It’s not often you’ll see a 5 star review for a chain restaurant but in this case it’s well deserved. Jennifer the manager and her team have really made this IHOP a great AND dependable place to eat. We do a lot of ‘take out’ orders and each and every time our order is perfect and complete in every way. So when you’re in the mood for a munch after dark, check Jennifer and the team at IHOP.

I have been going to this IHOP for the past couple of weeks and have had one problem after another. I kept going because it is the only IHOP on my way home from a LONG night at work. I always order to go because I want to eat my breakfast in my jammies at home. The first time I went my food was perfect, the second time my strawberry syrup spilled all over my food. Third time my food was cold and rubbery. So I get a coupon via email for free pancakes. I go in today to get my free pancakes along with some eggs and bacon. I am get ready to place my order to go like I always do. The server knows who I am and said the coupon was for dining in only. Needless to say I worked all night and did not want to sit in my dirty scrubs to eat breakfast. I asked if I could get an exception considering I am in there all the time ordering to go. Manager said no. Really?! You say no to a frequent customer? So that just means I will take my breakfast cravings elsewhere. So long IHOP, you just let down a frequent customer and lost her hard earned dollars.

I love IHOP. The omelets are the best. My daughter loves the pancakes. Love that they leave the coffee at the table. More restaurants should do that.

It’s an IHOP. I mean, that in itself should be a review. I personally believe they have the best pancakes on the planet, but they are pricey. If you want over easy eggs, I’d order over medium simply because if you order over easy they come REALLY raw. Over easy should be a little runny, but also cooked some. I’ve found through trial and error that over medium equals over easy here and over hard equals over medium. When in doubt just get scrambled though. Service here is always much better than the Frisco one, and I’m always offered a drink to go. As usual, get there early before the rush!

I want to clarify that the food and service was adequate. I’m giving one star for the attitude of the corporation. Trying to watch calories, I wanted English muffin instead of pancakes. Toast is simply boring. I asked the waitress for English muffin; she said they no longer had English muffin. My jaw dropped. What breakfast place doesn’t serve English muffin? On the bill was a number to call for concerns. I called and spoke to a guy named Ernie at their corporate office for North Texas. He seemed about as concerned and sympathetic as one of their soggy pancakes. He said the corporation removed English muffins from the menu«because the product was not moving very fast.» What these large corporations don’t seem to get is that it is better to lose a few pennies here and there and keep all of your customers happy, rather than lose your customers. They lost me. I told Ernie that I would probably just go on to Denny’s from now on. He said, «Yep, you do that.» That attitude demonstrated to me unequivocally that IHOP doesn’t care about any of us. They only care about holding onto every penny that they can. I think that there is such a thing as too big not to fail.

IHOP is your regular, run-of-the-mill breakfast chain. Prices are fair, food is pretty good, and let’s face it… we have all been to this place and it’s not necessarily an «extraordinary» place… so why do I keep coming back! Well, this location is a winner. The food is always fresh and amazing, and the staff is so friendly! It really makes the difference for me. Yeah, IHOP is IHOP, but it is something about the vibe and the fact that this place doesn’t give the sub-standard service many places of its caliber give. I have had quite a few friendly conversations with hostesses and waiters, and it just feels like a cozy place. I come here with my kids and I always feel like they are welcome(and you moms know how important that is!). I am always pleased that any special requests are met with a smile and carried out wonderfully. For instance, I like my steak medium and many chain places have a hard time cooking it properly, but this place definitely did not disappoint! If you are looking for a fresh pancake or omelet, and don’t need gourmet, stop on by!

I have to say, the cooks at this location know how to do breakfast the right way. Its not to say that IHOP in general isn’t great, but they really need to pay their chefs better here because the eggs and pancakes just are tastier for some reason.

My friends and i frequent this place, and there are definite pros and cons. There are some excellent servers who offer us free refills or coffee that are very nice and make the experience great every time and keeps us coming back. Even when we come in bug groups. However, if you get certain other servers they can be the worst people ever. If you come in a group of teenagers or young people, they assume you are idiots that have no idea how to behave, no matter how quiet you all are. They roll their eyes when a big group comes in and it makes you want to walk out. The food is hit or miss. On slow nights, the food is awesome but if you come on a busy day its rushed and undercooked. However, I will always continue to come back to this place.

