Tasty burger. I had the burger with the onion ring and cheddar cheese. Really good. As other people have stated«a lot of fries in the small fry» I would rather have less fries and pay a little less. The meal as a whole is a little expensive but the quality(including the fries) is worth it. I will definitely return next time I am in the area.

Tried Twisted Burger for the first time tonight. Hubby had the Tedburger and I had the Chicken Pesto(yum) sandwich. Both were DElish! But what really made our visit extremely special and enjoyable was the exceptional service. John and Perla were SO professional and engaging that I just had to ask their names for this posting. The special attention they gave us is what will bring us again.

We stopped in for lunch today. Service was fast and friendly. I ordered the California chicken club loved this, also ordered the Parmesan fries not so good. The Parmesan fries were soggy and too strong. My husband ordered Italian beef and was not thrilled to greasy. Doubt we will be back

Top three favorite burger places in the Chicago area. Plus there’s one in Wauconda too(Bulldogs — same owners). So many choices — it’s amazing. Fresh ingredients, huge basket of fries(small), milkshakes, wraps are great too. Burgers are SOGOOD! Don’t wait, eat there today! It’s not overpriced for what you get — maybe folks that live in McHenry don’t realize what they have up there!

I am going to agree with Chris G… this place was not worth the time or a percentage of the cost… the ones leaving 5 star remarks, I have to say do not understand good food. Sorry everyone who like this place.

Good burger, fries are the bomb! Service is a little slow when they get busy. Seems like they have trouble sometimes keeping up. Other then the longer wait it was really tastey!

Love this place. The burgers are delicious, service is excellent and the variety of choices is amazing! You could easily eat here every day and not have tried all of their burgers! If you like inventive and unusual toppings on your burger, this is the place!

Best way I can describe this place is its a bit over priced for the quality of what you get, but you do get a lot of it for the price so that might make up for it to some people. Over all its not bad but I was hoping for more. When me and my girlfriend went it was soon after they first opened and it was a bit busy but it took waaay too long for us to get our order considering it was just 2 burgers and a basket of fries. We waited for close to 30 minutes. May have been due to them just having opened and it being busy but this was still a major reason I have not been back since besides the over all quality of the food being meh for the prices they charge. I plan on going back to see if they have improved.

Being a vegetarian it’s hard to sometimes find a good veggie burger. These guys nailed it! The taste is superb and service fast and friendly! !!

This place isn’t bad for a McHenry burger joint. I’ve been here twice getting a burger the first time, and a wrap the second. Both times I(of course) got the fresh cut fries drenched in cheese sauce. The burger and the wrap was good — I wouldn’t say outstanding, but realistically, I have no complaints. I love me some fresh cut fries, though I do wish they were crispier. Both times they were quite soggy, bringing my five stars down to a four. You gotta soak those puppies in water to drain the starches — That will help a LOT with the sogginess. Double frying them would be a huge plus too, but I know that can get time consuming. All in all, I would recommend this place if you’re out and about in McHenry. They have a large menu to choose from, the portions are large, and the prices are fair.

The service was out standing. The cashier save me money on my order when he could have let me order everything separately. The mac attack burger was pretty good. The mac could have been better, but the burger was excellent. The garlic parmesan fries were on point! If i lived closer to it i would come back often.

We were just passing through and found this place on Unilocal so stopped to try it. The food is ok — their ground beef seems pretty cheap. Seems like a burger joint outta spring for the good stuff if that’s your mainstay, especially when charging $ 7-$ 9 for a burger. Its still probably one of the better choices around this area. Not much else nearby for burgers. The fries are really good. My biggest issue here is their seating. They have those prefab booths with the table and both bench seats all welded together. Now I’m a little on the heavy side but these booths probably won’t accomodate anyone over about 220. It was tight! There were only 2 tables that were regular tables and chairs and of course they were already occupied. If you really like burgers than you’ll probably like this. It just didn’t do it for me. There are some good Mexican and Thai food alternatives nearby.

Not Delicious! Everything here is not great! It is Tex-Mex so you can find Mex stuff. Burgers are monster sized, like in Texas! Fries are huge servings, a small feeds 2 – 3 people easily! But burgers can’t base a whole restaurant! The place is crowded with signs, with makes my kid uncomfortable. So the place is by the river/creek and it is swarming with bugs outside, which makes for West Nile Virus. Another problem, it is a run down building! It used to be a Mexican restaurant that closed. The entrance and exit signs are broken, probably because a car crashed straight into them. So, I finally have the courage to walk inside. The first thing I noticed that the place wasn’t air conditioned. It is so hot in there! They didn’t say welcome to Twisted Burger, how may we help you? I just had to walk up to the counter and ask for a menu. Then I sat at a table. I decided with American Burger. I had ketchup, mustard, lettuce, onion, tomato and mayo. The burger wasn’t done all of the way like I had asked for. I definitely didn’t love it. All in all this place isn’t great, just letting you know that. The food isn’t really great. So I recommend unless you can stand all of this, you don’t go here.

