The place is nice the music is good BUT the bartender is such. If you’re fucking hate Asian than don’t be bartender there because a lot of Asian go there. Well this place hate Asian. Fuck white girls bartender there. The bartender is such(just girls) but if you’re the customer with money there except it.

So, being the dutiful husband that I am, I tried to find a date night location that would score me points. I thought Iris Lounge would have it all, dancing food, drinks, and clientele that was out of college. When we arrived we thought we were in the wrong place. The structure was a corrugated steel sided monstrosity in what looked like an industrial park(in Tysons… who knew???) It went down hill from there. We entered, after paying for valet parking, and cover charge for me(wife was free). The place was dark, in a dingy way. The layout was confusing, and there were no tables available to get food. We stumbled around and saw that the other patrons were far from college age, but closer to social security age. The men reminded me of Herb Tarlick(WKRPTV show) and Larry(loser from Threes Company). The smell of desperation was so strong that it overcame the cheap sweet perfume worn by the women, who bravely went without their walkers that night! It may have been a special event, or reunion for the Manila Girls High School Class of 1974 but the ladies all had a similar look. We stayed for about 10 minutes. As we left, we saw a young couple at a table who begged us with their eyes to take them with us(we hated to leave what looked like the only«normal» couple behind, but we wanted to hop on the last life boat before sinking with the SS Despair)

This place has some of the oddest clientele in any place I have ever been to, just oddly bizarre. There were young people, there were creepy old men sitting at the bar, mom’s out to capture their long lost hotness, an all out hodgepodge of all ages, cultures, races and more. Décor is weird too, it’s like they want to attract their hodgepodge so they put in any possible activity that any person on earth would be interested in, they have a cigar lounge, they have a dance floor, they have pool tables and even an odd sushi bar. There is no rhyme or reason to their layout, it was if they had too much space and too many ideas, so they just decided to try them all. They play music on Saturday nights but they link all the songs to the accompanying music video, I assume this must be done in advance so it doesn’t lead to any spontaneous or quality DJ work, it is just a repetitive loop of not so good music. Worth a visit if you enjoy watching oddities but other than that it’s no bueno.

Good vibe overall. I’ve been here for drinks and happy hour food. My won complaint is the music is too loud with the band there on Wednedsays.

Fun place! LOTS of space for a group of people. We gathered around the bar and had plenty of space. We met for drinks(and half price appetizers until 8:30PM). There was a latin dance class going on when we arrived which morphed into a great latin dance party! Tues night fun! This is good for groups, or singles. Fun spot. they also have a game room with pool tables and other fun games for adults. It’s kind of hard to find by the address. it’s off of Spring Hill. go down Tyco Road and you’ll see it(big warehouse).(was formerly E-Cities). Also, it’s close to Rt. 7/Spring Hill Rd. area.

Decent place. Average selection of cigars. While the location and general décor are not anything amazing — what’s lacking in luxury and ambience is made up by outstanding service by the bartender Stephanie, in the Cigar Lounge upstairs. When I arrived here I was a little underwhelmed with the curb appeal and entrance. Was greeted /checked-out by a somewhat rough looking, not so courteous general manager. But moment I was in the Cigar lounge, Stephanie made it perfect. As the bartender and someone who manages that lounge, she’s very attentive, extremely courteous, efficient, makes the best Manhattan, livens the place up. I’d go back — just for the service.

I like the place. Saturday is very good. The music is good for dancing, the food is good and so is the service. Good valet parking. All the staff is very friendly. Maria Fernanda gives good salsa lessons Tuesday night.

Great cigar lounge. Great ventilation good bourbon, Blantons, and Stephanie is not just awesome but drop dead gorgeous! What more can a cigar smoker want! Sushi and sashimi was very good! But Stephanie made the night.

Good place to go to have some drinks, food, and dancing. The food was good and the price was right. Our waitress Sarah was very attentive and the service was great. I would recommend this place and will return when back in the area.

When I first walked into the place I never would have guessed that I would have ended up liking the joint so much! Bar, restaurant, sushi bar, pool tables, a dance floor, and the sophisticated cigar bar upstairs definitely don’t seem to be things that you find under one roof. But this has become the place I go when I want to go out and don’t want to deal with the hassle of going to Clarendon or DC as well as when I’m with a more diverse group of friends that all have different ideas for what they want to do that night. It’s definitely been mostly an older crowd(40 +) when I’ve been in on weekend nights. And guys do have to pay a cover at the door(at least there’s a deejay to justify paying for the honor setting foot in the door). Plus there aren’t any neighboring establishments for barhopping. But, hey, the food is surprisingly excellent(especially for the price) — and not just typical bar food and the sushi bar they have may seem a little random… But I have decided that it’s genius to serve decent sushi to party goers all the way through last call!

