My husband and I have been eating here fro 12 years. They advertise a European cuisine and the atmosphere feels like a small European café. The food is terrific and the wait staff is always attentive. Whether I have taken my parents(one of their favorite spots) or my children, everyone enjoys their meal. The vegetables are always delicious and the bread – irresistable!

My family and I have been eating here for close to 30 years. The menu has changed little over those years, and for good reason. The cuisine is excellent comfort food. The waiters have been mostly the same over the years, and it is so nice to return just to see their smiling faces. I also love how cozy the space is, with maybe a dozen tables, and the walls adorned with beautiful plates. Personally, this place has very fond memories for me. It’s not Auberge, and it doesn’t aim to be. I can tell you that over the years, this restaurant has acquired many regulars, and I have come to recognize many faces sitting at their usual table. In fact, it’s been too long since my last meal. I must go back! Santé!

This is an deal local restaurant: friendly, good food, and inexpensive. I’ve been there many times and have never been disappointed.

If you are looking for a really good French restaurant in the DC metro area look no further. The food is outstanding, the service is outstanding. This is a small restaurant with a relaxed inviting setting. It is in a small shopping center and it is quiet and relaxing. They don’t rush you so you can really enjoy the food and wine. Since it is small you will need a reservation especially on weekends. The Caesar Salad it very good.

We’ve been returning to Café Tatti for over twenty five years. It always feels special. It’s tricky to find, but worth the hunt. Everything feels so carefully prepared.

This place is incredible. The décor is so old world Europe I want to go to France! Excellent tasting food and wine was delicious. I have long protested the commercialization of dining out, and chains. I love this as a shining example of an independent restaurant with amazing food full of character.

Solid and dependable. Food is good and consistent. Nothing earth shattering but it’s a favorite for my elderly father for lunch. We always enjoy our meal there.

We took our granddaughters there last last night. The food was incredible. They were very kid friendly. Caesar salad, chicken parmigiana, duck and soft shell crabs were the best we’ve ever had. For dessert the owners niece made millefeuille and the girls had chocolate mousse. Delicious. Resonably price. Excellent service. We will go again.

Before going I looked at other Unilocal reviews… Humorously one person comments on the endless full glasses of water… It took me asking three time to get my Perrier… The service was horrific. The food worse. I ordered a Medium Rare filet… It arrive close to well… Almost over well… the refine… Raw center… I tried my dad’s Orange duck… Hummmm… Where’s the orange glaze??? Not one dish was correct. Whether a veal s hotel or pork… This place does not deserve to be calling itself a European cuisine!!! I would discourage going there … Just not worth it!!! If I could give zero stars I certainly would!!!

Bread should always be freshly baked, especially in a French Restaurant. The bread here was dry, and it was served with butter that had been sliced off of a larger stick– an odd presentation. After the bread came a Caesar salad. The dressing tasted home made(I could tell because they were heavy-handed with the anchovy paste, but I did like it), but the lettuce was absolutely slathered with dressing, and the croutons weren’t made in house. Finally, I had the chicken Marsala. The chicken was cooked well and was well seasoned, but the sauce broke and my plate was covered with oil. I did like that I could tell that the sauce was made with fresh mushrooms. Also, the vegetables on the side were simple, but good. My Cabernet was also good. All in all, nothing was great but everything was ok.

You could call this rustic and traditional but I call it old and musty. A Welcome introduction from the host but an unfriendly waiter ruins this dinning experience. The chef is skilled but this restaurant needs a revamp drastically. The average customers besides my gf and myself was 60+. The specials were poorly written by an elementary school child and shoved into the menu on a hand ripped piece of paper. Props to the classically trained chef but the front end disappoints unless your 60+.

Birthday luncheon. Quiche tasted like it had been microwaved, Caesar was fabulous. Bread just from the oven, warm and inviting. Staff attentive. So cozy and intimate

Attended a «go away» lunch for some departing coworkers here. The dining room is quaint, if a little tired. The beer selection was decent. I ordered the pork schnitzel, which was a special of the day. It tasted strongly of fish, sort of like it was cooked in the same pan. Not a problem, per se, but it didn’t improve the dish.

I am French and ashamed after my experience at this«restaurant». Even desserts aren’t home made, but industrial. Everything is fake.

I just had lunch at Café Tatti and was reminded of how great(and consistently great) their food is. We started with delicious freshly backed baguette and Ceaser salad that comes with every entrée. For my entrée, I had the Toast Simon-Simon. An open-faced ham and cheese sandwich smothered in a mushroom cream sauce so fabulous for a moment I seriously thought I had died and gone to heaven. My friend had the quiche Lorraine that had a crust so perfect, it was hard to believe we were not in France. The décor shows its 30+ years and was probably always a bit kitschy, but if you love French country cooking and amazing service, this little hole-in-the-wall is for you.

Quaint restaurant. Food is reasonably priced. Wish portion size was a little bigger. GREAT service. Felt like I was in France again. Pâté — good. Not a fan of pâté, but tried it anyway. Tasty. Chicken Francaise — 2 succulent chicken breasts, lightly floured. Served with Caesar salad, boiled potatoes and vegetable of the day(green beans when I went). Flatiron steak with black peppercorn sauce — tender. See photo. Included Caesar salad, green beans and boiled potatoes. Not bad for $ 16. If you’ve ever been to a restaurant where your water glass never got refilled, that definitely won’t happen here. Water glass was full the entire meal — even after we paid the bill. Would definitely return again.

Apparently the genre is «European», and it used to be owned by a Portuguese woman who sold it to the current owner, who is apparently Greek. I suppose that’s keeping with the euro theme? In any case, it is located on Old Dominion in a small commercial building and neighbors some other local eat places. It doesn’t however impress despite having seemingly legit local cred. I ordered the Coq au Vin which is a classic rustic dish of braised chicken, burgundy wine, pork fat, and garlic. While this can be an excellent dish, that was not the case here sadly. So much promise walking in as the walls are bare brick and the interior dim. It almost looks like you’ve walked into a rough basement bistro. My mother(not born in the US) describes American chicken as mushy and flavorless, and I imagine it has a lot to do with the way the animals are fattened on huge commercial farms. The Coq of Vin here falls victim to exactly what my mother described. It’s a shame that they couldn’t do anything better with it, but truly, it was flavorless and mushy. The potatoes however were well seasoned. While it’s important to praise the potatoes, you need to take pause and wonder why the potatoes are better than the chicken? Also, there is no hint of wine. I seriously wonder about this place…
