Nail Studio II

I have been going to this salon for over a year and think the salon is clean and sanitary. They do a great job with my french tip acrylic nails as well as pedicures. The employees are very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend:)

After talking to a coworker about where she gets her nails done. I decided to treat my self to a set of pink and whites. I walked in and was greeted right away and was sitting down to get my nails done right away. The staff was very nice. The place was nice and clean. I will be going back of course.

I’ve been consistently happy with the service here at this nail salon and I’ve been coming off and on for the past two years. As compared to other nail salons in Pittsburgh I think this one is much better. The last time I visited this nail salon they helped me right away. The woman who gave me a pedicure took her time and made sure I got my money’s worth. I would recommend going to this salon if you live near the North Hills!

Quick and sloppy acrylic nail jobs. The owners child is in the salon demanding attention or crying, but the owner is pregnant again. Lol
Don’t go here. Her business is her daycare for her children and you will be disturbed and tense while getting your mani pedis.
In America it is tacky to leave kids running around salons while you work. I think Vietnamese culture is different. Honestly the manager should use birth control.
This is a shame because the salon is convenient to me and pretty inside

This place is wonderful. The owner is very nice along with all the staff that works there. I know when they first opened it was so busy you might have had to wait for an appointment but it was worth the wait. They have great prices and OPI nail polish. Since they have been open for over a yr now service has slowed down and you can get in and out right away. I love the face that the store is very clean and they show you that they sterilize all there nail tools. They offer many verities of nails from basic to Acrylics, Gels, and Silks. All great quality and last up to 3 weeks. I would recommend this place to everyone. They even have coupons now.

So I am new to town and asked for a recommendation and got sent here. I am not going to go back.
I got a manicure/​pedicure done by «Andy». the only decent part of my experience was an alright pedicure.
He made jokes about me being too tall and that the callous remover was going to make me shorter. weird and rude if you ask me.
He also NEVER asked me which TYPE of pedicure I wanted. They range in price from $ 22 and up. I am on a budget and wanted the cheapest one. When he started removing callouses, I asked «this is just the basic pedicure, correct?» he showed me the menu and said I already passed the serves of the basic and gave me the honor of picking what service I wanted from there… again rude and screams poor customer service.
Anyway, when I made sure I only got the basic manicure, he seemed almost bothered by me. Basic nail filing… looked over my cuticles… and did a poor paint job.
He said the whole thing was $ 42…but somehow charged me $ 43.
anyways I can see a lot of potential for a huge ripoff if you are not vigilant. I would go elsewhere if I were you.

awesome! best pedicure i have had. i also love their new gel manicures. i have really rough callous n they do thebest job in scraping off the dead skin n revealing the soft soles!

UPDATE: Lilly’s gone and so am I.
I was told to come in at 5 for a manicure, I showed up at 5 and they had 2 people working doing 2 pedicures. They didn’t even come over and ask me what I needed or yell from the pedicure station. They just kept staring at me. I could tell they weren’t close to being done with the pedicures, sat for 15 minutes and since they couldn’t be bothered to even greet me decided my time was worth more and walked out.
The don’t speak English very well and had their small child there which is another turn off for me. I go to relax not be stressed by a screaming kid. There are too many other places to go for less $ and less stress.

I have been a customer of Nail Studio II since the first week they opened in January 2012. I am a huge fan. I go every two weeks and have had the following services: Shellac manicure, regular manicure, regular pedicure, Shellac pedicure and waxing services. They do a great job with everything!
The owner is a real sweetheart and usually the one who does my services. She has 3 other employees and all three are wonderful. They all have great personalities and are very personable. I always have a good coversation with the staff when I am there, which is not the ‘norm’ for the other salons up and down McKnight Rd!
The salon is brand new, so it is VERY clean and very modern. Might sound snobby, but I hate going to the salons that are dingy and old looking. This one is a great, pleasant atmosphere and best of all, the massage chairs are great!
I highly recommend this new salon, give them a try and support a great new local business! :-)
