This is one great place for the price. I thoroughly enjoyed my two night stay here. There was some confusion on my booking, but they took care of me very quickly. I will stay here again if I am in the area!

In a prior life this building may have been a Microtel or Motel 6. Now it is better. The rooms are small, but heeeey, how much room do you need? This isn’t a richie place, more like the kind of place you might find in Milwaukee in the 1950s. It is clean, well maintained, reasonably quiet for a location in a expressway. There were not many guests the night we stayed so you may have to get here before they jump the shark.

So I just stayed here at the Happy Days Hotel. I must say it is a very fun place to stay. The 50’s motif it’s pretty awesome. This place is no 5 star hotel but the service is exemplary. Extremely friendly and well trained anything that we needed they were able to get to quickly, and without having to go to ask another person. The rooms were decent size for the price and they had handicap accessible rooms. It’s a non smoking hotel that has very easy access to get outside to find a smoking area with plenty of seating and ash trays. Things are definitely old and dated but kept up very well, it is supposed to be a blast from the past. The carpets are old but clean. In our room the beds were covered with old chenille blankets to add to the décor of everything but the bed linens were new clean. I think one of the neatest things that they do is that house keeping wraps that paper seal around the toilet every time they clean it so you know it was done. There is an amazing diner in the hotel parking lot. About 150 paces from the front door of the hotel. Behind the hotel is a extremely fun family fun center that offers bowling, miniature golf, indoor rock wall climbing, arcade games, and a lounge for the adults. I can easily say anytime I bring the family up or down 69 hwy through Oklahoma we will stop here for a little fun, nostalgic eye candy, good food, and relaxation. Thanks Happy Days Hotel.

There aren’t a lot of hotels to pick from that are under $ 80 off of Hwy 69 in Oklahoma. For the price of $ 60 for one king bed you can’t beat it! The hotel is VERY clean and well taken care of. Plus you have the fun bonus of having a 50’s themed room! Not to mention Angel’s Diner the awesome 50’s themed restaurant right in front of the hotel. Great breakfast there by the way! The staff at the hotel was very helpful and super friendly. It was so quaint and friendly that it felt almost like a bed and breakfast atmosphere. The continental breakfast had plently of food. We liked it so much that we stayed here twice. Once on the way into Texas and then going home after leaving Texas. We had the James Dean room and the Elvis room. Highly recommend this hotel!

I am very particular about the hotels I stay in but judging by the reviews I felt this was a good choice. The other reviews were fairly accurate. For a mid range, value priced hotel our room was clean. We stayed in a deluxe suite. The main bed was ok, an older style comforter. The fold out was fortunately for our son because the mattress was terrible. However, one thing I was very pleased about was that they were pet friendly and we were traveling with a puppy. The carpet in the new building showed no signs of allowing animals so I give Happy Days kudos there. I would recommend for travelers as we were passing through and needed a place to rest.

Picked this place because my wife liked the name but what a great experience, 50’s themed rooms, very clean and comfortable. What a nice change traveling with my family to have a little fun in the theme vice your typical bland roadside motel. They are pet friendly and gave us a Military discount. Angels diner across the parking lot is awesome and just paces away from your room.

Came to McAlester just to stay here with my stepmom who is a serious Elvis fan. What a super cute place! The lights, the sign, the décor… all of it very fifties and very cute. Our room was a Marilyn Monroe room(next time im swinging for the Elvis Suite though!). The beds were so comfortable. I know that everyone has a different type of bed they prefer but this one was mine. Not too soft, not too firm. just right for me. When we checked in I thought the lady at the front desk was not friendly. Maybe she was just distracted though. One thing we incorrectly assumed is that they would have an elevator. You will be hoofing all your stuff up some stairs unless you request a bottom room. The breakfast in the morning was just waffles, cereal, bagels and coffee… perfectly adequate. The morning staff was really pleasant. even giving us a portion of their paper so we could scout out some garage sales. Overall I would definitely recommend. For the price(65 bucks) you cant get better. One thing I will definitely say is that this is one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. They clean like its a 4 star. Bonus — super close to the casino and Angel’s diner right in front was exceptional.
