What a great spot to stop for freshly picked local grapefruit and oranges. When we were there in mid-February, Pineapple Oranges were being picked and are they ever the best! Juicy, sweet… never heard of them before because they must all get eaten locally. We also loaded up on a half bushel of Rio Star grapefruit($ 7.50) and they are wonderful too. They are going organic and the fruit is so flavorful, thin skinned, juicy, luscious. Wish I lived nearer, but they do ship!

We love this place! Yes, the juices are amazing. The orange juice is sooo sweet! Don’t forget the pies. Our favorite is the pecan — best I’ve ever had, but all their pies are amazing. I’m from MN so some of the pies are flavors I’ve never seen as a pie — like grapefruit. Yes, they are seasonal, but I know I’ve picked up pies for Thanksgiving. I saw another review mention their steak sauces and jellies. Definitely on my list to purchase next trip to the Valley. We have stayed in the Valley for only 2 weeks for years, but will be there — and at Klement’s — every week this Winter! Great, now I’m sitting in MN, and have made myself so hungry for the pecan pie. Ordering one when I pick up some orange juice will be the first thing I do when I get to the Valley at the end of December.

A long standing holiday shopping tradition in the RGV, this grove offers a plethora of citrus varieties not normally found in stores. When you taste the tree ripened fruit & fresh squeezed, all natural juice offered at Klement’s, you will realize that what you’ve been buying in the grocery store is a pale imitation. In addition to the citrus, Klement’s offers several honeys, a wide selection of specialty jams, fresh baked pies, fudge, pecans and assorted regional items. Their orange-blossom honey is the best — pick up a jar. Whether you’re a local and/or lucky enough to be in the area during citrus season(Nov — March) be sure to stop by and enjoy an RGV treasure.

I was saddened to read a review that said this place had closed. So I decided to drive by– it’s open! Evidently, whoever wrote the review was unaware they are only open seasonally – duh! A great place to bring out of town guests, & a great place for locals to stock up on fruits, dressings, jellies, & jams. And the aroma is heavenly! I even found some inexpensive grapefruit spoons there!

Every Christmas I have Klement’s Grove send a gift basket of grapefruit to my brother. Brother’s in the health-food business, you can’t find anybody more picky. He loves the fresh fruit from Klements. I love their friendly and efficient customer service. Thanks to the Klements family for quality products and service!

I met with a play group and we took our kids on the tour there. It was fun even though the tractor was broken down at the time, we pulled the kids in wagons and they enjoyed it. The staff was really helpful. The orange juice was delicious. A nice local place.

This is usually a mandatory stop on each trip to the Valley. Anyone in this area will have their mouths automatically salivating the moment you mention Klement’s Grove, so be prepared for that. They’re mostly famous for their juice. My favorite is their orange juice – nice and tangy without any tartness. It is all incredibly fresh and delicious. My hubby really likes their grapefruit juice, but it just hasn’t won me over yet. What a lot of people forget is that Klement’s also does amazing jams, jellies, spreads, sauces, marinades, etc for your cooking delights. Plus, since they come in different sizes and flavors, they make for great gifts. Since I don’t tend to eat a lot of sweets, I always make sure to stock up on their steak sauce(we like the merlot one). I believe you can tour the grounds and even pick your own fruit when it is in season though I’ve never done it. I’m all about supporting locally owned businesses, but when the product is as good as the stuff here, you don’t need any extra justification!
