Cristine from Catering is awesome… so sweet and very efficient. Went above and beyond for me. I really appreciate it.

Went here the other day, got the same waitress(her name slips my mind… I’m always bad at names: P). I ordered some fajita tacos this time, they were great with good toppings and flavor. Chips and salsa were as good as last time. Can’t quite put my finger on it, weather it’s the great service or something else, but this place is great and quickly becoming one of my favorite Mexican places in Dallas.

Quite possibly the worst restaurant I’ve been to in years. This establishment should be absolutely ashamed of the quality of food and service. Please note that I do NOT give out 1 star ratings for a single bad waiter, as many Unilocalers seem to do, but my rating is primarily a reflection of the food and drink. I will start out by talking about the service, which was worse than you’ll get at a Taco Bell. Less than 25% of the tables were full and there were at least half a dozen waiters roaming the restaurant at 7pm on a Tuesday but we weren’t able to get a server to our table for a good 10 minutes. When we did finally get a waiter, he was not apologetic or attentive by any means. We remained friendly and cool headed as we weren’t in any sort of rush. Drink orders taken. After another several minutes without drinks, the female manager notices we’re not being taken care of and she offers to take our food order. She then proceeds to sit down at the table behind us chatting with a couple of regulars for 5 – 10 minutes. No wonder service is slow if their spare staff are able to hang out and chit chat idly. The strawberry margarita I ordered 10 minutes ago finally arrives and it’s…on the rocks. Who orders a strawberry margarita on the rocks? It’s also not even in the proper glass. The waiter did not ask and I did not specify, certainly did not think I needed to. Not willing to wait another 10 minutes for a drink, I changed my drink order to a soda just to have something in front of me at a reasonable amount of time. The only service that WAS quick, was that from the chip guy. The chip guy made several visits making sure everything he was serving, was full. Good for him. 1⁄5 stars for our waiter. 2⁄5 stars for the manager. 5⁄5 stars for the chip guy. 4⁄5 for the hostess. Let’s talk food. Unfortunately my review is only going to get worse. The chips and salsa are far and above the worst I’ve had in the DFW area. The salsa looks and tastes like a can of tomatoes. There is absolutely no flavor, no spice, no heat, Pace salsa would be better. It was so inedible, we both immediately pushed the salsa away and would not eat another bite. The chips came out cold, both times… so clearly they are not fresh or heated in any way. We ordered some queso since we weren’t touching the salsa. They brought us out a bowl of what tasted like melted velveeta with a tiny bit of rotel. No, I take that back. Velveeta would have been better than the awful overprocessed yellow sauce we got. Two chips with that(which had absolutely zero spice as well) and I was done with the chips altogether. Fajitas were not an improvement. The fajita plate did come out mildly sizzling but had an odd smell to it. Sort of like Taco Cabana’s fajitas. Almost like the meat had just been microwaved and the vegetables had definitely been pre-sliced hours or days before. No cheese comes with the fajitas, but I’m not sure that would have improved them. The tortillas were decent enough, so I ended up eating one or two of them plain simply so I wouldn’t go home from a restaurant hungry. Hard to screw up a fresh flour tortilla and that’s at least one thing that this place got right. I wouldn’t even go back to this place if the food were free. The prices are typical for a tex mex place but once you taste the quality of the food, you’ll agree with me that they’re far too high. Taco Cabana has better food and I don’t even like Taco Cabana. Service: 1⁄5 Ambiance: 2.5÷5 Food: 1⁄5 Price: 2⁄5

Hi, I usually find the food good but today I decided to try something new. Ordered the Mexican Shrimp Cocktail. Nice amount of shrimp very little avocado and a sweetness(not spicy) that i told my friend tasted like Catchup. Too much sweet sauce. Upon asking the waiter why the sauce was sweet instead of spicy, he told me they make the sauce for this dish with catchup. Not good!!! I think being a Mexican Restaurant they should definitely change this dish.

