Kumon Math and Reading Center of Mclean – West

If there was a way to give this center no stars I wud have done that. Really poor way to teach kids — they just hand out worksheets out of work sheets and don’t want to help the kids in any way. As a parent, If I had any questions, I wud always be told to have a parent conference which wud always be 3 – 4 weeks away and in the meantime my child is going there and not getting what he is doing while I am waiting for a parent conference (and of course we are paying for that time). If he would have any question in his class, he was told to try try and try — without even looking at what he wants to know — poor thing didn’t understand the meaning of the word and Ms. Aoi thought he wanted the answer. They would sometimes forget to keep the worksheets in their bin outside and tell me that since I didn’t come that night, they moved it in (which doesn’t make sense cuz every one else’s sheets wud still be out). Just a very poorly run center with too many kids and NO ENGLISH SPEAKING staff member