I live nearby and once I was looking for a place to go with a friend for a drink… The crowd was«odd» to avoid the labels; old men, much younger women. Service was«meh», the décor and place design is antiquated. For such a substandard place, there was a cover of $ 10/person… Laughable. I just wanted to sit down and catch up with my friend, so we paid it, but then the music was very loud and it was hard to have a conversation and the characters inside were somewhat distracting. I Won’t be back

Best worst dive bar everrrr… defies logic which makes it a great place for people.watching. Only place in town where you can see men on oxygen tanks being«chased» by 20 something girls that run in flocks. Do not try sushi… it used to be some of the best in town, now the quality is the same as gas station sushi(I have tried that too). Happy hour food is some of the best for what you pay. Service is the only saving grace but only on the floor, not at the bar.

*review for cigar lounge, along with the service, and food/drinks within its confines* I came here on a Tuesday evening with a friend. It’s located in a nondescript metal warehouse off 7 freeway. Parking is free and plentiful, though I imagine it may be a problem on the weekends. Iris is a mixed bag of sorts; you have the billiards area, the bar on the main level, dance floor where they host salsa nights on Tuesday, multiple wall-to-wall projector screens of televised games, and,(the reason I stopped in) the members-only cigar lounge upstairs. From the other reviews and pictures, it seems the service and food may be a cut above in the lounge upstairs. They have a limited cigar collection on hand, but enough of the staples across palette to keep most people satisfied. Those truly into cigars would probably bring their own sticks anyway. They do charge a per stick surcharge of $ 3.00 if you want to smoke your own, which is reasonable. Scotch and Bourbon is plentiful. Seats and couches are tastefully done, and you can really have the level of privacy you prefer to conduct business or enjoy the night over conversation. Naturally, clientele in the lounge tends to be older, more conservative, dressier, and male. There were less than a handful of women, which included the bartender, but the service was good– not too much, nor too little. Recommend: Ahi Tuna w/mango chutney, cooked rare on a bed of lettuce, and my company enjoyed his steak. Go.

Pretty disappointed. I’m from out of town and wanted a chill place to go near our hotel. A friend recommended this place and I was shocked to see the whole crowd was 50+. That didn’t bother me as much as the bartender. I’m from California and I tipped the bartender 15% for $ 75 worth of drinks(and we bought a few rounds). He told my friend that the«girls» he’s with isn’t tipping him well. I find that extremely unprofessional and offensive. I wouldn’t recommend anyone go there. The food was ok, music was good, and the staff was rude.

I come many Thursday nights to actually perform with the band. I appreciate a club that supports live music! They have an excellent Happy Hour menu. The staff is very friendly, and it has a cool atmosphere. The Thursday night crowd is usually in the 40 something range. I’d love to come back for salsa night. There’s an elevated cigar bar above the dance floor. Try the Fire Cracker Shrimp!

I came here on Wednesday night. It is just like other reviews said: attract an older group of people. Had two drinks and ordered sushi there. Sushi was not bad and the price is decent. I want to check it out on Friday and Saturday to see the dance club. It is very close to where I live and that is the main reason for me to come again. After all driving to dc and have a night out is not worth it sometimes.

I was basically dragged here by friends for«ladies night» Ladies night consisted of me, my two friends, and some drunk girl who was dancing with herself on the gigantic dance floor. The rest of the patrons were old men who were there for ladies night. They did make a good dirty martini. But no.

I use to go here a lot with my girlfriends. We all range from our mid 20s to 30s. We enjoy the place very much together because the service is not that bad. The manager is nice, if you’re nice with them. Ambiance: Vintage look, dimmed, old-fashioned Food: Mediocre. I always go for the appetizers. I love them! Some of the sushi choices are good. Drinks: Depends on what bartender you get. They seem to have a huge turnover. So go during their happy hour. And bring good company Crowd: Mainly targeted for an older crowd mid 30s and up. Usually, the girls and I seem to invite other people. So bring a crowd in and make it your night. Works for us! Overall: If you’re young or young-hearted, this may not be the place for you. But you can make any place fun if you bring good company. If you’re looking for a low-key place and want to just chat with friends then this place isn’t bad for a chill night.

Met a friend here for happy hour and really didn’t know what to expect. This place is in a very nondescript building, but don’t be deceived. I was unexpectedly impressed with Iris Lounge. We sat at the bar, ordered a couple drinks and a small bite from the happy hour menu. We ended up trying the Spicy Chicken Roulade. The chicken filling had a nice balance of flavor with only a slight kick and a delicate crispiness. So for those who can’t really take spicy food, not to worry because it’s not really that spicy. Overall, the food and service were pretty good. This place had a fun vibe with great happy hour specials. It happened to be salsa night, so it was fun to watch some of the salsa dancing. It’s a place I would definitely return to for happy hour if I was in the neighborhood.