There is one thing clear here. This is tex-mex. No mexican would eat here and be happy. Have you ever sat down in a mexican restaurant and then took your first bite of chip and salsa and regret your entire decision on what you are doing there? I did here. My wife and I are from Southern California and just arrived in Texas. Following good reviews on Unilocal we were positive we could find good mexican food close to our home, you Unilocalers led us astray. The chips and salsa were terrible. Food choice was awful. Tried the cheap route and still almost spent 40 bucks. Disappointment was a cast understatement. Will not be going back even if it was free. They need to advertise as Tex-mex and not fine mexican

I went to Christina’s for an early birthday lunch with some family and we had never dined there before. We had an amazing server by the name of Ivan, the food was amazing and it was a perfect environment. We will defiantly be going back!

Call it what it is: Chuckle Cheese of Mexican food. From the greasy slime on the bench, to the 3.5 kids per table. Your experience is being defined by the all you can eat crowd. The guacamole was bland and lifeless. The chips? Not sure yet, but some analogy that involves white bread is a good place to start. The steak fajitas where mindlessly bland, tough and void of any redeeming value. And why did it take 12 minutes to get a shot of Patron to add to the margarita that was missing the key ingredient to begin with. If stuffing your face with cheesy nachos and assorted Holiday Inn«happy hour» quality food is what you are looking for, grab the kids and head on down.

Had not been here in sometime and thought I would give it a try. First the service was excellent. The chips and salsa were among the best I have had anywhere. All the food was great, especially the re-fried beans, very creamy. I will put Christina’s on my favorite list for Tex Mex.

We come here often, but only on Mondays and Tuesdays. I have two kids, and they can BOTH eat free all day on those days with just one adult entrée. So it’s cheap, service is always pretty decent and the food is ok. It’s nothing to rave about, but for ten bucks three of us eat lunch.

We really like this place BUT hate the fact that the manager who is typically sight unseen seems to decide whether or not the patio should be open. It has happened multiple times here. Today it’s 97 and beautiful. I think the paying customers should decide what’s comfortable. On days like today they lose biz. We’ll go elsewhere.

BF and I usually come here when we feel lazy and don’t want to go Chuy’s. I usually get the chicken flautas and those are pretty good but not Chuy’s good. BF gets this sizzling plate with different meats and such. A little expensive but it’s very much worth it. The salsa and chips are pretty good but avoid the queso. No flavor whats so ever. Service is aways good at least.

We had our rehearsal dinner at Cristina’s. The staff was awesome, and the food was delicious! Even though it was a Wednesday night, which is really busy for them, they allowed us to have several large tables pushed together(since it was cold outside and didn’t want to use the patio). We really enjoyed ourselves.

Great place to eat. It is one of our go to Tex Mex joints! I love their street tacos. Their happy hour rocks. Awesome huge strawberry margaritas.

Good food, not the most authentic. But it’s pretty good for Texas Mexican. Service was good and very busy place.

The food was pretty good, but not my total favorite place. I did really like the salsa and the margaritas are good and strong. I had the beef fajita nachos and they were just ok… I like bigger chunks of steak on mine and these were just little nibbles. My husband LOVED his enchiladas, so I will probably try those next time. We probably will be back.

Terrible service and poor attitudes. Food is okay. Would not recommend this place. Not sure what else to say… Little on the short side?

Cristina’s is my go-to restaurant when I’m in McKinney and craving Mexican food. Let me just start by saying their salsa is AMAZING!!! My friend used to work here, and I would ask her to bring home salsa in a huge tub on a weekly basis. It’s THAT addicting. When I come here, I usually just eat the chips and salsa, order the queso mexicano that comes with ground beef, tomatoes, and jalapeños, and get a drink. I’m not usually a tequila fan, but their house margarita is delicious. I’ve only tried a couple of entrees– the chicken enchiladas and the flautas. They’re yummy, but you can’t really mess those meals up. Although every plate I’ve seen there looks good, I personally like coming to Cristina’s to snack on some appetizers and get drinks. You won’t be disappointed!

So because of all of the good reviews we stopped in to enjoy some Mexican food. At first the place looked to be a clean Mexican restaurant. Chips were STALE like 3 days old setting out. Salsa was good, ordered a bowl Of cheese. GROSE. Food came out and was disgusting, I ordered the Flathus, they were burnt! The rice was like Chinese sticky rice with beef grease on it, completely in edible! I was pissed, I complained all she did was take my food than charged me full price for it! This place sucks!!! Must pay for reviews!
