Mooyah

We have been waiting nearly 30 minutes for our order. Could have just stayed home and cooked dinner at this point. Nobody seems to be in any sort of hurry to do anything. Usually love this place.

Yes, Mooyah Burgers are great! Unfortunately, the service at this location today was not.
My child’s school hosted a fundraiser at this location today and they were understandably busy.
I ordered my family’s meal online to skip the wait. When picking up the food, they had not seen the order, which wasn’t a big deal since they agreed to host for a good cause.
It was the way the pick up line employee handled the situation; rude, dismissive, and appeared to be in a bad mood.
There was no apology nor was there was an explanation. She barked for us to wait and walked off to fulfill the orders. After 10 minutes, my husband asked for our beverages. The lady seemed annoyed and commanded a kid to grab it.
We also saw her barking orders in a frustrated, condescending manner towards the bus boy. This wasn’t towards us, but it just further coveyed how rude she could be.
When leaving, my husband checked our bags and noted that they didn’t ask if we wanted any condiments, nor provided any. When he went back to request for some, he asked a gentleman, albeit busy, was much more helpful and pleasant.
We like Mooyah burgers, but even if there is another fundraiser here, we won’t return to this location.

Okay, I added another star because although the cashier was rude, the food is sooooo good! All of the burgers and our sweet potato fries are on point!
Thank goodness there are a couple of other Mooyahs near my home! :)

I’ve added another star because after recently reviewing our responses from their store’s survey, the owner reached out to us to discuss our visit to her establishment. She listened to our grievances and shared with us that the cashier that night was a high school senior that is usually quite friendly and hard working. We must’ve just caught her on an off night and it really was very busy that day.
Considering her age, although rudeness isn’t something to be over looked, she sounds like a responsible teen and given the circumstances, the attitude could be understandable.
I appreciate that the business owner called us to listen to and address our concerns. It does take a lot of gumption to reach out to someone and express contrition.

We came to this location because we had a coupon for a BOGO burger, and the burger itself was fine, though the bun is a little too thick. I do like the wide range of toppings available, and the fries are delicious with a good amount of seasoning. I did think it was overpriced (with drinks and fries, our total was $ 17 even with the coupon.)
However, I had trouble enjoying my food because the restaurant was SO dirty. The windows were smeared and filthy, most of the tables were dirty, and the floor was covered in smeared dirt and pieces of food. And it’s not like they were busy at the time – it was 2 pm, and there were only three other customers in the restaurant. And when one of the employees finally did come out to clean, she picked our table to start sweeping beside first, which kicked up the filth while we were trying to eat. (She was very nice about it when we asked her to please wait until we were finished.)
I definitely wouldn’t come back to this Mooyah, though I’ve been to other locations that were well-​maintained and didn’t seem like they would give me some sort of filth-​based parasite.

Super friendly staff and such a amazing environment ! Always greeted with a smile and this place never fails to have my order correct and makes us feel really welcomed !

My burger was very good. I had built your own and I was surprised about how many free choices of vegetables you have.

These burgers are even tastier than In ‘N Out’s, and that’s a true compliment coming from a native Californian.

My Mooyah Burger with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and jalapeño was very tasty. The combination of flavors was great, even with no cheese. The fries were also good and having a ketchup bottle at each table was appreciated. The flimsy wheat bun that compressed too easily was the only negative. Free refills on drinks. No problems with the service when I visited.

This place is dirty, while waiting 20 min for my order (they were not busy) I watched a girl wipe her nose with the palm of her hand, I watched another girl come in from outside and start working making a shake without washing her hands, she also picked up the cup by touching the inside of the cup. The whole restaurant is just dirty, and there is no senses of urgency. They also forgot my avocado… again.

I’m glad the Austin and ami invited me out to dinner at mooyah! Being the 3^rd wheel was definitely worth the double burger and milkshake! Chyuh

This location when it first opened was a good place to eat. We went there last night and the place was a dirty mess. My wife’s burger was so under cooked blood and grease was running out of it. The lettuce on both of our burgers had brown spots all over it and the fry’s were so over cooked they were like wood sticks. With new management, some new employees that care, and a real good cleaning this place may be worth going to again. But until that happens we will not go back.

Cmon now! This is thr usual Mooyah Burger: friendly male employees, clean restaurant, abundant food portions and lastly, DELICIOUSNESS!
I always order the black bean burger and I can say, having eaten black bean burgers for 13 years, that this place has by far my favorite one! Huge portions both burger and fries alike. You just might as well always get a Small. Even if you think you’re super hungry and want to get a Medium. Or even if you have another person you’re sharing with and you’re both really hungry, just get the Small. It’s as if the employees don’t actually measure what they give you. They just shovel it in until the bag drips of fries.

I ordered a hotdog and to be honest I did not like it. I can not remember the last time I did not like a hotdog. I did like the flavored ice tea though. It was also very cold in the dining room. I don’t think I will be back.

Don’t waste your time. I’d rather eat a Whopper at BK. Left feeling unsatisfied. Prices are ok. Just not a very good burger.

Burgers are good. Fries not so much. Services is ok. The food is a bit pricey for what you get.

First off, I have been to several Mooyah locations around DFW and this one really disappoints. I am already paying for pricey burger and fries, so please do not stiff me on my veggies! My burger was not fully loaded and it seemed to get worse with every visit. I will not be going back.

I really hate to leave a bad review for this place. I went there on Saturday and the place was a mess! The wall that the kids can draw on was dirty and the wall paper is coming up and is disgusting. There were three other families in there eating and 7 people working behind the counter. You would think they could send one kid out the clean/​bus the tables.
There is nothing wrong with the food, it was very tasty as usual and the portions were large like they always are. Its just hard to enjoy your food when when you look around and the tables are dirty and everything look so sticky. It makes you think if the front is like this then how does the back look where you food is.

First confession: I dropped my burger after eating half of it, so I didn’t get to eat as much of it as I would like. My immense sadness with the fallen burger goes to show what good burgers they are. The shake was also the best I have had in a long time. I asked for double flavors, and they were very accommodating. The shake also had an extra two inches of mix-​ins to enjoy at the bottom when I was done eating!
However, the other reviews are completely correct regarding the unbelievably long wait times. It took 20 minutes for two to-​go burgers to be made when there were only 5 other people there the entire time we were. If you’re willing to hang around, it’s worth it for the price range ($ 6-​$ 9 burgers)

Great burgers, tons of fries, and love the selection of toppings for your burgers. My kids love the shakes. Overall great place.
Only complaint is that it does take a log time for your order, eating in or ordering online.

This place is always busy. It can take a lengthy amount of time to get your order since it is all made to order. Order ahead of time and skip the wait. They also have a really easy to use app.
I love the selection of choices to put on my burger. I order my burger medium and it is always perfect. The staff is friendly and curious. My only complaint is many times I’ve gone in the tables are not bussed.

I recommend going to the Mooyah on El Dorado over this location, I tried to go into this one and was met by some less than friendly service. For having another location about 3.5 miles away, I actually left because I was sick of waiting and watching the negative customer service. I’m sure the food is just as delicious as the one on El Dorado but I’m not sure it’s worth the less than stellar experience. Management might want to take note from the service level at the other location.
