My daughter found a wonderful deal on an almost new sofa w/​2 recliners. It was heavy as all heck but in perfect condition. Top quality items at this store.

They seem to do a good job filtering out the lower quality stuff. I asked about haggling, but the stern-​worker-​in-​charge said maybe for high ticket items like furniture, but definitely not clothes. With misses tops at $ 8 and up, I couldn’t afford as many pieces as I would have liked. I mean any higher with their prices & they’d be competing with Kohl’s clearance prices. Good Shepherd’s The Pink Door resale shop is right across the street, so that’s a convenient stop, although I don’t think they have as much misses-​sized clothing.

The place is kept clean and orderly. Like any other thrift shop, you never know if will be your lucky shopping day or not, however this is one of my go to stores in the area. I recommend stopping in if you get the chance.

They aren’t very kind here, well at least the Assistant manger isn’t when it comes to check in offers. A measly 10% off offer for something that is $ 4 bux to begin with is apparently a big NO! NO! according to the management of this place. Its alright for the store it is but seriously if you want to attract your patrons, Don’t chase them away with matters out of their hands like a Unilocal check in offer that could infact boost your business. Be nice and grateful you have customers willing to make a purchase at your location, Lord only knows there are a billion other thrift stores with a way better selection of items as well as proper etiquette for an Assistant Manager to treat a customer with out displaying hostility. You lost one here.

Sue the assistant manager here just barked my head off about a check in offer I tried to use! I love this thrift store and frequent it quite often with my mother so I’m leaving that extra star there just for that!
BUT WOW was this woman aggressive! I informed her she should probably straighten this out with Unilocal seeing as how it upset her so much that I asked if I could use it… Everyone BEWARE OF SUE, horrible customer service!!!

A wonderful find! I took my daughter prom dress hunting and found the best selection here. She got a beautiful red princess dress and I found a silk suitdress. The manager and staff and all the customers were friendly, like going shopping with girlfriends. Very clean and well organized. We believe in supporting thrift shops that support a cause and this is our favorite store!

A great thrift shop and a wonderful organization. The McHenry location seems to be a bit bigger than the Woodstock location. I always seem to have luck finding items here… clothes, books, household, decorative items… They always have a great variety of items and are well supported by the community.