We called in an order tonight to make our wait. time go faster and smoother. Welp. Epic fail. As we got there everyone went on a simultaneous smoke break. When they came back in, we initially thought their greetings and. smiles were amazing customer service, later to only find out they were flirting. We waited on our pick up for at least 30 minutes. Sitting in the lobby while they poorly handled all of the patrons. They are easily distracted so that made it very hard for. them to juggle the. customers needs. Someone brought our food to the front and. just placed it on the counter and walked away… no words. We watched as this bag sat there for 10 minutes while they checked other people out. Finally someone asked what we had, then. dug through the. bag to matched. Awful experience. Attempting to save time by calling ahead proved worthless.

I had a really nice time at ihop with the family. Melony was such a sweet woman, she checked on us at appropriate times, she was so sweet and fulfilled all our needs. You can tell she likes her job and I’m glad for her. The food tasted like typical Ihop. It was ok. It is busy on the weekends, so get there on time or you have to wait. Overall not a bad place

Honestly not really happy with this IHOP location. I always have coffee, but for the last 6 months or so the coffee tastes like a brick. No matter how many times they insist it’s fresh it tastes just like a brick. I really do think their coffee machines are not cleaned nearly as much as they’d like you to believe. I find it even harder to believe they’re properly cleaned because I’m in an IHOP in Allen right now and the coffee is just fine. This is my only complaint. The service and food is generally always good.

Service was not that great for being slow and only two other tables were being waited on. Never got a refill of my drink. I had the brioche French toast which tasted like bread and not cooked was okay but nothing to write home about.

BEWARE! I ate at this IHOP back in 2008 when I was visiting family from California in Houston and we came up to Mckinney to evacuate and visit with family there due to Hurricane Ike. We were staying in an extended stay hotel while we were up there. We probably ate here twice during that week. On one of the occasions that we ate here, approximately 15 – 20 minutes after, I was VIOLENTLY ill. I could not stop vomiting. The ONLY place we had eaten that day was at IHOP. I wasn’t able to cook any meals for myself, therefore, I know I became sick here… or at least now I know. I had to be hospitalized because of the problem and my white blood count was insanely high(which indicates I had food poisoning and not any type of flu or virus). I know this review has taken some time to hit here, 2008 was obviously a long time ago, but I still get queasy every time I so much as look at the IHOP sign, so I decided to do a little research and try to figure out which location it was(again, I wasn’t driving and I came from out of state). Eat here at your own risk. That was the sickest I have EVER been in my LIFE and to top it off, I had a one year old to take care of at the time. It was a complete nightmare. Oh and just to add to the review, I just looked under the reviews not recommended section. A girl named April B. stated that her eggs looked undercooked. That’s because they are. That is exactly what made me so sick. If you think they are undercooked, SENDTHEMBACK!!! Better yet, just don’t eat here.

It’s normal IHOP food. Our server was fast and friendly. The food came out quickly. The only drawback is everytime we go it is very cold in the resteauant. Bring a sweater.

I don’t go to IHOP often, but when I do, I feel like a little kid. Pancakes, French toast and scrambled eggs! All the things I got excited for when I was a kid. I got the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs and it was pretty good. Being that I’m greedy, I also had French toast… and pancakes… don’t judge me. ;-)

We eat at IHOP a lot and we are now at IHOP for breakfast for Father’s Day and just found out that they changed there menu totally and they don’t have their combo breakfast meals any more. So now you have to by each side separate, what used to cost about $ 8 dollars, now it cost’s about $ 12 dollars for a meal, a 4 dollar increase. This is such a total rip off, so as you can guess I won’t be eating at IHOP anymore.

IHOP is an oldie but a goodie. It’s definitely not high class food, but it’s kind of like that old stuffed animal you just can’t throw away because it’s sad little eyes keep staring up at you and reminding you of all the good times you had with Mr. Bunny, like… well, err, enough of that. It’s got every breakfast staple you could think of, and if you’re not wanting to get caught by the food-elitists sitting at a table you can order ahead and pick it up in your trenchcoat and glasses and I won’t tell anyone. After all, the rooty tooty fresh n’ fruity is calling your name, and this time make it a triple stack.