The name Twisted Burger brought back lovely memories of an establishment we have in Texas named Twisted Root Burger. This isn’t Twisted Root Burger. Sadly. I decided to grab a Mac Attack, because for some reason I always think Macaroni sounds good on a burger. That may be a personal problem, we won’t get into that. Anyways, I had the Mac Attack and a small fry. On the plus side, the small fries were anything but small. They could easily feed two people, potentially three if you have a kiddo or one who doesn’t eat much. On the flip side, the fries were kind of bland. I had to throw an unhealthy amount of salt on them to get some flavor. I wouldn’t advise it. Hopefully they’ll just throw some more seasoning on them next time. The Mac Attack was… meh. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t really good either. The burger is very juicy, which is great. It just doesn’t pack much flavor. And when we’re talking about a burger, bacon and macaroni, I’m expecting a Mike Tyson-esque punch of flavor. The buns were soft but not soggy, which is a good sign. But I kind of found myself searching for good things to say. I will say that the staff was very friendly and knew the product well. All in all, we got two burgers, two drinks and a(not so) small fry. We spent a little over $ 20. I don’t know that it was worth the money but it was worth a try.

I am not much of a beef eater, but for lunch on Saturday afternoon my pregnant self had a taste for a burger, and not a fast food/chain burger. My hubby and I split the superman burger and a small fry. The burger was still too big for us to finish! It was juicy, cheesy and had amazing flavor. The fries were great, crispy with skins on. The cheese sauce for the fries was a little watered down and still doesn’t compare to Portillo’s cheese. We will def be back to try other burgers and can’t wait to try the pulled pork nachos. The menu is huge, and so much variety from a south of the border section, wraps, salads, burgers and sides. Wish we lived closer so we could go more often, but will definitely be back(and soon).

Pricey, but good! For 4 burgers and large fries, it came to about $ 30. The burgers cooked flat — you won’t be asked for rare, medium rare, etc. I’ve compared them to a better alternative to McDonald’s(I mean that as a compliment!) since their burgers(without toppings) are similar and the buns are soft. The fries aren’t the greatest; I would suggest skipping them unless you really, really have to have fries. They’re soft and aren’t super yummy looking. The taste is okay. They have a vast selection of burgers, but personally, I’d rather see a menu of toppings/add-ons rather than have to read each entry to figure out what a «California Burger» is. I would return, but probably not too often since they’re pretty expensive.

$ 14.00 for a double cheese, small fries & small drink. The burger patties are claimed to be 8 oz. and the small fries is good for 3 people. It is still overpriced in my opinion. The burgers are bland, it needs to be seasoned in the grill even with just salt and pepper. The place is small with about 10 tables so with the lunch rush getting a table is a hit or miss. I will give it another try with a different burger next time and my family so we can finish the fries.

Overpriced, very bland burgers. Its great that they have exciting toppings on their burgers but no seasoning still means no flavor. Bulldog burger which has the same menu is much better. Had really high hopes, next time I’ll drive the little extra to bulldog burger

It seems that this place is relying too much on its atmosphere and not enough on its food. I’ll admit that the sign and the décor are cool, but the burgers are certainly not enough to base a restaurant on. I went with my family tonight. It’s a strange system. You walk in, they offer you a menu at the counter, you sit down at a table to decide what you want, then you come back to the counter to order. I got the parrilla(I think) wrap with steak, corn salsa, chipotle mayo, guac, lettuce, and tomato. It didn’t have a ton of flavor, and the steak had lots of gristle. I didn’t love it. None of the burger prices include fries. You have to buy them separately. Most of the burgers are more than $ 7, so a whole meal runs you about $ 11. For essentially a fast food place, it seems a bit steep. The fries we got weren’t amazing. Not much flavor or crunch. On top of that, the staff wasn’t super friendly. It was all teenagers who were just kind of goofing off around the counter. That’s fine with me, but remember to give the customers your full attention when taking their order — they didn’t put mine in the computer correctly, so it didn’t come out with the others. Overall, not a great experience. I probably won’t come back for a mediocre burger at a price over $ 10 a meal.
