a good find!

OK. But on the expensive side. Enjoyed the experience, but there is better Thai at half the price.

Pasa Thai is one of my favorite Thai places in Nova. Today we had Pad Thai and panang curry. Aside from my companion wishing the panang were a little spicier, it was perfect. They didn’t scrimp on the ingredients in the Pad Thai, my papaya salad was delicious… Basically everything I’ve ever had here is quality. On top of all of that, the décor and atmosphere is modern, the wait staff are attentive, and their mango and sticky rice is divine. So where did that fifth star go? Their taste in music is dreadful. Truly awful.

This is a nice little Thai place. The staff was friendly and the service was good. Food came out fairly quickly. I had the red curry with chicken, which I liked. Only criticism: I indicated I wanted it Thai hot. The waitress asked if I was sure. I said yes. After taking a few bites I had to ask for the spices. Prior to me bringing it up to the right level I would estimate their Thai hot to be a 6, maybe 7, on a scale of 1 – 10. That was a bit disappointing, but it will not stop me from going there again. Next time I will simply have to find a better way to convey that I want it HOT!

I love Thai food and Pasa Thai’s spicy fried rice with chicken is my absolute favorite dish. I just can’t get enough of it. Same for their veggie tempura; the sauce that comes with it is just amazingly delicious. Lovely atmosphere. Friendly service. Most importantly, great food.

Went to this place for lunch and it was probably the best red Curry, chicken I’ve had in the northern VA area. The chicken was cooked just right and plenty of it. I also really liked that they put Thai green peppers in it to give a little kick! My main complaint is that this was lunch and I thought the pricing would be more reasonable. Paid $ 11.

A Thai Restaurant with free delivery!!! Big portions!!! AND Quality Food!!! Shut. Up. This place is as good as it gets. Price is on par with other Thai restaurants in the area, Service both delivery and eat-in are always excellent. Delivery is fast and friendly. On to the food… –Pad Kee Mao(aka Drunken Noodle) — So spicy but not in a bad way — and flavorful. Their drunken noodles are the best here. –Pad See Ew — My 2nd favorite dish here. Perfect amount of sweetness in the sauce and the broccoli’s are cut into small pieces which I love. I hate when some places give you a whole head of broccoli cut into just 4 pieces. –Crispy Duck Curry — Amazing flavor! The duck is delicious, I recommend eating this at the restaurant, it didn’t travel well when I had it delivered. –Green Curry — Perfectly creamy and full of flavor –Panang Curry — Small hint of spice and perfect mild pea-nutty flavors(this is the BF’s favorite curry here) You have to give this place a try… order in on the next rainy, dreary, night when all you want to do is put on sweats and stay home :) One side note — the rice portion they give you is a little small so you may want to ask for extra rice or just make extra at home especially if you have a rice-a-holic boyfriend like I do.
