Paulk Outdoors

This company continued throughout the summer 2015 to give me poor service with my property. They did not weed, prune, left small limbs and debris in my yard that they supposedly were to pick up per the contract, and missed several places where the grass was not cut or the mower blades were dull. My rocky areas in my ditch were not sprayed for weeds, but one time, then had to request for them to do it this last time, which there were minimal weeds to kill the second go around, and they could have simply taken care of it. The lawn guy ran over our mat in front of our home this summer and they had to have it replaced. Last summer one of their lawn guy that was fired actually fried areas in front of our flower beds and around a tree and bush, which they had to come out and replace with new grass. While they took care of those problems, whenever I complained to Garden Guys in Mcdonough about the lawn issues, this year of weeds, trimming, missed areas, etc. this summer all I was told is «Ok we will fix it.» I thought, oh ok, they’ll send someone out immediately to fix the problems. Wrong. I thought maybe they would send a manager to see the discrepancies, «Never happened this summer.» They failed to send any manager to take a look at their lawn guys work when I made complaints about the weeds, trimming, etc., and we still have weeds in our flower beds and areas missed buy the lawn guys. I even sent them pictures of the problem areas. The problems unfortunately were not fixed even though we paid for it. In our contract ant control was in there, unfortunately they never took care of the ants either. My 3 bushes were not maintained/​trimmed like they should have been either, had to actually go ask them to do it, which is in the contract for them to do. Why should we have to ask, should be done automatically per contract. At the end, this year they jacked up my rate to $ 190.00 per cut, when last year it was $ 75.00. I honored my side of the contract, but unfortunately this Summer, Grounds Guys let me down big time with their quality. They did a great job during the first few cuts last Summer when we hired them, but after that, hang it up. Aggravating to get them to do the work properly. I would have escaped from them earlier, but was in the contract and I was hoping that they would improve. Completely appreciate them charging me 2 ½ times what I paid last year, from $ 75.00 to now $ 190.00, made my decision a lot easier to find «Quality» lawn company that matched their pricing and offers the same services. If the new company simply does the lawn work of weed control, prune, trim bushes, I will stay with them for years. Grounds Guys, «Guys» caused them the problems at my home, not me the homeowner, however, corporate came down on me the customer. Why would I pay $ 190.00 for poor service?

Paulk outdoors did our Christmas lights this year. I saw their site on the internet and called to set up an appointment. I spoke with a representative who explained the whole process, showed us pictures of other clients, and gave us design help, and several options to choose from. They were out in a couple of days installing, done in a few hours, and our house was beautifully lit up that night. There were a couple of bulb issues, but I called and they came out that day and took care of it.
We will be using Paulk outdoors for our holiday lights from now on. You can’t beat the professional look, and great service.
