We visited the new location for the first time last night to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant is beautiful, service is friendly(especially Lydia — she is so warm and welcoming) and efficient, and the food is superb! We had the diver scallops as an appetizer — buttery and delicious, best we’ve had. We had the ribeye and sea bass entrees — both were delicious, but the sea bass was one of the best bites of food I’ve ever put in my mouth. Our waiter also suggested a great Cabernet and Chardonnay(white burgundy per the menu) that accompanied our entrees perfectly. We finished our meal with Gregory’s caramel bread pudding, which was equally delicious and the perfect end to a fabulous meal. We weren’t quite hungry enough for the four-course wine pairing dinner but can’t wait to go back and try it. We’re so lucky to have this gem in McKinney — go, you won’t regret it!

My wife and I were there Friday night to celebrate a special event. It was the perfect choice. This was our first visit to the new location. We shared the scallop appetizer, my wife had the Sea Bass and I had the chop. All were to die for. Chocolate cake was shared for desert. We were seated on the window and enjoyed the view of a wedding at the chapel across from us. A perfect meal, a perfect night. Well worth the price for any special occasion. We will return!

This beautifully decorated Parisian eatery is nestled in the Adriatic Village. You really have to be looking for it and know where it is to find it. It’s on the backside of the parking garage. If you are going on the weekend make a reservation. When I called I got the last available reservation for Saturday night. Also ask to sit by the window. It has a beautiful view of the lake. Inside it looks like you stepped into Paris. It has white ash wood tables and chairs and light bright walls. With splashes of color from the fresh flowers. My hubby and I were celebrating our anniversary so we felt adventurous and got the chef’s special and the wine pairings. This is when the chef prepares a four course meal and pairs a wine with each course. Now, I am a total foody and will eat anything. My hubby is so very picky so I was afraid for him, but we told Anthony our waiter, and he relayed our concern to the chef. We started with seared tuna topped with a lobster butter sauce. The tuna was so tender it melted in my mouth like«butta»! It was paired with a rose’ champagne. Then we were served a grilled romain Caesar salad, paired with a Sauvignon blanc. I love that the dressing was light and not dense like most Caesar dressings. Our next course was a rack of lamb with lobster risotto. Now, it’s been ten years since I’ve been to Italy and that’s the last time I had an amazing risotto. This matched the texture and creaminess to the authentic Italian risotto I was served years before. I think the risotto was the highlight of my meal, but I was just giddy to taste an amazing risotto again. The lamb was cooked to perfection and once again melted in my moth like«butta»! This was paired with an amazing Malbec. The last course was crème brûlée and bread pudding. I’m not a bread pudding fan, but this one I would eat again. I like my crème brûlée served warm and this one was cold. Since we had no idea what we would be served it, then I would have made that request ahead of time that it be served warm. This was paired with a port. It was an outstanding meal to celebrate our love!

The new location is gorgeous! super convenient to park in the garage and walk a few feet to the door. beautiful views of the Adriatica lake from every table. Lydia did a fabulous job decorating. and you can see Gregory in the kitchen now! The food and service is as impeccable as always. We ordered the lamb(again) and the sea bass too. omg. if I had to choose btw those two — I couldn’t! delightful. and we had the bread pudding for dessert. there is no better dessert on the planet. they serve it crispy on the outside, gooey inside. smothered in whiskey sauce. w/a huge dollop of real whipped cream as the crowning glory. add a cappuccino to it and you might cry…

Just as predictably amazing as I anticipated! Gregory’s is one of my favorite restaurants in DFW area. Nothing on the menu is a disappointment. My husband and I have been devoted customers since Gregory’s was originally located near McKinney Square. The new location is not as quaint, but we certainly have better luck at scoring reservations(which were almost impossible at the other location). A nice touch is their live piano music on Fridays and Saturdays. This is a place I could easily dine at every Saturday night. Love it!!!

Thanks Gregory and Lydia. It’s being 6 years without seeing you guys. The new space is clean, peaceful and beautiful. Food was outstanding as usual and this open kitchen is a must. Will come back again each time I visit Dallas from NY. Service is also a plus!!! I wish you the best. Mikel

Just had dinner at their new location in Adriatica, and it was fabulous! Love the light, airy look. As usual, they made us feel like welcomed, dear friends. We tasted the duck confit, so delicious! I might want to have it as entrée next time. Husband had tuna; very generous serving, and prepared perfectly! I had the pork chop, and not exaggerating– the most tender pork I have ever eaten! We finished with the chocolate cake, a huge serving that we shared and still couldnt finish! I need to return soon

My husband and I spent our anniversary having the most exquisite meal either of us have ever eaten, at Gregory’s Bistro. A gift from my father in law we were served the«Chefs Choice». Our four course meal was like nothing we hve ever experienced in dining before. I ca not wait for our anniversary to get here in April so we can go back . Amber T.

The food is always consistent and great along with the service. Miss the byob. Want to pair great wine with great food. Be in soon to try new locations. We think so much of the food we buy gift cards for our clients because we know they will be happy with everything.

I hope the new place replicates the feeling and ambiance of the old location. I understand they had to move, since it was super small and very few tables. The small environment gave it a very personal cozy touch and felt like you were actually in Europe. The food is/was outrageously awesome. Can’t wait until they open again, to check out the new place.

I am excited to learn that Gregory’s Bistro will be moving to the Adriatica in McKinney and reopening November 2015. Since my birthday is in November, I want to be one of their first customers at their new location. Although disappointed that they moved from downtown McKinney to Mitas Hill Winery(plus no longer being BYOB) earlier this year, my friends and I decided to venture out last August and pay them a visit. While Gregory’s food and service were as awesome as I remember, the quality(or lack thereof) of the Mitas Hill wine was a different story. When I am dining at a 5-star restaurant, I want 5-star wine to accompany my meal. So, I am hoping that they will return to BYOB or at least offer a better selection of wine(they previously had no choice but to serve Mitas Hill wine). Great move, Gregory & Lydia … you rock!
